Chapter 6 Spirit-Level Great Fury
Chapter 6 Spirit-Level Great Fury
"Hmm." Mizushi nodded and picked up the large sword.
This sword is a very long sword, with a hilt that is a full ten and a half feet long and a blade that is half a foot long. The rust on it is covered with bloodstains, indicating that many ferocious creatures have died under this sword.
Mizushi usually stutters a bit when he speaks, so he talks relatively little, but he is also very honest.
Luo Feng chose this guy because he's a big guy who's direct and honest, so that when the time comes, it will be more convincing to say that he ran away.
At this moment, a group of people from not far away gathered around, including an old man who came up as well.
"Dano, you can go hunting, but I'll say it again: don't let him get away. If he dares to run, shoot him dead."
As Luo Feng listened to the old man speak, if he remembered correctly, when he first entered the village, the old man said that he didn't seem like an extraterrestrial visitor he had ever seen before, but those words were a bit too harsh.
"Uncle Ba, don't worry. With the captain here, how could he escape? The captain's archery skills are the best in the village. He can shoot through a ferocious leopard from a hundred meters away. He's a foreigner, and he looks delicate and tender. He can't withstand a single arrow from the captain."
Before Luo Feng's clone could speak, Big Wolf patted his chest and said.
"Uncle Ba, don't worry, no one can escape from my grasp," Dano immediately declared.
The old man, Uncle Ba, looked at Dano. With those sharp eyes and those solid muscles, like a fully drawn bow, he was indeed not going to escape.
Uncle Ba stepped forward.
"@¥%……%%@%".
He muttered some kind of incantation, and finally patted Luo Feng's clone's head with his withered hand, a ritual they always performed:
Every time they went out hunting, the village elders would give these able-bodied men their blessings, wishing them a successful hunt and a bountiful return.
Finally, after giving Dano a big hug, Uncle Ba hugged each of the other four people who were going out.
"We'll return laden with our spoils," the big wolf said, patting his chest.
"Uncle Ba, let's set off now." Dano addressed Uncle Ba again, then waved and walked along the road at the entrance of the village into Da Mao Mountain.
Luo Feng himself was being pulled along by the big wolf, following behind them.
This direction is the same direction I came from.
That leads to the depths of the Damao Mountains.
Rumors circulate in Maoshan Village that deep within the Great Maoshan Mountains dwell various powerful and ferocious creatures, some even surpassing the Awakening Spirit Realm. Maoshan Village has an ironclad rule: no one can cross the designated red line. Once crossed, there's a high probability of certain death deep within the Great Maoshan Mountains.
Their journey only took them to the shallow part of the pass of Damao Mountain; they dared not enter Damao Mountain at all.
Based on Dano's memories and Luo Feng's experience when he first arrived, he recalled that his location on the outer edge of Mount Damao was still fraught with danger.
Fortunately, he only encountered one ringed snake and a wasp.
On the edge of Mount Damao, the most common ferocious creatures are the four types of livestock: Chi Niu, fierce sheep, fierce mare, and armored pig. There are also ferocious creatures such as gray leopard, three-eyed tiger, large ringed snake, stone dog, and big mountain wolf. Other dangers, such as groups of killer bees and fierce army ants, are extremely terrifying.
There are also highly intelligent monkey-people and gorillas, who are quite troublesome.
If he had landed a little deeper and encountered that powerful and ferocious creature, he might not have survived.
After traveling for about two and a half hours, Luo Feng's clone, who was walking in front, gestured and suddenly slowed down.
"Captain, can we go a little further?" Erba looked around and said.
Although he was older than Dano, when hunting, the rules of the group still had to be followed, and they all had to address Dano as captain.
"Then let's go a little further." Luo Feng knew that there would be a chance when things were more dangerous.
After another forty minutes of travel...
The designated red line area has been basically reached.
"It's right here. This area is deep enough; there are plenty of bushes here, so we can hide."
Luo Feng's clone spoke, his gaze sweeping over the five people, including his main body:
"We don't have much time left to hunt until nightfall, so our usual hunting methods won't work."
"In a moment, we'll have this guy act as bait outside. The four of us will hide in different places. I'm the strongest, so I need to be in the front. The four of you will mainly handle some cleanup work and prevent any emergencies. You should be at least twenty feet away from me."
All four nodded repeatedly.
Fifty-one then said, "Captain, are you sure this guy would be willing to use us as bait? What if he has a different opinion of us..."
"Don't worry, although this is the outer edge of the Damao Mountain area, with his strength, without us, he'd only be dead here. He can't escape," Big Wolf said nonchalantly.
"Keep your voice down. You know this is Damao Mountain." Twenty-Eight frowned and glanced at Big Wolf.
Mizushi's gaze scanned the surroundings, keeping an eye out for any possible ferocious presence.
"There's...there's movement." Mizushi seemed to have some difficulty speaking. He tugged at the big wolf and pointed in a direction.
Even Luo Feng's gaze turned towards them.
The low bushes began to move, but only for a short while.
There, a huge tiger, comparable in size to a water buffalo, was carrying a cub in its mouth. Its body was covered in blood, and a large, torn wound could be seen near its belly on its paw.
And it has a third eye on its forehead.
"Damn! This three-eyed tiger with its piercing eyes and its size is a Spirit-level Great Ferocious! Our luck is terrible, let's run!" Big Wolf couldn't help but curse.
Everyone couldn't help but step back.
How could they encounter such a powerful ferocious beast at the Spirit Realm level in this place? That beast is comparable to a master of the Awakening Spirit Realm. Even if it is injured, Captain Dano would have little chance of dealing with it.
and so.
Upon seeing this thing, almost involuntarily, including Luo Feng's clone, they all retreated. Seeing their expressions, Luo Feng's main body also feigned nervousness and followed suit, retreating repeatedly.
"Captain, what should we do?" the 28th Company asked, their expressions tense.
"It's injured, can we take it down?" Number Fifty-One was young and impetuous, his nervousness mixed with a hint of excitement, as if he were the least afraid of them.
The big wolf cursed, "What the hell? If a ferocious beast of this level weren't injured, even our chieftain would have to retreat."
"Even if this thing is injured, it's still not something we can handle! Captain, I think we should retreat. This guy is obviously hungry; the way it looks at us makes it want to eat us."
Luo Feng's clone stared intently at the ferocious beast. The wound was large, and judging from its eyes, it seemed to have just experienced a major battle. When it exhaled, its neck rose and fell noticeably.
With that wound, it might be a great opportunity.
The Spirit-level Great Ferocity is equivalent to the Awakening Realm level of Qi Spirit life, but the Ferocity is born with great strength, so it is stronger than other Qi Spirit life of the same level.
If it were the Dano of the past, even if this three-eyed tiger were severely injured and its stamina greatly reduced, it probably wouldn't have dared to even consider it.
However, Dano, as Luo Feng's clone, possesses exceptional combat experience, so it's worth a try.
If successful, this guy's flesh will be a great source of nourishment, and might even provide the original body with a lot of energy.
The author looked at it, licked his lips, and thought to himself that he had never expected to encounter such a good thing.
Contrary to what the wolf thought, they were very lucky.
"Everyone, please step back. Scaled Fish is right. Since it is badly injured, I will find an opportunity to test it." Dano stared at the Three-Eyed Tiger and spoke in a low voice.
He happened to be standing in front of the five people, and the other four exchanged glances upon hearing his answer.
Want to give it a try?
What's with this three-eyed tiger?
"Captain, is this feasible?" Big Wolf asked, unusually worried.
"Don't worry, we can give it a try." Luo Feng's clone nodded, already preparing the bow in his hand.
"Captain, then... be careful." The others had already retreated quickly, and Mizushi stammered.
Luo Feng himself was also about to retreat when Twenty-Eight pushed him, his eyes conveying a signal and warning that he needed to stay by Dano's side.
