Chapter 488: Truth Revealed (3)
Chapter 488: Truth Revealed (3)
There were many other Body Cultivation techniques, though none were considered as valuable as the other three. For Soul Cultivation, Henry transferred the Law Refinement Scripture, an ancient soul cultivation method that used comprehended Laws as nourishment for the Soul. As more Laws were integrated the Soul became increasingly stable and powerful along with increasing its resistance to external influence.
Alongside it was the Soul Reforging Method, an ancient soul cultivation method based upon the destruction and reconstruction of the Soul. Practitioners deliberately shattered portions of their Soul before painstakingly rebuilding them stronger than before. Every successful cycle removed weaknesses, impurities, and flaws hidden within the Soul, but failure often resulted in permanent damage or complete Soul collapse.
Finally, there was the Trinity Soul Scripter, a soul cultivation technique focused on balancing the Soul, Mind, and Body. While it lacked the rapid growth of other methods, its stable foundation and balanced nature made it highly valued among experienced cultivators.
As for Will Power cultivation, Henry had transferred the Infinite Mind Method, a will cultivation method focused on expanding the mind’s capacity to contain Will Power. Rather than increasing Will Power directly, it strengthened and expanded the mind itself, allowing practitioners to store and control far greater amounts of mental energy.
There was also the Mental Star Method, a will cultivation method that condensed Will Power into Mental Stars within the mind. Each star acted as both a reservoir and source of Will Power, gradually increasing the practitioner’s reserves as more stars were formed.
Alongside it was the Mind Palace Method, a will cultivation method that constructed a palace within the consciousness. Every completed section increased the storage, generation, and control of Will Power, allowing the palace to grow alongside the practitioner.
As for Energy Cultivation, the most valuable inheritance among them was undoubtedly the World Creation Scripture, one of the most complete cultivation paths Henry possessed.
Unlike ordinary cultivation methods that focused solely on accumulating energy, the World Creation Scripture taught cultivators how to transform a Domain into a true World.
The Energy Core served as the World’s heart, while the Domain acted as its foundation and laws. As the World expanded, it generated increasingly greater amounts of energy, creating a cycle of mutual growth between the cultivator and their World.
There was also, World Tree Universal Scripter, an ancient cultivation path that viewed the World as a living organism. After creating an Inner World, cultivators nurtured a World Tree at its center, using it as the anchor of the entire realm.
These two were the best one Henry possessed.
Other than these, there were countless similar cultivation paths among the information Henry had transferred, along with an enormous collection of theories, records, observations, experiments, and research regarding World Creation itself.
To be honest, the techniques were only a small portion of everything he had given Ash.
Knowledge regarding races.
Knowledge regarding Dimensions.
Knowledge regarding energy systems.
Knowledge regarding Laws.
Knowledge regarding civilizations that no longer existed.
Knowledge regarding forgotten cultivation systems.
Knowledge regarding countless mysteries gathered during his travels across Infinite Dimensions.
All of it had been transferred to Ash.
Although Ash did not ask for any of the extra knowledge, Henry still decided to give at least seventy percent of all the knowledge he had accumulated throughout his travels. After all, if he was already making an investment, then holding back now would serve little purpose, especially when the person receiving it was someone as unique as Ash.
More importantly, Henry wanted Ash to remember this favor.
He wanted Ash to be grateful to him.
More importantly, if Ash truly managed to reach the heights Henry believed he could one day reach, then the value of this investment would far exceed the value of the knowledge he was giving away today.
His gaze remained on Ash’s unconscious figure as countless thoughts passed through his mind.
To be honest, the amount of knowledge he had just handed over was enough to make countless powerful beings lose their minds with envy, yet for some reason Henry did not feel particularly reluctant about it.
Either way, the deed was already done.
There was no point thinking about whether he had given too much or too little now.
All that remained was to wait for the future.
< The deed is already done. There is no point dwelling on it now. >
Inara’s voice suddenly interrupted his train of thought, causing Henry to look away from Ash’s figure as his mind shifted in an entirely different direction.
That’s true. This is an investment. I just hope I get a hundredfold return....
< That’s just....too greedy, Host. >
A grin immediately spread across Henry’s face.
Haha, greed is my middle name. How can you forget that?
< But, you don’t even have a last name. >
The grin froze on Henry’s face.
For a brief moment, silence followed as he stared blankly ahead, while Inara patiently waited for his response.
"...."
"Who says I don’t have a last name? I, in fact, do have one."
His voice gradually became more confident the more he spoke.
"It’s Cavendish. Henry G. Cavendish."
< That’s a... good name. You never had a last name before. So, do you want me to register this name as your real name from now on? >
Henry nodded immediately without the slightest hesitation.
"Yes."
A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he repeated the name once more in his mind.
"From this day onwards, I shall be called.... Henry G. Cavendish."
A few hours passed by before Ash slowly came out of his trance-like state.
His eyes slowly blinked as awareness gradually returned to them, and for a brief moment he remained seated there in silence while the countless streams of information that had flooded his mind settled into place.
Then everything returned to him at once, including the conversation with Henry.
Almost instinctively, Ash’s consciousness sank into the Akashic Archive.
The next moment, his expression froze.
A rare look of astonishment appeared on his face as he gazed upon the vast ocean of knowledge that now rested within the Archive, because the amount of information stored there was simply unimaginable.
The Akashic Archive handled every information automatically.
With nothing more than a single thought, he could access knowledge that countless beings would spend entire lifetimes pursuing.
Ash remained silent as he continued observing the enormous amount of information that had now become part of his Archive, and after thinking about everything that had happened.
He finally realized that the feeling slowly filling his heart was....gratitude.
Because this was perhaps the first time in his life that a complete stranger had helped him to such an extent without truly asking for anything in return.
Henry had not demanded loyalty, he had not demanded servitude, he had not demanded treasures, and he had not even asked for a Contract, but just a promise, which was precisely why the entire situation felt so strange to Ash the more he thought about it.
Slowly opening his eyes, his gaze landed upon Henry, who was still sitting on the couch exactly where he had been before, casually waiting for him to wake up, and for several moments neither of them spoke as a comfortable silence settled over the room.
Then Ash slowly stood up.
Although, Henry was astonished by Ash ability to sort out all that information in just few hours, but he did not let it show on his face.
What a monster....
Before Henry could say anything, Ash slightly lowered his head and gave him a formal bow.
It was not a casual gesture born out of politeness, nor was it simple courtesy performed for appearance’s sake, but a genuine bow filled with sincere gratitude.
"Thank you."
In truth, this was perhaps the first time Ash had thanked someone with such genuine gratitude.
The gesture caught Henry completely off guard, causing the relaxed expression on his face to stiffen slightly as a faint look of embarrassment appeared on it, because out of all the reactions he had expected from Ash after waking up, this was perhaps the last one he had anticipated.
After all, he had expected excitement, he had expected curiosity, and he had even expected Ash to immediately bombard him with questions regarding the information he had received, but he had never expected Ash to stand up and sincerely thank him like this.
For a moment, Henry genuinely did not know how to react.
"Ahem..."
He awkwardly coughed before looking away.
"Don’t suddenly do things like that."
A faint helpless smile appeared on his face as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"You’re making it sound like I am some kind of selfless saint who descended from the heavens just to help you."
Henry shifted slightly on the couch before continuing.
"I already told you, this was an investment. I wasn’t helping you out of pure kindness."
Yet even as he said those words, the awkwardness on his face did not lessen in the slightest, because even Henry himself knew how ridiculous that explanation sounded.
No normal investment involved handing over seventy percent of one’s accumulated knowledge gathered from countless Dimensions, nor did any sane person casually give away information that countless powerful beings would kill for.
Ash naturally understood that as well.
"Seriously, stop looking at me like that. I just gave you some knowledge, that’s all."
However, the smile on Henry’s face gradually faded and a very serious look appeared on it as he looked directly at Ash.
"Though, what I am about to tell you will be very bad news."
Seeing Henry suddenly become this serious, Ash’s expression also became solemn as a faint sense of unease rose within his heart.
Henry remained silent for a moment before continuing.
"When I went through the information of the Universal System, I also looked into the information regarding the girl you were close with. I am sorry to say but....Elysia Moonglow is dead."
