Chapter 1326 Death Order Stones
Chapter 1326 Death Order Stones
Flunra panted, his body was forced to wake up when he sensed a powerful killing intent that was locking onto him. Steam rose from his body as alongside his consciousness—his energy was also stimulated and began overpowering the lingering death energy.
Realizing that it was only Rex, he sighed in relief.
"Your Majesty, you scared me" He complained and sat down.
Rex clicked his tongue seeing him distraught, "Are your senses becoming dull from old age?"
Sensing displeasure in Rex's tone, Flunra clarified himself quickly.
"It wasn't anything like that, the creature specialized in stealth. I could not sense what it was doing with its energy and it caught me by surprise. Also, it was an animal—I did not expect it to do that"
"Be more attentive. You out of all people should know not to underestimate anyone"
"Yes, Your Majesty. It will not happen again."
Even though it could've ended badly, Rex waved his hand—it was an honest mistake.
As opposed to taking this incident, as the negligence of Flunra and Gistella, it was better for him to take this as a reminder that the minion—and the Order Beast terrorizing the Elves are that dangerous.
Moreover, the minion itself was not dangerous.
It was only dangerous because of the fact that it was very intelligent and stealthy.
Had Flunra and Gistella been ready for the blast, none of them would've been hurt.
Flunra, in particular, wouldn't be knocked out if he managed to react.
But since he was in his Human form, that blast was able to knock him out cold.
...
Description: Incapacitated, whether it is through severely wounded or knocked unconscious means death. Having the user's pack members incapacitated, by a single minion, is a slap to the Silverstar Pack's reputation. Avenge this mock by wounding Shadow by only helping the user's pack members, Flunra and Gistella, with the user's Lunar clone.
Rewards: 2x Ring of Silverstar, Eternal Death Affinity, and 10 Pack Skill Upgrade.
...
Hmm...? Pack Quest? Is this another fluke of yours, System?
Rex was skeptical when a Pack Quest appeared since it was mainly used by the System—to lead him to a troublesome path. But then again—Shadow must be eliminated as it would not leave the Elves alone.
It was something that needed to be done and the Pack Quest is an additional reason.
But before that, he would need to help Gistella and Flunra recuperate first.
"Queen Shanaela, do you have an elevated open place that is closer to the moon?"
"I'm not sure..." She replied, pondering. "I think there is one, I can lead you there"
"Good, lead the way," Rex nodded before he turned to the others. "Come."
Queen Shanaela brought Rex, and the others to a particular wide tree—that was not too far away from the Dewmist Village. She said that the branches of the tree branched away from the center so it gave a clear sky-view.
Along the way, Gistella who was being carried leaned close to Rex and sniffed his scent.
She frowned when his scent was barely there.
"Is this your clone?"
"Yes, a clone made from Lunar mana"
Gaining her senses back, Gistella now realized that this wasn't Rex's real body.
"Where is the real you? Is there a problem?"
"Well, there's a slight problem but nothing I couldn't handle"
"Did something happen to the city?"
"Yes, but the city forces are enough to handle the situation. It should be fine"
Since Rex said so, the city should really be fine.
Rex bought a formation blueprint from the System shop—and gave it to Flunra, it would help them regain back their strength faster. As those two rested, Rex decided to venture out—on his own.
"I was told there were two minions. One was killed while the other is still around"
Knowing that the death toll for the Elves was already quite high, Rex decided that it would be best for him—to get rid of the other minion, as soon as possible. Since he was here already—there's no reason not to do that.
Despite his current limitations, Rex still has his constitutional prowess.
A Lunar clone from the Master Clones spell is better than a raw clone of Lunar mana as it still retains Rex's bodily abilities associated with his Werewolf bloodline—his senses, were almost as sharp as normal.
Added with the red force, scanning the wide-spanning forests was not that hard for Rex.
In about ten minutes, he covered the entire forest.
At that realization, Rex could only sigh heavily.
He knew what was coming and as it always has been, there would be war for these things.
...
Meanwhile, in the depths of the Undead's tomb.
"Rex..."
A massive chamber could be seen, spanning at least around six to eight football fields.
Sitting in a meditative position at the center of an altar was what seemed to be an Undead, radiating an aura of death, that could kill a normal person and disturb others. Around it was countless of drained bodies, stacked against one another.
Orcs from their burly appearances, several tribes of them judging from their numbers.
All of these bodies were pale gray, drained of their life forces.
So much so that these corpses were creating several mountains that reached the ceiling.
Considering that the Undead was here, it was clear that it was responsible for these corpses.
"Rex..."
Swoosh!
A gust of death energy pulsed from the Undead, breezing through the entire chamber.
Just then, another Undead, a Death Knight in thick armor came into the chamber.
He scanned the place and couldn't help but gasp.
Absorbing the vitality of a hundred Orcs was already hard enough in a day, and about two weeks ago, he remembered the chamber was still empty—from these corpses. But in that span of time, the chamber was filled to the brim.
In a rush, the Death Knight went over to the Undead at the center.
"Elder, that's enough, you are cultivating recklessly. At this rate, the Netherworld would strike you with a blast, your body couldn't handle, you'll die!" the Death Knight said, voicing the raw concern in his mind.
Despite the warning, the Undead kept the altar active and absorbed the life force greedily.
Swish
Boom!
"Kargghkk!"
A greenish ray pierced the dimension and struck the Undead.
It broke through the barrier and struck the Undead directly, evaporating its right arm.
But even then, the Undead persevered, healing its arm, and continued.
An hour later, another green ray struck the Undead—but this time the ray took the form of a skull that chomped down half of the Undead's body. Seeing this, the Death Knight, who was not able to watch summoned a black greatsword.
Making a forceful swing, he sliced one of the altar's pillars and shattered it.
Almost instantly, the altar died down, and the Undead opened its eyes, fuming in anger.
"I don't need your sympathy! I will make sure to reclaim my lost honor!"
"How will you do that, Elder?"
"By killing that damned Rex Silverstar with my bare hands..."
"You will kill yourself before you kill him, you're not a fool so stop acting like one"
"Silence!!"
In a fit of anger, the Undead shouted, shaking the entire chamber with only its voice.
Even then, the Death Knight wasn't willing to back down.
He stood his ground and took a step forward, "Elder Noskear! Keep this up and you'll die!"
"Not only would you be a disgrace if that happened but you'll never reclaim your lost honor!"
Upon hearing this, Elder Noskear was silenced.
On one side, she could not believe the Death Knight shouted at her while on the other—she knew that she was wrong. Earlier, she could even feel that she was about to be vaporized in entirety from the green ray.
"I know what you're feeling but there are other ways," the Death Knight stated.
Elder Noskear looked at him in confusion, "What other ways?"
"For example, we spotted a beast with a Death Order in the Elven territory..." He replied.
Upon hearing this, Elder Nosekar's eyes widened.
But soon, she cracked a smile, "Is that so...? Then that changes everything for me"
