Chapter 13 Sea Dragon Beast

After exploring along the way, Fang Xiu roughly understood the function of the digital cores in his body.

Firstly, the origin of the digital core is naturally inseparable from the other worlds within the gray fog space. After returning from the gray fog space, Fang Xiu gained three more digital cores, including the ones he already had.

The data formed by the shared power of Fang Xiu from Twilight City and Fang Xiu from Zombie City merges into one, becoming a digital core. When Fang Xiu activates the power within, it will directly transform into a Champion-level Digimon—Devimon.

The digital core that symbolizes Fang Xiu on the Divine Ranking will evolve into Wizardmon when activated.

Finally, and most uniquely, is the digital core formed from the shared power of Douluo Fang Xiu. It is blue and red in color, and when activated, it evolves into a subspecies of fire beast with its entire body burning with blue flames, possessing both fire and ice powers.

With a single sharing, Fang Xiu evolved into Greymon and gained three completely different forms, something no other Digimon could do. It just goes to show how overpowered the Gray Fog Space is.

Although the data of the several Digicores are different, they can be converted into each other. In other words, if Fang Xiu needs it, he can instantly pour the data from the four Digicores into one of the Digicores. Fang Xiu has a premonition that if he does that, he will temporarily evolve into his perfect form. Although it is temporary, it is like the Digimon of the Chosen Children, who use the power of the DigiDestiny to stimulate and complete a temporary evolution.

However, even a temporary Ultimate form is still an Ultimate form. Between Digimon, each evolution is a complete transformation, and few can fight against those of a higher level.

Holding a trump card is the reason why Fang Xiu dared to choose to explore the center of the island.

Of the four Champion forms, Fang Xiu's favorite is Wizardmon's form.

Wizardmon is a Majin-type Champion-level Digimon. It is shy and never reveals its true nature. It can use different types of magic through its staff, and its special move is summoning thunderclouds.

Wizardmon looks like a uniquely dressed elementary school student with human-like limbs, which is one of the reasons Fang Xiu chose this form.

Wizardmon's form can unleash lightning, making it an excellent tool for electrofishing. With a flick of its staff, a layer of fish floats to the surface of the water in no time.

Just like the fruit that grows on a tree, these fish are essentially data, and they taste quite good even without any seasoning.

After a full meal, Fang Xiu's data reserves allow him to go without eating for a long time, since he is a data life form. However, due to long-standing habits, Fang Xiu still finds something to eat every day.

It's important to know that Digimon are highly intelligent beings capable of speaking human language. Their intelligence varies depending on their evolutionary stage. Although some Digimon cannot speak, they can still communicate.

Along the way, the Digimon Fang Xiu encountered gave him the impression of being a bunch of idiots who only developed their bodies but didn't grow any brains.

Those Digimon can't speak, and their roars are basically meaningless; they're just random noises.

The Digimon on this island are not normal at all. They are more like wild beasts disguised as Digimon, following the instincts of beasts than Digimon.

This reminded Fang Xiu of the pseudo-Digimon created by the Dark Tower in the second season of Digimon, which he had watched before; the two were somewhat similar.

Even as he was distracted, Fang Xiu didn't stop what he was doing. He aimed his staff at the water and bolts of lightning struck down. Based on Fang Xiu's experience, fish would soon surface.

This time was different, however, as Fang Xiu's lightning strike disturbed the Digimon sleeping at the bottom of the water.

The once calm lake surface suddenly surged with waves, and a snake-like Digimon with four fins suddenly emerged from the lake.

Seadramon is an aquatic Champion-level Digimon in the Digital World. It is naturally aggressive, and Fang Xiu's lightning strike earlier startled it.

The sea dragon beast that poked its head out attacked Fang Xiu without saying a word. Fang Xiu, of course, would not just take the hits without fighting back. Without needing to switch forms, he pointed his staff, and a fireball was created out of thin air at the top of the staff and shot into the sea dragon beast.

As an aquatic Digimon, Seadramon naturally hates fire. The burning sensation of flames on its body is something Seadramon has never experienced before. Its chaotic mind is filled with violent impulses, and only tearing Fang Xiu, the culprit, apart can quell the rage.

Although it may appear to be about the size of a child, Wizardmon is ultimately a Champion-level Digimon, not to mention its massive data reserves driven by Fangxiu's multi-core processor.

With agile movements, Fang Xiu dodged the sea dragon's tail attack and swung his staff repeatedly, unleashing fireballs, lightning strikes, wind blades, and other attacks of different attributes that landed on the sea dragon.

Ordinary Wizardmon typically master three types of magic: Fireball, Earthquake, and Thundercloud Summoning as their ultimate move. However, Fang Xiu's evolved Wizardmon has two more attributes than ordinary Wizardmon, allowing him to unleash wind blades and ice spikes.

The thick-skinned, massive sea dragon was a sitting duck for Fang Xiu, who quickly collapsed, covered in wounds and unable to get up again.

Seeing the sea dragon beast that wanted to bite him even when it was down, Fang Xiu thought for a moment and put away his staff. Although he could have finished off the beast directly and even absorbed its data to replenish his energy, he decided against it given the beast's crazy behavior.

One or two might be isolated cases, but if all Digimon are like this, it could be some kind of data virus or something, and he doesn't want to be infected and assimilated.

The appearance of the Sea Dragon Beast was just an interlude for Fang Xiu; his goal remained unchanged.

As mentioned earlier, the island wasn't very large, and Fang Xiu had been traveling in a straight line, clearing paths through mountains and building bridges over rivers along the way. Occasionally, he would even fight some crazy Digimon that appeared out of nowhere. Soon, Fang Xiu arrived at the destination of his journey: the unnamed mountain in the center of the island.

That's how mountains are; they appear smaller when far away and larger when close. The closer you get, the more you can appreciate the towering peaks. Fortunately, Fang Xiu didn't need to climb any mountains.

As white evolutionary light surged, Fang Xiu's originally short figure rapidly grew taller, and the white radiance was replaced by darkness.

Wizardmon Transfer Evolution – Devimon!

When the black light dissipated, a figure completely black replaced Wizardmon. The tattered wings on its back told its identity, but what was most eye-catching were its claws. Devimon's arms were very long, and when it hung down naturally, its claws almost touched the ground.
