kent's jaw tightened, but he remained silent, waiting for her to continue.
madam clark took another sip of her wine, her gaze sharp as she looked over the rim of the glass. "i've already arranged for your fake identity. "you will go by the name kent hall, a distant relative of the supreme sword magus, and a secret disciple of his. the story has already been spread, and your past has been carefully erased. no one in the seventh realm will know that you are kent clark."
kent's eyes widened slightly at the revelation, his mind racing as he tried to comprehend the extent of his mother's influence.
"how... how did you manage all of this in such a short time? did sword magus agreed to this?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
madam clark stood up, slowly circling around kent, her gaze never leaving him. "my network runs deeper than you could ever imagine. i've spent years building connections, creating alliances, all to protect you and prepare you for what's to come. there's much you don't know, kent, and even more that you must learn about the 9 realms under-world network.
there are more powerful people than these supremes and half-sovereigns."
she paused, standing directly in front of him now, her eyes boring into his. "my son," she said, her voice dropping to a near whisper, "i'm sending you to the seventh realm for three reasons."
kent stared back at her while trying to see her motives behind her words.
"the first, is for you to discover the truth about your childhood on your own and to know your father as the man he truly is. you need to understand where you come from, and what lies in your bloodline." she said, raising a finger.
kent's heart pounded in his chest, the weight of her words pressing down on him. his father? the man who had been nothing but a shadowy figure in his life?
"the second," madam clark continued, "is to understand the strength of the quinn family's army and the true power of their war capabilities. you must know the forces you may one day have to face. knowledge is power, and without it, you'll be walking into a battlefield blind."
but as he held her, a deep, gnawing sense of dread settled in his chest.
when they finally pulled apart, madam clark looked at him with a sad smile. "remember, kent, no matter what happens, you are my son. you always will be. but now, you must go and fulfill your destiny. the future of our family... of everything we've built... depends on it." she said softly.
kent nodded, his resolve hardening as he looked into his mother's eyes one last time. as she nodded her head, kent moved out of her chamber with a heavy heart.
madam calrk stared at his leaving back with hope. she believed that one day, he would forgive him.
after kent left, she took out a golden paper inscribed with runes. "he is coming soon. get ready to serve your son-in-law. i hope you remember your sworn promise, ragnor."
as she whispered words, the golden paper burned and turned into dust.
in the 7th realm, frost family headquarters, the brother of ryon lionheart, ragnor stared at the golden letter in his hands with a smirking smile.
"finally... my wait is over." ragnor murmured as he stared at the fist tattoo on his forearm.
