“You finally made it!” Li Dapang gave Xiao Han a glance and then said, “Business is good today.”

“Sister Yang just told me that at the end of the year, business will surge,” Li Dapang said helplessly as he looked at the other. “Many people are coming back from working out of town, and there should be quite a demand for this. Yang Lu took out her own bowl and chopsticks kept in the store and shoveled half of the rice from the takeout container into Xiao Han’s. She laughed, “Using my bowl and chopsticks, you don’t mind, do you?”
“I...” Xiao Han was about to say he’d use the container instead but was afraid Yang Lu might misunderstand that he disapproved of her. So, he quickly shook his head and said, “Why would I? You’ve given me the best you have.”
The two sat in the break room to eat.
The store was spacious, with an employee break room, providing a humane touch to the place. The room had a reclining chair and a table for staff to eat their lunch and dinner. Otherwise, staff eating out of lunch boxes in the store during those times would certainly seem unprofessional. Hence, having a room for staff meals not only made them feel comfortable but also made customers feel at ease.
Inside the break room, Xiao Han and Yang Lu dined alone together, facing each other. Xiao Han held Yang Lu’s bowl, while Yang Lu used a container. The dishes were in two separate takeout boxes.
“I don’t know if you’d like these two dishes or not!” Yang Lu looked at Xiao Han.
“They’re pretty good,” Xiao Han smiled and said, “We both have similar tastes.”
“Heehee, that’s good then,” Yang Lu chuckled.
In the room, it was just Yang Lu and Xiao Han. Yang Lu found Xiao Han becoming more and more mysterious. To this day, she still didn’t know his true background.
The staff too began to make their way home, weary from the day.
Li Dapang had been called away by Yang Xiaoyan as early as eight o’clock. Thus, after work, Xiao Han was left alone, and so was Yang Lu.
“Xiao Han, could... could you walk me home?” Yang Lu asked timidly, glancing at Xiao Han.
“Sure.” Xiao Han nodded.
After locking the main door, the two of them left the shopfront.
The newly renovated store had glass on both sides, and even the main entrance was a glass door. However, the shop was equipped with full coverage security cameras, capable of monitoring every corner of the room. Moreover, the cameras had night vision capabilities and were of high definition. There was no need to worry about break-ins.
And even if there were a break-in, the alarm system would sound immediately, and the police would arrive within five minutes.
Additionally, even if someone managed to get inside the shop, the safe’s door was uncrackable. In the darkness, the two walked slowly.
The streetlights elongated their figures. Yang Lu walked side by side with Xiao Han, casting him a sidelong glance. There was something attractive about the serious way Xiao Han walked; men looked handsome when they were earnest, and he showed a maturity beyond his years.
For some reason, Yang Lu never felt that Xiao Han was younger than herself. On the contrary, his mature demeanor and steady character made him seem like an older brother to her, making her behave almost dependently in his presence.

This simple action appeared easy, but it took all of Yang Lu’s courage. Xiao Han smiled, stopped walking, and withdrew his hand from her embrace. Yang Lu was taken aback, her face flushed with embarrassment as she looked down and said, “Sorry, I...”
“Silly, what are you apologizing for?” Xiao Han took off his coat, draped it over Yang Lu, then put his arm around her and continued walking.
Yang Lu was deeply touched, her heart warmed by his gesture. She had thought Xiao Han was about to reject her, but his actions proved to be more moving than she could have imagined.
Xiao Han walked Yang Lu all the way to the entrance of her apartment complex.
“Alright, go home and rest well,” Xiao Han said, looking at Yang Lu.
“Xiao Han, thank you!” Yang Lu hastily returned his coat to him, then added, “Thank you for walking me home.”
“You’re welcome!” Xiao Han smiled.
Yang Lu fidgeted with the edge of her clothes, seemingly having something to say. Suddenly, she stepped forward, threw herself into Xiao Han’s arms, and her lips found his. Xiao Han was caught off guard, but then Yang Lu’s slippery tongue slid into his mouth. Xiao Han eagerly responded, and their embrace became entangled.
Xiao Han’s hands involuntarily caressed Yang Lu’s firm buttocks, kneading them continuously.

As emotions reached a climax, both were left short of breath.
