Ghislain had refrained from moving directly to the fourth stage of his core cultivation due to the importance of stability and balance.

In the third stage, cores were positioned in his chest and below his navel. The next set of cores would be located in his thighs. To maintain equilibrium, he had to create them simultaneously in both thighs.

"Hah..."

A crimson breath escaped Ghislain’s lips. Five cores now rotated in unison, drawing mana and circulating it throughout his body.

"I’ll have to distribute this carefully."

With Dark’s power fully exhausted, Ghislain could no longer amplify his mana through external means. The newly generated cores were replenishing the rest of his system, but they remained fragile, holding less than half the capacity of his original cores.

"Still, it’s enough."

Kaien tightened his grip on his sword, staring at Ghislain.

"You regained your strength somehow. I was sure your mana was completely depleted."

Ghislain shrugged. His recovery defied not only Kaien’s expectations but the laws of nature itself.

"Let’s just say it’s a skill honed through dancing on the edge of life and death."

Kaien’s eyes narrowed.

"Remarkable. But why didn’t you use this power from the start?"

Had Ghislain unleashed his full strength earlier, the battle would have concluded much faster—regardless of the victor.
