Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 494 Thoughts by Cecily Edevane

Chapter 494 Thoughts by Cecily Edevane

"There's not much to talk about him. I haven't done too much research and just bought some information. There is not much information on him, even within the Allen Clan. Still, if you want to judge whether he is dangerous, you should know that during his first appearance to the world, when Alice Allen accepted him as a subordinate, he had only 500 power." She replied.

Her answer made Egon and Cynfael look at each other in shock. "That was about 4 years ago, wasn't it?" Egon said, and Cynfael nodded.

"Maybe a little less."

"Still, from 500 power to his current power in just four years is ridiculous. What kind of mindless speed is that? Let alone the current and past eras; I've never seen anything like it in millions of years. Are you sure it's real?" Egon asked, looking at Cecily.

She shrugged in response. "What do you want me to tell you? It was the information they sold me. I don't think it's false, but it's hard to believe, " she replied.

Charles nodded; at this point, even he had to frown.

"Even with our best growth-type skills, we couldn't match that speed. Already getting powerful people is complicated; from there to actually getting to kill them is 10 times more complicated." He spoke.

Egon and Cynfael understood this better than anyone else; this made them worry, as they thought for several minutes straight.

Cecily saw them like this and mocked them. "Heh, you guys are really idiots."

Egon gave her a fierce look, causing Cecily to shrug.

"One look from you isn't scary. But I seem to have good information on something that is scary. I wonder what his blood tastes like." She said, smiling coldly as she stood up.

The other 3 followed her with their eyes. "What do you plan to do?"

"You guys suspect he's a Dietrich, don't you? If we suspect that, then there's nothing to think or do. We just have to verify it. If he were a real Dietrich, do you really think there's a way to stop him from ruling us? Don't be delusional, or do you believe in the mental delusions of that organization?"Nôv(el)B\\jnn

All three frowned, but Egon answered first. "The curses cannot be ignored. They are real, and you have clearly seen their capabilities."

She looked at him for a few seconds and then walked a little way to the window. She looked out into the courtyard that overlooked a mountain and smiled.

She raised her hand in the shape of a palm and placed it so that, in her view, the mountain was covered by the palm of her hand.

"They are like the back of my hand. Right now, they want to fool themselves into believing they are above Dietrich. They try to cover up the huge distant mountains with the back of their hands, not realizing that they can only cover up those mountains because of the distance between them. Do you understand?"

Egon frowned but sighed soon after. "No, you're looking at the world too short-sighted."

"Curses may not have that much power, but they are essential to cover one of our greatest weaknesses as a race. Without them, we have no versatility and are too linear."

Cecily retracted her hand.

"No one can deny the usefulness of curses. If they weren't what they are, implementing them into the race might be a good idea. But you understand what they imply. Besides, if you ask me, it's a very foolish way of thinking."

"For over 100 million years, we have been characterized as the mightiest bloody fighting power in this world. That's why we can rule for so long. Do you want to give that up for useless versatility? It's no use being able to throw 300 different blows with the power of a child if it's going to be received by a powerful man."

Although her words left Cynfael, Egon, and Charles thoughtful, none of them quite agreed with her, so she scoffed.

"Side with the Dietrichs?" she asked, and he nodded.

"The Dietrichs don't exist anymore; how can I side with them?"

"Not them specifically, but the side of those who faithfully follow what they left behind."

Cecily smiled.

"I'll ask you a question, Charles - from whom did you inherit your lineage and abilities?"

"From Dietrich, but..."

"Dietrich founded this world. Their abilities are the proof. The problem is that we vampires become a prouder society each time, unable to recognize the greatness of that distant mountain."

"They still lost. What's the point of doing something like that if you fall?"

Cecily sighed. "Well, hasn't that organization been losing a lot of battles against the Allens? Dietrich possibly lost against countless powerful people of different races who were at their peak. But them?"

Charles was silent, not knowing how to respond.

Cecily smiled and turned away. "You and I know the depth of power better than anyone, and we know the difference between us and the Dietrich Era. Now I wonder... Will you really continue to believe the mental delusions of those who claim to be greater than Dietrich? I am not on anyone's side.

Neither you, nor my father, nor anyone else in this world can convince me to follow the path they have because all paths are full of stupid and unnecessary trouble." After saying this and without waiting for any answer, she began to walk.

"That does not answer my question."

"I'm not looking to answer it either. I don't tend to talk a lot, and you know that. The things I do I do because I want to. So try to appreciate the time I've spent talking to you today; maybe you can understand the good things. And if you don't... Hehe, well, don't get in my way because you know I hate it when someone does."

After saying this, Cecily disappeared.

Although Charles was angry, in the end, he could do nothing. 'Tsk, this woman and her strange character don't go at all with that exquisite face of hers. Why is she so annoying? God, can't you be like Emma for at least once?' In the end, he sighed.

He turned around and started to walk away from there, but suddenly, a person came up behind him.

"Sir, I bring news from the Dark Kingdom!" a man said, breathing heavily.

"About the City of the Clans? I know, I saw the broadcast." Charles replied a bit grumpily.

"No, sir. This is different. It's about Miss Emma Lewis."

Upon hearing this name, Charles Relish stopped in his tracks. He turned his darkened face and looked at him. "What happened to Emma?" He asked.

A few seconds later, he returned to the room with a dark expression.

As he was about to enter, he heard a third voice.

'Becker?' He frowned. It seemed they were discussing very important matters.
