Chapter 603 - 602- Wedding dress

Chapter 603 - 602- Wedding dress

The place Adrian led Ariana after breakfast was their home situated in a warm corner of the town. She was confused about it but didn’t question him

And soon, the moment her eyes landed on the villa, she realized why they were here.

"What...when did you even do all this?" Her eyes sparkled at the decoration.

The villa had been transformed into a sight worthy of a royal celebration.

Fresh garlands of white lilies, crimson roses, and golden marigolds draped over stone arches and wrapped around carved pillars, filling the air with a soft, pleasant fragrance.

Every window was adorned with colorful ribbons, while polished shields and ceremonial weapons gleamed proudly along the walls.

Several people hurried through the courtyard with baskets full of flowers, polished silverware, and embroidered tablecloths.

The cooks carried crates of fresh bread, roasted game, barrels of wine, and baskets overflowing with fruits into the grand kitchen.

Musicians tuned their lutes, harps, and flutes beneath a decorated pavilion, preparing melodies that would soon echo throughout the estate.

Tens of lanterns forged from bronze and iron had already been hung along pathways, balconies, and garden walls, waiting for dusk to bathe the villa in warm golden light.

In the center of the courtyard stood a raised wooden platform draped in rich velvet and decorated with blooming flowers, where the wedding vows would be exchanged before the guests.

Adrian gently held her hand and said, "I have been planning this for quite some time, and arranging the people wasn’t difficult either."

It only took a few extra coins to hire everyone he needed to make this wedding truly special.

He had bought the decorations well in advance, while everything else was taken care of by the people he hired.

Honestly, having the right connections made everything effortless.

"Ah, there you two are."

The voice came from their left.

As they turned, Ariana’s brows lifted in surprise at the sight of a familiar redhead.

"Ruby? You’re here too?"

Seeing the busy Tower Master here this early in the morning was nothing short of surprising.

"I mean, you couldn’t possibly get married to my fiancé without telling me, could you?" she teased, ending with a playful wink.

Ariana chuckled.

"I was planning to do exactly that. But now, I’ll just have to make you suffer by watching us exchange our vows."

The two women laughed together before Adrian asked, "By the way, where’s Forgelet?"

Ruby’s smile softened as she replied, "She... insisted on leaving. She said her presence would dampen the mood, and explaining why a giant dwarf was here would only cause trouble for you."

Adrian’s eyes widened.

"Then where is she?"

Surely she hadn’t returned to her homeland. The system had explicitly warned her against that.

Ruby’s next words put him at ease.

"Don’t worry. She’s with Querella. The two of them talked, and the system allowed her to go to Querella’s as well."

Adrian asked, ’System?’

[Host Forgelet has been transferred to a world where the deities hold no authority. That world is considered the safest place for Host Forgelet.]

Adrian nodded in understanding.

Right.

Raven’s world had been forsaken by the Gods because its people had once followed Nytharos. That was also why the world had fallen into such a miserable state, plagued by famine and hardship.

So yes, there was no better refuge for Forgelet, especially considering she was being hunted by the deities.

"Adrian, don’t worry. She’ll be safe," Ariana said, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.

Adrian slowly nodded.

He was worried about Forgelet, but he wasn’t going to let that concern ruin the mood.

Besides, Raven was far from irresponsible. Someone capable of governing an entire nation could certainly look after one person.

"Alright, let’s focus on the wedding. I’ll go speak with the priest."

"You arranged a priest?" Ariana asked in surprise.

"Of course. You didn’t expect me to read the vows myself, did you?" Adrian joked, giving her a playful wink.

He stepped forward, kissed Ruby on the forehead, then walked past the two women.

"Come," Ruby said, taking Ariana’s hand. "Let me show you your wedding dress first."

Ariana’s heart fluttered the moment she heard those words.

A wedding dress...

Ruby led her into the mansion.

Many people greeted her with warm smiles and heartfelt congratulations.

Ariana didn’t recognize any of the faces, which was only natural.

Everything had been arranged in such a hurry that inviting friends and family simply hadn’t been possible.

And the two people whose presence mattered the most, their fathers, were far too away to even know the wedding was taking place.

’Though once they find out...’

She could already imagine how Adrian’s father would react.

But she decided to think about that later.

For now...

"Waahhh..."

As soon as they entered the room, Ariana’s eyes fell upon the wedding dress hanging from a wooden stand.

Delicate lace embroidered with tiny floral patterns adorned the fitted bodice, while rows of fine pearls traced the neckline with quiet elegance.

The skirt flowed into soft layers of silk that cascaded to the floor like freshly fallen snow, ending in a long, graceful train.

Beside it rested a sheer veil, light as morning mist, completing a gown that looked less like clothing and more like something crafted for a fairytale bride.

"This is beautiful."

She could have described it in countless ways, but she was too awestruck to find the words.

Ruby smiled softly.

"I’m glad you like it."

Ariana looked at her in surprise.

"You brought this?"

Ruby nodded.

"Yes. Adrian said he could get it himself, but I wanted to see the look on his face when he sees you wearing it. So I decided to take on that role."

Ariana fell silent.

So much thought and care had been shown by a woman who harbored feelings for the very man Ariana was about to marry.

Yet not even the slightest trace of jealousy showed on her face. Instead, she seemed genuinely devoted to making this wedding as beautiful and unforgettable as possible.

Without saying a word, Ariana stepped forward and wrapped her arms around the redhead.

Ruby blinked in surprise.

"What happened all of a sudden?" she asked.

"Nothing..." Ariana replied, her eyes glistening with moisture. "I’m just happy I found a friend like you."
