Chapter 723: Chapter 723 - Make Dissidia Great Again

"I'm sure this will be quite a long and important discussion..." Broken began with a serious tone. "So, I'm inviting all members of the Vensalor Guild to join us for this."

In the same room, floating screens materialized above several empty chairs, displaying the avatars of each member joining the meeting.

"Broken, congratulations! You did it!" Elincia was the first to shout.

"Hahaha! Too bad I wasn't there for the final moments," Booba chimed in.

"Damn it! I lost my ring again!" Melliandra groaned, drawing laughter from the group.

"But seriously, we need to throw a huge party for Broken and Queen Alora's official wedding ceremony!" Jovina added with a grin.

More laughter followed.

"You truly are a man, Broken. Khi khi khi."

Once everyone had gathered, including Tora, who joined a little later, the atmosphere in the room shifted to a more serious tone. The discussion was ready to begin.

Broken took a moment before speaking. "I'd like to give anyone here the chance to speak first."

Maylock gave a slight nod. "You're certainly humble to let others go first in something this important."

"The decision is obvious, though," RememberMe chimed in casually.

"Shut up, RememberMe," Forev shot back.

Maylock pressed on. "Alright, the first topic we need to address is the future ruler of the Dissidia Kingdom,"

The room fell into silence. Everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts, weighing the gravity of the matter at hand.

"I want to hear from each of you first," Broken said, breaking the stillness.

But no one spoke immediately. The silence stretched on until Goldrich finally stepped in to break it.

"Broken," he began, "I'm sure everyone here has a lot to say, but it looks like no one wants to go first. So, I'll take the lead."

Broken gave a small nod, signaling him to continue.

"So, Broken... I'm going to speak from my personal perspective, as a member of the Vensalor Guild," Goldrich began, his voice steady. "We've made a massive contribution to this war. Yes, I know we weren't the only ones to make all of this happen, but let's be honest - we played the biggest role."

Several heads nodded in agreement, acknowledging the truth of his words.@@@@

"Even so, her status has been controversial. Many opposed her claim to the throne, which led to the formation of factions against her. The reason? She's half-human and half-elf- something the more traditionalist factions couldn't accept. And her main rival for the throne was Demian... whom we've already taken down."

Maylock scanned the room, his gaze lingering on each person before he spoke again.

"This kingdom spans vast territories, with many high-ranking nobles holding influence in the cities across the land. We could take the most brutal and bold path - seizing the throne by declaring Broken the new ruler. But make no mistake, that will spark rebellions in multiple

regions."

A tense silence followed as Maylock's words hung in the air. Some of the members shifted uncomfortably, clearly uneasy with the harsh reality he'd laid out.

"Then just wipe out anyone who opposes us," RememberMe suggested casually.

"That's certainly the easiest solution," Maylock replied with a smirk.

"I believe it would be a foolish decision if we let the chance slip for Broken to become the ruler," RememberMe continued.

"Well, that's exactly why I'm presenting this," Maylock said, leaning back slightly. "I'm laying out the worst-case scenario so everyone here can respond as harshly as they want."

"Keep going, Maylock," Elincia encouraged.

Maylock gave a quick nod and continued. "The real problem is that taking the throne from Princess Alora will likely trigger a prolonged civil war. And considering our status as players - outsiders in this world - it will only increase resistance against us." "But Broken has done more for this kingdom than any of those nobles ever did!" RememberMe interjected. "Why should their opinions matter when they've contributed

nothing?"

Forev chuckled dryly. "You're surprisingly naïve for someone who's used to dealing with

politics."

"Well, someone's gotta play the opposition, right?" RememberMe grinned. "Even if I'm making dumb arguments, it's good to have someone push back against Maylock's points."

The tension eased slightly as a few of them chuckled at RememberMe's playful defiance. But

soon, all eyes turned to Broken once again.

"What about your opinion, Broken?" Maylock asked.

Broken nodded slowly. "I've considered three key factors... but first, thanks for opening up

this topic, Maylock."

Everyone nodded in agreement, leaning in with anticipation. They were ready to hear his

reasoning.
