There must be some discerning editors among them.
Ian believes in Batman's business acumen.
"I'll mail it tomorrow."
Ian, who was very much looking forward to it, tidied up his first volume of manuscript and carefully polished a few details. Then he went out of his room to wash up. When he came back, the clock on his desk had already pointed to a special moment.
【11: 59】
……
Ian quickly ran to his bed.
【12: 00】
……
Finally, at the last moment, Ian covered himself with the blanket. Ian lay flat on the bed with his hands folded over his abdomen, like a corpse being prepared for burial.
As each new day dawned, he entered that somewhat bizarre and fantastical world as expected, the biting wind brushing against his cheeks without causing any harm. Ian slowly opened his eyes; the familiar leaden-gray sky pressed down on his vision, and goose-feather snowflakes fell silently.
"My respawn point is really far away this time." Ian breathed a sigh of relief, looked around, and after finding the bridge as a reference point, he knew exactly where he was.
"Homelanders! Homelanders!"
Re-enter this world.
Ian's mind was filled with thoughts of getting closer to the "family." He brushed the snow away, glanced at the road signs, and then sped off northwards.
His strength and physique, several times greater than that of an ordinary person, made him run like a nimble cheetah, practically a human-sized vehicle, swiftly traversing one quiet street after another.
The snow is still falling.
This city is just too big.
Even at Ian's speed, he was panting heavily and ran for several hours before finally finding the familiar place, which may have been related to his brief period of getting lost along the way.
Ian felt he couldn't entirely blame himself for being directionally challenged; the main reason was that after learning this place was related to the Marvel Universe, he was also searching for other possible superhero corpses along the way.
however.
Got nothing.
Fortunately, they finally found the street where the Hulk and Homelander's bodies were located. The Hulk was already buried under heavy snow, but the snow accumulation wasn't too great.
Standing on the street.
Ian hesitated for a moment.
He looked at his significantly increased [Strength] and [Constitution] attributes and ultimately decided to climb with his own hands instead of looking for tools around him.
Humans invented and learned to use tools because of diligence.
And he.
Slightly lazy.
"Here I come, Azu!" Ian took a few steps back, then suddenly sprinted forward, climbing up the Hulk's arm like a rocket.
It turns out.
Boys who like to rely on themselves are usually lucky.
Ian succeeded.
He won the bet. He didn't know if Tang Niu was the God of Cookery; he only knew he was definitely a God of Gamblers. Clutching the Hulk's thumb, Ian reached for Homelander's head.
Blood that has completely clotted.
Her hand touched his slightly immature one.

Chapter 25 My eyes can see ghosts?
I saw.
Just as Ian's hand and Homelander's bleeding, completely broken spine came into contact, they met.
The system's voice rang in his ears as expected the next moment. However, this was neither the notification Ian wanted nor the bad situation he had mentally prepared for.
[You have come into contact with an unknown supernatural substance. Warning: This supernatural substance has completely subsided. You have been given a new mission. Please go to the job selection screen to view it.]
"What's going on?" Ian was slightly taken aback. He quickly opened his job selection interface, where a new option, "Silent Job," had appeared. As Ian's thoughts touched upon this strange selection, a line of text visible only to him slowly appeared.
[Awakening Quest: Please ignite the life force of this profession.]
As the saying goes, you won't know until you see it, and you'll be even more confused once you do. Ian was baffled by the system's concise task description. Was he supposed to resurrect Homelander, who had been dead for who knows how long?
"Ok?"
Ian turned to look at Homelander, whose head was severed and whose spine was completely broken, and who had been dead for who knows how long. He felt that his system might be making things difficult for him.
"Wait a minute, the Hulk is completely dead, so why didn't they say that the profession he brought with him also went into obscurity?" Ian tried to negotiate with his system.
The system, lacking any intelligence, simply did not respond.
"Bullshit! Absolutely bullshit!"
Ian was slightly exasperated at not getting what he wanted. He snatched Homelander's head from the corpse and then slid it off the Hulk's arm to the ground.
hesitate.
tangled.
After careful consideration.
Ian was clearly testing whether he could chew through the head in his hands. He believed in the conservation of energy and thought that perhaps letting Homelander's resources flow to him would rekindle the flame of life in Homelander?
however.
Despite having such a unique idea, Ian still had some psychological hurdle to overcome, since eating demons and eating people are clearly two different concepts.
"I'd rather not be this bootleg Superman!"
Ian ultimately failed to overcome his human instincts, throwing away the somewhat grotesque Homelander head in his hand and attempting to kick it away like a football.
That was a powerful blow.
Footwork at the level of the Chinese national football team.
Homelander's head flew far away, missing the trash can Ian was trying to kick, and instead landed on an abandoned bus stop covered in snow, in the exact opposite direction.
Homelander's head was intact, but the metal seat at the bus stop was dented, showing that the bootleg Superman actually contained quite a bit of genuine superpowers.
"Hey~"
Ian stared at the quest that hadn't disappeared. His wisdom couldn't help this time either; the extremely rudimentary quest description left him completely bewildered as to what to do.
"They can't really be trying to resurrect Homelander, can they?" Ian looked up at the Hulk's arm. He originally wanted to look at Homelander's headless body, but as he looked up, he noticed something was wrong with the sky. There was something moving in the usually gloomy and oppressive leaden sky.
The outline of that thing was blurry and indistinct, not like a living creature, as if it were about to emerge from the clouds.
"so big."
Ian could sense something faintly visible, as large as a small asteroid—hmm? Maybe it really was a small asteroid? The boy stared wide-eyed, speechless.
I saw.
The objects within the clouds became clearer, revealing a massive, round object that blotted out the sun. This occurred in a world where Ian had spent a long time in complete silence.
"Hey!"
A human voice can be heard!
Crisp!
eager!
The sound was like a thunderclap. Ian looked sharply in the direction from which the sound came, but he only had time to see the outline of a person before the familiar sound of the Returning Bell suddenly rang out ahead of schedule.
“Ding~~~~”
The first heavy chime seemed to freeze everything.
"Dang——dang——"
The second and third sounds followed one after another.
Ian woke up suddenly in bed.
【00: 42】
Even if it's a bizarre, early return.
But the clock still points to that seemingly unchanging time.
"There are still living people in that world!?" Ian's heart was still filled with surprise and uncertainty. He did a somersault and jumped straight up to the ceiling.
immediately.
He slammed his hands down on the ceiling, using the force to land smoothly back on the ground, just in time to put on the slippers that were placed next to the bed.
“All the superheroes are dead…who else is alive?” Ian was completely baffled by what happened at the last moment, and he also couldn’t understand why he had suddenly returned ahead of schedule.
This has never happened before. Is its occurrence related to the last shout heard, or to the mysterious circular object in the sky?
"Where's your wisdom? Let it come into play?"
Ian slapped his forehead.
Don't even say it.
It had a tiny bit of effect, but it was clearly used in the wrong direction—a certain image suddenly flashed through Ian's mind, and then he thought of his awakening mission and the Hulk's figure.
"Smack smack smack~"
Ian's slippers made a clown-like shriek as he ran to his older brother's bedroom and pounded on the door. A bewildered Jordan rubbed his eyes and opened the door to look at his younger brother.
"what happened?"
Jordan was greatly puzzled.
He yawned, looking somewhat tired.
Where are your comic books?!
