Broken remained silent for a moment, his gaze sweeping across the faces in the room. After a brief pause, he spoke.
"Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Even if not everyone has spoken yet, I believe what's been said already represents both sides of the argument well enough."
He glanced at the gathered group, then continued.
"I have three reasons why I might decide to let Alora take the crown as Queen Regnant, the Sovereign Ruler."
That alone made his stance on the matter clear.
"First Respect for her."
He straightened slightly, his expression resolute. "I'm confident that if I asked, she would willingly hand the crown over to me."
Broken paused, letting the weight of his words settle before adding, "Does that make me a bit arrogant?"
"Shut up," Jovina interjected with a playful smirk. "The fact that you can marry her at all shows just how much influence you already have, Broken. Haha."
Broken smiled softly and nodded.
"I don't want to strip Alora of her crown and humiliate her in front of the nobility and the people. Considering how her position has already been undermined and attacked from multiple fronts, this is her best chance to prove that she is worthy of ruling as the true sovereign of Dissidia."
His gaze shifted to everyone present before he continued.
"Second-Political Stability. I believe this is exactly what Maylock mentioned earlier. If I immediately declared myself the new sovereign ruler, it could trigger rebellion from the traditionalist nobles, who still see us as outsiders-players, not native Dissidians."
There were no objections, so Broken pressed on.
"Third-this one's more personal. I don't care much for titles. My priority is protecting the kingdom and protecting Alora. Beyond that, I'm happy to let Alora handle politics while I focus on defending the realm and completing quests that will require me to travel outside the kingdom."
His voice softened slightly. "This way, we both serve Dissidia in the ways we're best suited for."
Several people remained silent, still processing his words. The atmosphere felt heavy with thought-until RememberMe broke the silence.
"Damn!" RememberMe exclaimed, grinning wide. "My dream of calling you King Broken has to be delayed!"
Before anyone could react, Forev cut in. "You idiot. Broken is still the King, you asshole. It's just that Princess Alora will be the one sitting in the highest political seat, as the Queen Regnant."
Elincia nodded in agreement. "I think your decision is reasonable, Broken. By focusing on defense and military strength, you'll steadily earn respect from more people. You won't just be a political figure-you'll be known as the Sword King, the protector of the realm."
Before Broken could respond, Booba jumped in with his usual enthusiasm.
"Broken, you don't need to worry about all this! We can build our own kingdom later and make you the true sovereign. That way, both you and Alora will have your own kingdoms!"
Jovina chimed in. "And Ivana too, right? She is a princess too."
The mention of Ivana caused a ripple through the group. Several heads turned, their focus shifting toward the unexpected subject.
Maylock responded with a faint smile.
After more extended discussions, their conversation began to shift toward another pressing
matter.
"Now," Maylock finally said. "We need to talk about Ivana."
However...
Suddenly, a loud banging echoed through the room, the heavy pounding on the door coming
in rapid bursts.
Tora immediately moved to open it.
When the door swung wide, everyone froze in surprise.
Standing there, out of breath and clearly distressed, was Fokil.
"Broken!" Fokil's voice carried a note of panic.
Broken shot up from his chair, striding toward him with a concerned frown.
"Sir, is something urgent?" he asked.
Fokil nodded quickly. "It's Ivana!"
"Ivana? What happened to her?"
Fokil clenched his fists, his breathing uneven. "We can't find her anywhere."
"What?!"
