The fairies I flirted with in the game became real?!

Chapter 397: The Ultimate Task

Chapter 397: The Ultimate Task

Granny Gu forcefully snatched the puppet wearing clothes made of flesh and bone from Li Muyang’s hands, and frowned while looking at the lifelike figure in her grasp.

"However, you’ve indeed raised this malevolent spirit well... How did you manage to do that?"

When this malevolent spirit was originally given to Li Muyang, it was nothing but a small toy.

But now it had obviously improved a lot.

Out of curiosity, Granny Gu asked, but Li Muyang didn’t want to answer the question.

"Granny!" Li Muyang said through clenched teeth in a helpless plea for help, "Won’t you really lend a hand? If you don’t help, Little Wild Grass is truly going to lose!"

Without any Immortal Artifacts to protect her, Little Wild Grass was still struggling to hold on against the siege of three mysterious assailants.

This demonstrated just how exceptional her talent was.

Her combat power could even be considered outstanding among Immortals.

Unfortunately, with no Immortal Artifact and outnumbered, she was at a disadvantage.

Seeing that Little Wild Grass was gradually being defeated, Li Muyang grew anxious.

Whether Little Wild Grass was killed here or captured... it seemed like either would signify a loss in the game!

Surely, the endpoint of raising her couldn’t be to let Little Wild Grass die, right?

Li Muyang was anxious, both for the prospect of game failure and for the safety of Little Wild Grass.

However, Granny Gu in front of the ancestral temple remained indifferent.

She looked up at the sky, watching the three mysterious assailants and said, "I can’t possibly intervene."

Granny Gu once again calmly rejected Li Muyang’s plea.

"If I were to intervene, it would trigger an incredibly terrible disaster."

"But those three things seem to know as well, they always maintain their distance, not daring to get close to Black Cloud Fort..."

Granny Gu frowned as she watched the battle in the sky and said, "What exactly is the origin of these things? Do they possess such a keen sense of crisis, or do they know the secrets of the malevolent lineage?"

Granny Gu mumbled to herself, her words heavy with information.

But it all boiled down to one sentence—she couldn’t make a move.

She also forcibly took the puppet wearing the flesh and bone clothes from Li Muyang, preventing him from unleashing the power of this system artifact.

Although the description of the puppet in the system artifacts mentioned that it couldn’t be used against a True Immortal, Granny Gu was indeed trying to protect Li Muyang...

But this was a game!

Li Muyang thought about giving it a try, even if it meant dying once. It didn’t matter; he just wanted to buy some time for Little Wild Grass.

Yet, in the end, he could only watch helplessly as Little Wild Grass was defeated in the sky, bound by a ghostly blue Soul Binding Chain wielded by the three mysterious assailants.

Noises from the chains echoed through the sky as Little Wild Grass, struggling, was forcefully dragged away by the three assailants, heading north.

"Our Xie vein clan’s skills are passed down to daughters, not sons!"

Granny Gu showed extreme disdain.

Just as she finished speaking, however, a faint white light suddenly gleamed from Li Muyang’s chest.

In the shadowy light, it seemed to form an arrow pointing northward.

Granny Gu was slightly taken aback, drawn to the white light.

Li Muyang opened his collar and took out the Jade Amulet he wore around his neck, which was the source of the glowing light.

Li Muyang explained, "This was refined by Little Wild Grass for me, she has one too. If the distance between us exceeds one thousand miles, the amulet will react and point towards the other’s location."

Previously, when wandering the Four Seas, Little Wild Grass worried that Li Muyang might get lost while wandering alone, and hence she created this amulet to connect them, preventing them from losing each other.

Seeing the amulet, Granny Gu’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"Little Wild Grass actually refined this thing? Can it be used to find her location?"

In front of the ancestral temple, Granny Gu pondered for a moment.

Suddenly, she made a decision and said to Li Muyang, "Little fish, indeed there’s a way here that can help you."

"It may not necessarily be able to rescue your Little Wild Grass, but at least it can give you the power you need to try and save her."

"However, the price of this power is steep; once used, you must sacrifice yourself, and be utterly obliterated."

"Are you willing..."

"I’m willing!" Li Muyang said decisively, "Granny, please help me now!"

Isn’t it just dying once?

After all, it’s Jiang Xiaoyu who would die, what does it have to do with me, Li Muyang?

Li Muyang just wanted to quickly gain power, then rush to the rescue.

He hadn’t expected there to be a backdoor to the Xie vein clan’s power.

Could a mere mortal like Jiang Xiaoyu really obtain Divine Power capable of opposing an Immortal?

Li Muyang said, "Granny, let’s begin right away!"

Li Muyang showed great eagerness towards death.

It seemed as if he couldn’t wait to die.

This attitude towards death made Granny Gu look at him intently for a while before she finally shook her head with regret.

"What a pity, such a pity..."

Now Granny Gu was lamenting that Li Muyang wasn’t a girl; otherwise, she would have passed all her skills onto him.

As she spoke, she turned and walked towards the tightly closed doors of the ancestral temple.

"Come in. I’ll take you to meet the ancestors."
