Of course, this international economic system, which relied on Britain's strong economic advantages, could not satisfy other European countries from the bottom of their hearts. This system was eventually abandoned by the major economies of the capitalist world during the economic crisis of 1929-1933, and countries began to adopt the credit money system, which has continued into the 21st century.
“Of course, gold is wealth, and that is the very foundation of the Rothschild family’s dominance in Europe.” Amschel nodded, waiting for Gisela to speak.
"Then you should know, sir, that there is a huge risk in international investment under the gold standard?"
“Of course, there are also cases of funds being tied up due to unforeseen circumstances.” Amsher nodded. Capital only has value when it is in motion; forcing it to remain still would be a huge loss for them.
“That’s absolutely right. We exchange real gold for other countries’ currencies in order to invest and then acquire more gold. But some unforeseen circumstances prevent our hard-earned foreign currencies from turning into gold, or even render them worthless. How ridiculous and absurd is that?” Gisela deliberately used “we” instead of “you” to address Mr. Amsher in order to get closer to him.
"So I want to change this system. I think the gold standard is outdated." The gold standard is a product of historical development, but it is not inevitable; it is merely an objective reflection of humanity's understanding of wealth over thousands of years. Its substitutes could be silver, gemstones (if their production is sufficient to support human economic activity), or even anything suitable.
Only after countless economic crises have economists gradually come to see the drawbacks of the gold standard and slowly explore a new way out. Gisela already possesses this knowledge from the future, and given the right methods and timing, it is not impossible for him to overthrow this system.
The princess's ideas completely captivated Mr. Amsher, just as the old man named Ochs had said: "To win a negotiation, the first thing to learn is to win the heart of your opponent."
"I want to adopt a fiat currency system, which, as the name suggests, means that gold is no longer linked to the currency issued. Instead, gold reserves serve as part of the credit rating system for governments, and the amount of gold a government holds can objectively reflect its creditworthiness. After that, international settlements will skip the gold link and use the currencies issued by the two countries for measurement. Central banks of each country will hold foreign exchange reserves in the form of foreign exchange reserves, allowing the public to freely exchange them when needed."
"This avoids the problem of capital stagnation in international capital markets to the greatest extent. If force majeure occurs, ordinary investors can take their foreign currency holdings to the central bank to exchange for their domestic currency, thus transferring the risk to the government."
"It's a good idea, so how do you plan to implement it?" For the Luo family, a credit money system is undoubtedly a good thing.
"Sir, leave the timing to me. You only need to provide some gold as support." Gisela's real plan was to use the Luo family's intelligence network to lure European investment into America, triggering the economic crisis that should have historically occurred in 1873. (Due to the Franco-Prussian War victory, Germany received a large amount of reparations, and speculators invested heavily in American railroads, ultimately leading to overcapacity in the American railroad industry and the outbreak of an economic crisis.)

Once a financial crisis erupts, the economies of all countries will inevitably suffer severe damage. At that time, economic reforms will be implemented, and in order to escape the crisis, all countries will follow suit, naturally establishing a credit currency system. After that, measures similar to Roosevelt's New Deal will be used to improve and reorganize the national economic structure. During an economic crisis, all countries will be affected, and whoever finds a solution first can reduce losses. By completing economic reforms first, the empire can take the opportunity to strengthen its influence over the German Confederation and delay the outbreak of war with Prussia, because Gisela knows that Bismarck would never fight a battle he is not confident of winning.
At this time, the Kingdom of Prussia, which had not yet unified Germany, was not much stronger economically than the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With its country in chaos and at war, it was likely to face a major crisis.
The time he had freed up was used to leverage his prestige from his economic achievements to pursue political reforms. Of course, these were just Gisela's pre-arranged plans, and his immediate priority was to persuade the Rothschild family. "Colluding" with them could reduce the difficulty of reforms to some extent, since they were genuinely wealthy.
“Your Highness, you know we are businessmen. If you are not willing to share your plans further, we have no reason to make such an investment.” Amsher was not a fool. He had no reason to gamble his family’s wealth on a princess who was not even a crown prince at the moment. Even if she was a magic user, the throne was not something that could be obtained by strength alone, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire had more than just her as a magic user.
“Sir, the Temple of Jerusalem needs your reconstruction, and the Western Wall has stood there alone for thousands of years. Don’t you want to take your children and people back there for one last look?” Gisela tossed her golden hair, appearing incredibly composed. “Your Highness, what do you mean?” Upon hearing “Jerusalem Amsher,” he suddenly raised his head and looked into Gisela’s eyes.
“Descendants of King David, do you not wish to return to the land where your ancestors lived for generations?” Gisela’s meaning was self-evident.
In this day and age, the largest Jewish group is the Ashkenazi Jews, whose name means "German," and they are also known as Afro-Jews. The ancestors of this group of Jews once lived for a long time in what is now the Rhine River basin of Germany, and later spread throughout Central and Eastern Europe, with many also migrating to North America. While some members of this group have retained their ancestral Middle Eastern appearance, others resemble Germanic (German) or Slavic (Eastern European) people.
Historically, the persecution of Jews has mainly focused on this branch of the Jewish community (including Mustache). At the same time, because their average level of education is higher than that of other Jewish branches, many well-known figures such as scientists like Einstein and Oppenheimer, Soviet tractors, and later billionaires like Zuckerberg and Bloomberg, as well as former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, have achieved significant success.
This elite group of Jews, adhering to their religious doctrine, all yearned to return to their long-desired homeland, Jerusalem. They had already discussed this matter extensively with high-ranking officials in Britain and France, offering to pay a substantial sum. However, these two long-established colonial empires consistently took their money first and then did nothing...
"Regarding your matter, we're not saying we won't do it, but we're not saying, we're not saying, that anything is definitely going to happen this way or that it can't be done. We're saying that anything is possible with human effort, we can find a way..." In short, the Jews were completely outmaneuvered by the British and French.
"Intelligence indicates that the British are infiltrating Egypt, and soon Egypt and the Levant will be bathed in the glory of the British Empire. The weak Ottoman Sultan will be powerless to stop it. I will become the helmsman of the empire, and I am willing to act as your intermediary to help you obtain sovereignty over this region from the British." Although Gisela had no affection for the Jews, he felt sympathy for the plight of the Arabs in that land.
Unfortunately, this is how great power rivalry works: in order to gain their own interests, they often have to sacrifice the interests of many smaller countries. Gisela was not a saint; what she had to do was get the Jews in front of her to cooperate with her for this purpose.
"You should know that the best buyers on the European continent are us Austrians, because our weak navy can't even sail out of the Adriatic Sea, let alone challenge Britain's hegemony in the Mediterranean. They will do the Empire this favor, whether it's to contain Russia or deal with France, it's all in Britain's interest." To be honest, looking at the European continent, given Austria's current situation, the most natural and best ally is Britain.
Britain viewed all of this the same way, since the Austro-Hungarian Empire could not challenge British hegemony and had territorial disputes with Russia, France, and Prussia.
“If you can help us realize this long-cherished wish, you will become a friend of all Jews.” Amsher was a businessman, but more importantly, he was Jewish. No Jew wanted to live under someone else's roof; returning to their homeland was what they wanted most. If this matter was accomplished, the Luo family would become true heroes in the eyes of all Jewish people, and they would become the Moses of the new era, leading their fellow Jews back to their homeland.
“Mr. Wise Decision.” Gisela took off her lace gloves and extended her right hand. Amschel also extended his hand. At this moment, the alliance between the Habsburg and Rothschild families was officially formed.
As for whether Gisela will keep his promise in the future, that is entirely up to him. After all, the Rothschild family has no choice but to trust him. After all, the Sixth Empire is ultimately an empire without a physical form, and it is fundamentally different from him, the real future ruler.
At this time, Gisela was unaware that the document the United States sent to Mr. Amsher also mentioned the hope that the Sixth Reich would take the lead in encouraging European capitalists to invest in the American railroad industry. Amsher was merely doing a favor, and he was in no hurry to fulfill the princess's promise. After all, he would not take such a risky step before everything was clear.
"Princess Gisela, is it?" At the same time, Gisela was unaware that her entire affair with Amsher had been witnessed by a long-haired girl hiding behind a hidden door. The girl carefully recalled every detail of the conversation and memorized it.
"Every generation has its own things to do, and I also have my own things to do."

Chapter 107 The Brandenburg Eagle and the Snows of Jutland: Capter 41 The Struggle in the North (Seeking votes and collections)
On December 24, 1868, as the Christmas Eve bells rang, an elderly king passed away peacefully in his bed at the Copenhagen palace, plunging the entire Kingdom of Denmark into mourning. This king, Frederick VII, not only brought democracy to the ancient Kingdom of Denmark but also led the Danish people to victory in the First Schleswig War.
Although he married three times in his life, he did not have any heirs to the throne. Ultimately, his throne was passed to the descendants of his cousin, Christian IX from the Glücksburg dynasty.
His death not only marked the end of the Oldenburg dynasty's four-hundred-year rule over the Kingdom of Denmark, but also signified that the country was embarking on a dark and thorny path.
Upon assuming the throne, the new Danish king, under the influence of Prime Minister Monrad, signed a new constitution that directly incorporated Schleswig and Holstein into the Kingdom of Denmark. This blatant annexation of disputed territory shocked continental Europe. Prussia and Austria-Hungary, as members of the German Confederation, decided to bypass the Confederation Congress and instead mobilize their troops to the Jutland Peninsula in the name of independent sovereign states.
Denmark's actions severely violated the provisions of the London Agreement, leading the British Empire, which had previously sympathized with Denmark, to side with Prussia and Austria. The Kingdom of Denmark had placed high hopes on mediation by France and the Russian Empire, but this time both sides tacitly maintained neutrality.
At this time, the Second French Empire was embroiled in rebellions in its overseas colonies and was also making tense preparations to resolve the Italian problem for the Kingdom of Sardinia. As for the Russian Empire, it was still in a period of weakness after the Crimean War, and the serf reforms implemented by the Tsar had exacerbated the discontent of the domestic nobility. Tsar Alexander II had no time to break off relations between Denmark and Prussia and Austria.
The Kingdom of Denmark found itself in a delicate state of diplomatic isolation, but the Danish people were kept in the dark by their domestic politicians. They fantasized about a new Viking empire rising in northern Europe while continuing to listen to "patriots" preaching Danish supremacy.
The Danes have long forgotten that their victory in the First Schleswig War was not due to their guns and cannons, but rather to the diplomatic support from European powers and the exchange of national interests as bargaining chips in a political game.
Those who experienced that war are either old, dead, or have decided to forget, while those who didn't experience it still yearn for the beauty of war. The poison called nationalism has now eroded this kingdom to a pathological degree, making war inevitable.
At this moment, the Kingdom of Denmark was like a train burning coal, speeding towards a dark abyss, where the demons had already laid traps for the people of the country.
At this time, Charlottenburg Palace, the residence of King Wilhelm in Berlin, the capital of Prussia, was brightly lit, and the huge hall was already filled with high-ranking generals from the Prussian army.
The flickering candlelight illuminated their grim faces, their expressions as solemn as statues.
"Miss Bismarck, has she not arrived yet?" asked the white-haired man sitting in the center.
"Your Majesty, she will be here soon." The one who answered was Frederick William Nicholas Karl, the old king's favorite son, who was also Chloris's brother and the crown prince of the Kingdom of Prussia.
"How many times has this happened?" William asked somewhat helplessly.
“The eighteenth time, Father.” This time, Frederick didn’t call him His Majesty William, but addressed him as Father. The old king’s memory was failing, and this was the last thing his son wanted to see. Of course, what bothered Frederick even more was that, in fact, his father trusted him less than that woman named Bismarck.
That woman, with her rude temper and utter lack of ladylike manners, was utterly terrible in every way except for her abilities. Of course, he still had to admit that Miss Bismarck was indeed very beautiful. Frederick, for reasons of self-interest, had actually boldly pursued Miss Bismarck, but was rejected by her on the grounds that he and her father were of the same generation and that the age difference was too great.
To be honest, this incident made him lose face at the time, but the other party was a magic user and the prime minister of the kingdom, so Frederick did not doubt that he would dare to break ties with Bismarck.
Just as Frederick was lost in thought, the hall door was pushed open. Two women entered: one was Bismarck, whom the king and generals had been waiting for, and the other was Princess Chloris.
"Tsk." Frederick clicked his tongue in a voice only he could hear. Bismarck and his sister were very close, which was one of the reasons he had distanced himself from Bismarck. Of course, he also understood at this moment that both Prussia and the Hohenzollern family needed this woman's help.
"Your Majesty, London has tacitly approved of our actions, but they demand that we Prussia not annex Schleswig and Holstein on our own, and that after the war, the territories of both places should be handed over to the German Confederation for joint administration." To put it bluntly, Britain still wants to maintain the status quo in Holstein and Schleswig.
However, once war breaks out, many things can no longer be resolved simply through diplomacy. Bismarck's goal in sending Austria-Hungary was to obtain the formal status of a confederation, not simply to wage war against Denmark by Prussia alone.
Upon hearing Bismarck's words, the generals present were immediately agitated. In their view, the original purpose of this war was to seize Schleswig and Holstein from Denmark, but now the British wanted Prussia to maintain the status quo in these two places after the war, which seemed extremely unreasonable.
"Miss Bismarck, is this the result of your so-called diplomatic work?" An old soldier stood up from his seat and said in a questioning tone.
Friedrich Graf von Wrangel, the most senior field marshal in the Prussian army, participated in the war against Napoleon I and served as a cavalry commander alongside Field Marshal Blücher, known as the "Marshal of the Advance." Decades earlier, in the First Schleswig War, he served as Commander-in-Chief of the Prussian army, a defeat that remained an indelible stain on his illustrious military career.
“Mr. Friedrich, I don’t want to argue with you pointlessly. I just want to ask you one question: after the outbreak of this war, do you need to worry about external interference?” The British request was only a post-war issue, but from the beginning to the end of the war, Bismarck did ensure that Prussia had no worries about any military operations.
As the Prussian army's number one enemy, the Austrians now stood in the same trenches as the kingdom.

Chapter 108 The Brandenburg Eagle and the Snows of Jutland: Capter 42 Prussia's War Preparations
After a moment's thought, Friedrich realized it made sense, so he sat back down. The generals who had been discussing and expressing their dissatisfaction earlier also stopped arguing because of the old marshal's silence. After all, although they were dissatisfied with Bismarck's arrogance as the civilian representative, they did not believe that they could do better than him.
"Now let us discuss the war plan." The speaker this time was Moltke, the chief of staff of the Prussian army. Although there were many marshals among the soldiers present who were of higher rank than Moltke, they still had to listen carefully to the arrangements from the General Staff. The General Staff's biggest supporters were the Minister of War, Ron, and His Majesty the King behind him.
“Before this, although we have conducted many simulations of the war against the Kingdom of Denmark, we must understand that real war is different from simulations on paper.” Moltke ordered his adjutant to unfold a map of the Jutland Peninsula.
"Firstly, according to intelligence reports from the Kingdom of Denmark, the Danish Minister of War, Carl Lundby, believes that the preparation and mobilization of the Prussian and Austrian armies will take three months from the start of the war, and we can only launch an offensive at the earliest in the spring of next year." Moltke said this with a playful smile, and the generals present, who were also highly knowledgeable about the strategy, smiled knowingly.
Clearly, they were all delighted to see their opponents so naive, foolish, and ridiculous.
Because Denmark's inefficient intelligence agencies were unaware that the Prussian army had already completed its mobilization, and the Austrian vanguard (the Magician Legion) had already been stationed in Hamburg, a premeditated war was about to begin.
"Regarding the commander of this war with Denmark, His Majesty, after consulting with our General Staff, has decided that Field Marshal Friedrich will remain the commander-in-chief. The old marshal participated in the First Schleswig War and is more familiar with the terrain of the Jutland Peninsula. Moreover, I believe that in our Prussian army, we probably cannot find a second soldier more respected and virtuous than the old marshal." Moltke first looked at King William and Field Marshal Ron, and after receiving their tacit approval, he said.
"As for the adjutants accompanying the army, it will be myself and Prince Frederick Karl." Frederick Karl (also known as the Red Prince, famous for frequently wearing the red hussar uniform on the battlefield), and of course, Crown Prince Frederick, will participate in the war as commanders of our army's Magician Legion. Clearly, the Danish Magician Legion is still quite weak; in fact, this war is more of a contest between traditional armies.
King William placed Prince Frederick in this army to give his eldest son a chance to gain experience and military merit, showing that the old king intended to groom him as the heir to the throne.
"Your Highness Chloris, you will be traveling to the Austro-Hungarian military camp as a key liaison to strengthen our cooperation with the Austrian army." To put it bluntly, the General Staff, led by Frederick's faction, seems unwilling to let Chloris steal too much credit, since Her Highness is a magic user and can more easily obtain military achievements that the Crown Prince cannot.
"Lord Bismarck, you will be the commander of our army's mage force, assisting us in dealing with the Danish mage." Moltke said, taking the memorandum from his adjutant while continuing to arrange the personnel deployment.
“No! General Moltke, I believe it is necessary for me to be stationed in Berlin during the war to ensure His Majesty’s safety, and diplomatic activities during the war are essential and of utmost importance.” Bismarck, whether for her own sake or for Chloris’s sake, had reason to reject the appointment.
"What does Your Majesty think?" Moltke looked at the old king, seeking his opinion and demonstrating the General Staff's respect for the king.
"It's alright, Bismarck can stay in Berlin and hand over command of the magic user troops to Miss Aughia Karl von Goben." According to the distant history, General Goben was only a major general and brigade commander at this time. Obviously, in this world view, as a magic user, she has already been promoted to lieutenant general. Although she is not qualified to attend the meeting today, she can be regarded as one of the best among the new generation of Prussian magic users.
"Yes, sir!" Moltke nodded, then turned to look at the map spread out before him, picked up his pencil, and continued:
"First, our troops will complete their assembly south of the Ida River." The Ida River originates in the hills south of Kiel, flows north across Lake Westensee to the vicinity of Kiel, then turns west, meandering across the Jutland Peninsula before emptying into the North Sea. It is 188 kilometers long and forms the natural border between Prussia and the Duchy of Schleswig during this period.
"In order to avoid the war from dragging on for too long and giving other major powers an excuse to intervene, and of course, to catch the Danish army off guard, we decided to launch an attack on the Danish army three days later, on the evening of December 24, which is Christmas Eve."
"At that time, Field Marshal Friedrich will lead his army to launch an attack from the southeast, forming a pincer movement with the Austrian army in the southwest, and striving to advance his troops to the vicinity of the Dannewerk defense line of the Kingdom of Denmark as soon as possible."
The Dannevelke Line, commonly known as the "Danish Border Wall," is a defensive dike dating back to the Middle Ages and is also Denmark's old border. Perhaps following historical tradition, Denmark has placed high hopes on this weathered and dilapidated line.
"Once we break through this line of defense, we will see Gopenhagen, and the fruits of victory will be in our hands." Moltke raised his right hand, and even made a handshake gesture as if to emphasize his point.
"Gentlemen, what about our Prussian navy? Don't they have any combat plans?" As the generals present laughed knowingly, a silver-haired girl raised her right hand somewhat unwillingly, her blue eyes filled with resentment and disappointment.
"Major Tirpitz, you have no place to speak here!" (Tirpitz is 19 years old now) The Prussian naval commander standing next to the girl said with a smile to the army leaders present, bowed, and then shooed Tirpitz behind him.
The reason why a major from Tirpitz could attend this meeting of "generals" is that the Prussian Navy was indeed very small, and even the naval commander was only a major general. However, as an independent branch of the military, it could not help but send someone to attend the meeting, which led to the comical scene of a major general bringing a junior officer.
Another reason for the Prussian navy's lack of status was that in the First Schleswig War, the Prussian navy was defeated and suffered heavy losses by the Danish navy.
After all, as a traditional land power, it is only natural that the navy is not valued. Without money, there are no warships; without warships, the navy has no strength; and without strength, there is no voice. So, how can they have a say here?
However, the rise of Prussia's or its navy's status can only be discussed during the reign of Wilhelm II, but that's another story.
“Sir, please allow me to finish speaking.” Tirpitz frowned slightly and stepped forward once more.

Chapter 109 The Brandenburg Eagle and the Snows of Jutland: Capter 43 Siblings (Seeking Votes)
“I know that the General Staff and His Majesty chose to conduct operations in winter in order to take advantage of the frozen ports and prevent the Danish Navy from fully committing to the campaign. Even if Your Majesty didn't explicitly say so, our navy understands your good intentions.” Tirpitz slowly walked to the edge of the table. (He had been on the periphery previously.)
"The Prussian Navy must fight Denmark, regardless of the outcome, even if it is small in scale, because it is a matter of the future development of the Kingdom's navy and the morale of the navy."
"I believe that all of you generals here are among the finest soldiers in Prussia. You should be able to understand what is most important to a soldier." Tirpitz said, glancing at the people present. Although the silver-haired girl was only a major, the aura she exuded was no different from that of a general.
Bismarck naturally witnessed this scene and looked at the silver-haired girl with great interest, her gaze filled with admiration.
"It is honor! But now our naval officers and men have no honor to speak of. We have failed before and become a laughing stock in Europe, but we are never willing to continue to fail. Now we want to regain our lost honor through this war."
"Gentlemen, I have a noble wish: that every soldier in the Kingdom of Prussia may be proud to be a member of the finest army in Europe." Tirpitz took a deep breath to calm himself, then looked at King William with sincere eyes, for only this man could change the established plans.
After Tirpitz's eloquent speech, the king finally began to speak after a few seconds:
“I like soldiers with a sense of honor, and I have no reason to disagree with your request. However, the fleet will not be allowed to set sail until the army achieves a major breakthrough.” King William quickly accepted the girl’s proposal. However, his words were tantamount to handing over command of the navy to the army, since the decision on whether a major breakthrough had been achieved was to be made by the army after assessment.
"Thank you for your understanding, Your Majesty." The young woman was very polite, then slowly retreated behind her superior. Tirpitz had already worked hard to secure a golden opportunity for his troops today.
It's worth noting that she's usually the type who would rather slack off than work, since the Prussian navy was quite relaxed during this period and didn't have many opportunities to be deployed.
At that moment, Tirpitz seemed to sense some unusual gazes, so she turned around and saw that the Chancellor named Bismarck and Princess Chloris were looking at her. She gently scratched her long, loose silver hair, then lowered her head and stared blankly. She didn't want to guess the inner thoughts of important figures unless absolutely necessary; after all, it was a very troublesome matter, the girl silently warned herself.
"Then today's meeting is adjourned. Generals, please go back and get some rest. You'll be busy again in the future," King William said jokingly as he stood up, then, supported by a servant, walked towards his bedroom. The generals present also left one after another, leaving only Frederick and his sister Cloris in the large conference hall. Even Bismarck tactfully left as well.
"Long time no see, elder brother. You still look as dashing as ever."
"You're also my sister. I imagine the banquet in Berlin went surprisingly well."
The two appeared to be exchanging pleasantries, but the atmosphere had almost reached freezing point. The candlelight shone on the two seated figures, casting their shadows long and menacingly long, making them look like enormous monsters.
“Sister, this is the last time I’m reminding you: don’t covet what doesn’t belong to you. I don’t know what you promised Lord Bismarck, but I’m telling you, don’t think that just because you have Bismarck’s support, you’re guaranteed victory.” Frederick fiddled with his white gloves, his gaze never once falling on Chloris, not even for a second.
“Brother, do you really think you have the victory in your grasp? Bismarck is the kingdom’s greatest and most visionary politician, so why did she choose me instead of you? Of course, for someone as mediocre as you, this is a question you will never answer, even if you spend your whole life on it.” Chloris smiled, her scarlet eyes filled with mockery, and her tone was sharp and sarcastic.
"You!" Frederick slammed his hand on the table, stood up, and glared angrily at his sister. He had to admit that his sister was a genius, and she was also a powerful magic user. No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't compare to his sister. However, he also had advantages that his sister didn't have.
"I have my father's love for me, my mother's support, the adoration of the kingdom's generals, and the blessings of the people (the last point is in my opinion)." In contrast, his sister only had Bismarck, whom the people called a witch (a smear by radicals), and her supporters were nothing more than a bunch of scoundrels and a group of weak bourgeoisie. He had no reason to lose.
“Then congratulations, Your Majesty the King, no! Let me think, I should call you King Frederick III.” Chloris looked at her brother with a smirk, she had no interest in arguing with him.
"When I become king, I will marry you off to Russia, and let those drunken barbarians seduce you every day. I will make you live like a prostitute, living in a daze, and then die in physical pleasure and regret for the past. I will make you understand that this is the price you pay for despising me, Chloris!" Frederick roared hysterically, for he had never been so angry before. This anger may have stemmed from the long-standing humiliation he had suffered at the hands of his sister, and he would never admit that he was weaker than Chloris.
"That's something to look forward to." Chloris gently lifted her skirt, displaying impeccable manners, while her lips still held that nonchalant air. She turned around with her head held high and walked towards the door.
"Where are you going? I haven't finished speaking! Stop right there!" She wasn't interested in her brother's complaints and dissatisfaction. Although this wasn't the first time he had yelled at and glared at her, Chloris had no intention of paying him any attention.
After all, she has her own path to walk, and she doesn't have the time to scheme and plot against mediocre people.
Sending her to the Austrian army to deepen their relationship? That would be perfect, since it would allow her to openly approach the charming Austrian princess.
She must be delicious... The thought made Chloris's lips curl into a slight smile.
