Ruan Jianan knelt on the ground, looking at Lin Yanan expectantly, the ring in his hand shining brightly. Lin Yanan burst into tears, her heart filled with emotion and joy, and was about to respond.

Ruan Jianan poured Ouyang Min a glass of water and said, "Don't be anxious. Talk slowly."

Ouyang Min took the cup of water and took a sip. "Some time ago, my father fell ill and needed a large sum of money for surgery. We borrowed from everyone we could, but we still couldn't get enough." As she spoke, tears began to well up in her eyes.

Lin Yanan felt sympathy and asked, "What's the situation now?"

Ouyang Min sobbed and said, "The doctor said that if the operation is not performed soon, my father might..."

Lin Yanan looked at Ruan Jianan, her eyes full of confusion.

Just then, Lin Yanan's cell phone rang. It was her former friend calling.

"Yanan, I have something here and need your help." My friend's voice sounded anxious.

Lin Yanan's heart tightened, "What's wrong?"

Friend: "It's hard to explain over the phone, can you come over?"

After hanging up the phone, Lin Yanan looked worried, "Jian'an, something seems to have happened to my friend."

Ruan Jianan comforted her, "Don't panic, let's send Ouyang Min back first, and then go to your friend's place."
