Chapter 522 : Do you want to join me?
Chapter 522 : Do you want to join me?
"May I know what you're doing?" Matthew asked as he moved to remove the small daggers, pinning Ava to the bed.
She looked at him with embarrassment and smiled a little.
"I saw the older sisters were training, so I knew you didn't have company, so I came here to make you..."
"Lies don't work on me, Ava." Matt went straight and pressed one of his daggers into Ava's right arm, causing her to feel a strange pain. It seemed to burn her, but at the same time, it seemed to freeze her.
It was painful, but she endured it and looked down.
"I just wanted to sleep with you." She answered truthfully.
Matthew smiled at her.
He sat to the side and stroked her head a little.
"You are a good girl, and you have stunning beauty. Besides, you are strong and talented. You were able to get close to me in such a way that I only noticed it at the end. Being so good, you can perfectly get any man in this world. Why do you want to sleep with someone who didn't recognize you?" he asked.
She looked at him in confusion. "Didn't you just recognize me? You said I have stunning beauty, and you said several nice things about me. If that's not recognition, what is?" she asked.
Matthew stared at her, feeling trapped for a moment, but shook his head.
"I recognize that you're beautiful, but I don't recognize you as someone I want to take that step with since I place quite a bit of importance on that."
Ava nodded slightly. "I understand that, and that's why I came here. If I can get you to recognize me as a woman, or your woman, then that would be it. For that, we have to sleep together, don't we?"
"Besides, can any of those men you say I can get compare to you?" she asked, leaving a question up in the air, difficult to answer.
But soon, she spoke again.
"Ever since that moment when you beat me on my turf and used tactics I could use, I've had my eye on you, Matt. That day, I thought a thousand and one ways to get rid of you, to get rid of that race change you professed was possible. But the transformation you gave me made me see the world differently and made me realize that day I was destined to fail."
"I could never beat you, no matter how hard I thought. Since then, my world has revolved around you. That's why I tried so hard to make myself useful so you wouldn't kill me. Now, I've managed to be useful enough for you to hold me in high regard, so I think this is the moment I've been waiting for."
Matthew paid attention to her every expression and movement as she spoke, coming to sigh at the end.
After that, he looked straight ahead, stopped talking, and allowed the darkness of the night and silence to rule the room.
"Who knows?" Matthew replied, smiling. "I heard earlier that not many Heirs dabble in the underworld stuff. But, according to my research, a very peculiar and powerful name actively moves there; thanks to that name, I now have to move carefully regarding that."
"Who is?"
"Charles Relish."
"The famous Heir, who they say is on the same level as Gray Allen?"
"If even you've heard of him, that means he's worthy of my attention."
Ava nodded slightly and sighed. "I heard his name once in the underworlds of the Empire. I honestly don't know much about him, but such great eminences tend to resonate a lot in those places, as sometimes organizations call for their heads."
Matthew smiled, "The underworld runs by its own rules, but it doesn't seem to be too different from what you see in the normal world." He replied and turned a corner once more before walking straight for several blocks.
"Where are we going?" Ava asked.
"To meet a little collaborator."
"From the underworld?"
Matthew gave her a sidelong glance. "Where else?"
She nodded. "I guess it's hard for those mobs to move under the gaze of the likes of a powerhouse like you."
Matthew shook his head, helpless. "No, they're doing just fine. So well that they've made me interested in the way they operate so well. That's why we're going there, I want to learn a thing or two from them."
"Learn? Or kill them?" Ava looked at him, and Matt smiled softly.
"I wonder about that, too."
Matthew then took a few steps a little faster than Ava and stepped forward a little until he touched a small door.
Matthew spoke again. "For now, I think we should start by joining them. I'll introduce you to my collaborator." He spoke.
He immediately stopped in front of a small, darkened, and pitiful house, which didn't have a garden or anything like that. It was one of those typical houses built right in front of the road.
He knocked on the door shortly after, not allowing Ava to react.
