In the chaotic tavern, only two halfling assassins remained. They had completely lost the will to fight, letting their weapons fall into pools of blood, crouching down with their heads in their hands, huddled in a corner waiting to die.
—Okay, that's enough chaos. Let's call it a day after we've killed everyone.
She raised her greatsword listlessly.
Just then, a thunderous roar from behind her jolted her awake.
Seeing the six-armed serpent demon about to attack the remaining halflings, the dragon-blooded paladin Beric took a deep breath and let out a roar like a dragon's cry!
The glasses in the cupboard shattered all at once!
The six-armed serpent demon stopped its greatsword, which was about to swing downwards, and turned to look at him curiously.
The dragon paladin's entire body was shrouded in a pale golden light, and she could only vaguely make out that he had the head of a bronze dragon.
She commented, "That's really interesting."
Without a word, Berlik raised his longsword, imbued with the Holy Sword Technique, and charged toward her.
The six-armed serpent demon turned slightly to the side.
She recognized several spells on the dragon paladin with just a glance. With a slight thought, the three barrels rolling in the pool of blood spun together, passed by her, and flew towards Berlik.
Berlik was forced to halt his charge.
He swung his sword with both hands, cleaving two barrels of liquor flying through the air in succession, getting himself thoroughly drenched in quinoa liquor from head to toe.
He couldn't free his hands to wipe the wine off his face, and he could barely open his eyes.
Moreover, each of the two barrels contained hundreds of pounds of liquor. The impact caused him excruciating pain in the web of his hands, and sticky blood soaked through his iron gauntlets, making it almost impossible for him to hold his sword.
Just then, the last barrel flew close to the ground and struck Berlik hard in the shin, causing him to tumble and fall into a pool of blood.
The tavern echoed with the maniacal laughter of demons.
The two remaining barrels spun and flew into the air, then slammed into Berlik's head like cannonballs!
Just then, with a loud "boom," the hole in the wall suddenly doubled in size.
Before the six-armed snake demon could react, a large figure leaped out from the hole in the wall, pounced on her, and slammed her against the opposite wall.
Caught off guard, she only had time to raise her twin swords to block the attacker's enormous claws.
However, her middle two arms were held tightly by the other party.
There was a "boom" sound.
Her back slammed heavily against the tavern wall, feeling as if her internal organs had been dislodged, and the two greatswords she held in her arms at the bottom flew out of her hands.
At that moment, the picture frame and portrait hanging on the wall behind her crashed to the ground, splattering countless large and small bloodstains. Meanwhile, the dragon-blooded paladin, Berlik, rolled twice sideways in the pool of blood, narrowly avoiding the mind-controlled barrel.
The two barrels, carrying over two hundred pounds of liquor, flew out of the tavern's main entrance and smashed to pieces in the middle of the road.
Even now, the six-armed serpent demon hadn't clearly seen what was approaching. All she saw was a huge mouth full of fangs close at hand, snapping at her furiously while emitting deafening roars.
The stench from her mouth gave her a headache.
She could only temporarily use her two middle hands to forcefully push the chin of that huge mouth backward to prevent it from biting her.
On the other side, Berlik, covered in blood and panting, stood up again. Thick blood dripped from his dragon face, scales, horns, and armor, but the golden holy light emanating from his body only made it more dazzling.
When the dragon-blooded paladin saw the two enormous creatures fighting in front of him, he was stunned.
The one who pounced on the six-armed serpent demon was an exceptionally strong giant.
It had bluish-purple skin, and a sparse, unkempt head of white fur. Its face was indescribably bizarre and ugly, with a prominent nose and mouth, and well-developed canines, making it resemble a baboon or a dog. It had a pair of scarlet eyes. What suppressed the six-armed serpent demon's twin swords was the large creature's two disproportionately large arms, its ten fingers gripping the blades like steel hooks. A pair of smaller arms grew from its sides, tightly gripping the wrists of the six-armed serpent demon's lowest pair of hands.
Berlik murmured, "Drow of the Demonic Race..."
The city guard captain was devastated, his eyes bloodshot.
First came the six-armed serpent demon, and now even a half-demon has appeared... Is this still the city of paladins? This is the seventh level of the lower city under my jurisdiction!
—The halflings who secretly raise demonic drow, and that damned six-armed serpent demon and her summoner, must all be purified!
The six-armed serpent demon roared in fury.
She used her middle two hands to push the big man's mouth back with all her might, then used only her middle right hand to support the big man's mouth, and quickly freed her middle left hand to reach out and grasp the blood in the air.
The greatsword that had fallen into the pool of blood immediately flew back into the hands of the six-armed serpent demon.
However, at such a short distance, the greatsword is completely useless.
She immediately swung her sword backhand, plunging the blade into a crack in the stone bricks of the wall, then snapped it off with force. Only a fragment of the greatsword, less than two feet long, remained in her hand.
The sword spun, and the broken blade pierced the big man's chin with a "whoosh".
The big guy let out a bloodcurdling scream and frantically shook his head.
She gritted her teeth and continued to thrust upwards with all her might.
With unwavering focus, I watched as the tip of the broken sword appeared in the opponent's gaping maw, full of fangs, and continued to slowly pierce upwards into the head above the opponent's mouth.
Only when the broken sword tip, covered in blood and brain matter, emerged from the top of her hairy head did the big man collapse limply onto her, motionless.
But its two giant hands still gripped the sword blade held by her uppermost hands tightly.
The six-armed snake demon, panting heavily, pushed aside the large corpse.
Her six arms ached, and the only usable sword in her hand was only half left. The two greatswords, whose blades were held by the big guy, were impossible to pull out.
Looking up at the opposite side, the dragon-blooded paladin, bathed in holy light, was charging towards them with blood splattering everywhere.
"Damn it, the opportunist is here."
She muttered to herself, but couldn't help laughing.
How amazing, she thought.
The fact that she was in dire straits only made her feel more excited and thrilled.
In the blink of an eye, the golden, shimmering humanoid holy light clashed fiercely with the giant human-snake surrounded by purplish-black spiritual energy.
Berlik's roar echoed through the Dragon Horn Tavern.
If someone were to look down from the street into the tavern, they would see a dazzling golden light suddenly emanating from the doorway, illuminating the interior, which had somehow been transformed into a scarlet hue.
The paladin's blade, imbued with holy light, swept through the air, forming a golden fan shape, aiming straight for the demon's head.

Chapter 43 The Night Visitor (Part 4)
Clad in heavy armor, the paladin gleamed with golden light, raised his longsword imbued with holy light, and charged forward, his momentum unstoppable.
They were about to be within a sword's width of each other.
Berlik saw the six-armed serpent demon opposite him raise its lower left hand and gently beckon to him.
The demon used its mind to remotely control a pile of severed limbs and bloody remains, which then pounced on his face.
Berlik gave a cold laugh. The fact that the other side chose to throw these harmless things meant they were at their wits' end.
—You've run out of tricks, you devil!
He closed his eyes, neither dodging nor avoiding, and leaped up to meet the attack head-on.
In an instant, he was enveloped by the heavy smell of blood and the stench of internal organs, while his body and face felt countless tiny impacts and the soft yet cold touch of flesh.
As soon as the feeling cleared, Paladin Berlik immediately opened his dragon eyes.
He had broken through the flying limbs and severed arms, and in front of him was the towering body of the six-armed serpent demon!
He coldly observed that the stunningly beautiful face opposite him was filled with fear and anger.
Die, demon! Demon-Slaying Slash!
With a silent roar, Paladin Beric swung his sword with all his might, channeling all his will and power into this strike.
A "plop" sound came from beside my ear.
The sensation of the blade slicing through flesh traveled from the sword to the palm of his hand, filling Berlik with ecstatic joy.
The six-armed serpent demon opposite him let out a painful scream.
The blade, imbued with divine energy, pierced her flesh, and the moment it came into contact with the filthy, poisonous blood, wisps of smoke rose from the wound, accompanied by a hissing sound.
Having successfully landed the Evil-Slaying Slash, Berlik was greatly encouraged and unleashed a second strike.
With astonishing swordsmanship, the second sword strike, the Demon-Slaying Slash, accurately struck the wound from the first strike, cleaving straight from the demon's shoulder into her chest and abdomen.
The six-armed serpent demon's expression became even more pained, and its screams grew louder, its voice containing the agonizing groans of countless women.
The deafening sound made the paladin dizzy and nearly caused him to lose his balance.
He gritted his teeth, strained his arms, and gripped his sword to continue slashing downwards: "Die! It's over!"
Feeling the demon's hard ribs being cleaved layer by layer by his sword, Paladin Berlik mustered all his strength to cut the massive demon body in two.
But at that moment, he was astonished to find that the demon's expression had changed.
The six-armed serpent demon's pained and ferocious expression, caused by its injuries, had completely disappeared.
Her emerald green vertical pupils stared at him, a half-smile playing on her lips.
The dragon-blooded paladin's yellow vertical pupils contracted slightly.
He saw the six-armed serpent demon's face and body begin to change drastically, twisting and contorting before turning into countless tiny specks of light and disappearing. The body that had actually been cleaved in two by the longsword was a striking iron-blue color.
At some point, the target of the Demon-Slaying Slash became the corpse of the Demon-born Drow!
The next second, Paladin Berlik roared as cold and excruciating pain pierced his abdomen!
Berlik looked down in shock and anger and saw a greatsword radiating purplish-red spiritual energy emerge from the abdomen of the demon-born drow and plunge deeply into his right abdomen.
A sharp pain pierced through his body and radiated down his back.
Berlik gasped for breath, and blood gushed from his dragon mouth and wounds.
The chaotic and evil energy associated with the greatsword was constantly destroying his life force.
The voices of demons poured into his ears:
"What a powerful Demon-Slaying Slash! It was just a hair's breadth away from hitting you. What a pity."
As the paladin launched his leaping charge, the six-armed serpent demon, in the nick of time, used telekinesis to hurl large amounts of flesh and blood at him. It wasn't intended to harm the paladin, but merely to slightly slow his movements and blind him.
While the dragon paladin closed her eyes, she used one of the signature abilities of the six-armed serpent demon race: projection. A projection identical to herself appeared before her.
Berlik opened his eyes and swung his sword to break the evil slash, actually mistaking the projection technique for her true form.
Meanwhile, the real her used her mind to remotely retrieve her fallen greatsword and used the corpse of the demon drow as a shield.
The paladin's second sword strike, the Demon-Slaying Slash, pierced the corpse of the demon-born drow.
Hidden behind the corpse, she silently pierced the belly of the demon drow with her sword, then pierced the internal organs of the paladin.
The golden dragon eye glared fiercely at the emerald green demon eye opposite it.
"Why are you glaring at me?" the six-armed snake demon said nonchalantly. "It's because you're too stupid—"
As she spoke, she vigorously rotated her wrist.
Just as Berlik was about to cast Holy Heal on himself, the greatsword began to spin inside his abdomen, churning his internal organs.
He raised his head and screamed in agony.
Chaotic and malevolent energy seeped into his body like cold water poured into boiling oil. The unimaginable pain not only interrupted the healing process but also nearly destroyed his nerves.
Berlik trembled with pain, grimacing as he used one hand to grip the enemy's sword tightly in front of his wound, stopping her from continuing her antics. At the same time, he tried to pull back the holy-light-enhanced sword with his other hand.
But the blade remained firmly lodged in the drow's spine, refusing to budge.
The dragon paladin, with his last ounce of strength, roared, "For the Bronze Dragons!"
The shout gave him strength.
With a snap, the blade that had pierced Berlik's abdomen was broken off by him.
The six-armed serpent demon's limbs and the weapon she wielded automatically possessed an evil, chaotic alignment energy. However, when the broken blade within the paladin's body was released from her grasp, the malevolent energy attached to it instantly vanished.
Unconscious, Berlik fell straight down into the blood, splashing blood everywhere.
The six-armed serpent demon drew Berlik's sword from the drow's body and held it above Berlik's head. She hesitated; reason told her she should leave a witness as planned, but the chaotic, raging instincts of a demon told her she should plunge the sword directly into the back of the dragon paladin's neck.
The emerald green vertical pupils were sometimes resolute, sometimes struggling.
Normally, a reborn person would not hesitate to choose rationality, but having just experienced a bloody battle, her demonic blood was boiling, and she was excited to an extreme degree.
