He walked up and followed behind her. She stealthily opened the door a crack, peeped out, and seeing that her parents indeed weren't outside, motioned for Hao Jian to come out. Once he stepped out, she pushed him and pointed towards her bedroom, indicating for him to quickly dash over.

But at this moment, her parents' bedroom door suddenly opened. Her brows furrowed immediately. Just then, Hao Jian, with his extraordinary hearing, heard the sound first; as the door lock turned, he acted, taking wide steps and rushing toward her bedroom.

"Whoosh!" In a flash, as the bedroom door opened, he dashed into Zhang Danlin's room, finding somewhere to hide. Just then, her mom came out, seeing Zhang Danlin by the door.

"Weren't you showering? How come your hair isn't wet?" her mom asked, looking puzzled.

"Ah!" Zhang Danlin tensed up but thought on her feet, replying, "It's hard to dry my hair at night, so I didn't wash it."

Her mom acknowledged with an "oh," said nothing more, and went downstairs. Immediately, Zhang Danlin hurriedly opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her, then entered her bedroom.

"Where are you, Hao Jian?" Zhang Danlin asked.

Hao Jian poked his head out from inside the wardrobe, saying, "I'm here."
