Chapter 18 What's with that expression on your face?!

The next morning, Qi Hao went straight to the home of the Metagross leader. All night, Iron Dumbbell's message and his dull eyes had been bothering him. Iron Dumbbell was Qi Hao's first underling, and Qi Hao didn't want to see him so dejected.

"Metamorphoses, I've come to see Iron Dumbbell." Qi Hao greeted the Metagross leader.

“I think you can go later; he’s not in good shape right now,” the Metagross leader replied, then pointed to his wife.

His wife was holding Iron Dumbbell in her arms, and Iron Dumbbell was sobbing.

"Auntie, how long has he been like this?" Qi Hao asked worriedly.

"It's been a whole night. It seems that not having superpowers has really hit him hard." There was nothing she could do; as a mother, all she could do was offer comfort.

"Auntie, could you take Uncle Metagross out for a bit? I need to talk to him alone." Qi Hao looked at Iron Dumbbell, realizing it was time for his older brother to do something.

“Alright then, honey, let’s wait outside.” With that, he pulled the Metagross leader outside.

Seeing that the Megalomon leader and the others had left, Qi Hao picked up the iron dumbbell with both hands and held it facing his face.

“(?) Ring! (Ah! I can’t do it! I can’t do it! Damn it! I can’t do it! I can’t do it!!! Hoo hoo… Big brother…)” Tie Dumbbell roared, crying his heart out, and finally looked at Qi Hao!

"(Yi?) What's with that expression of yours! What's with that look in your eyes! And what's with those tears! Do tears give you superpowers?! What about all those Steel-type Pokémon?!" Qi Hao shook Iron Dumbbell violently, as if that would bring it back to its senses!

“(?) Ring! (But I can’t even fly! I can’t even move! Ahhh! I can’t do it!)” She started crying again as she spoke.

"If you can't fly, then run! If you can't run, then walk! If you can't walk, then crawl! Just don't stop! What makes you think you're useless without superpowers? And what makes you think you absolutely must have superpowers? Look at yourself! You are a Steel-type Pokémon! You should have an iron will and the tenacity of steel!" Qi Hao roared!

Immediately after, he punched the wall next to Iron Dumbbell! "Boom!" The wall collapsed with a single punch. Qi Hao was trying to evoke a response from Iron Dumbbell with his strong emotions! But clearly, Iron Dumbbell was more confused than anything else. "The wall collapsed?! Are you even human?!"

But before IronDumbbell could even react, Qi Hao dropped another bombshell! Whether IronDumbbell would succumb to despair or bounce back was up to him: "(?Yi?) Iron↗Dumb↘bell↑! Why are you the only one born early out of all the Pokémon eggs! Why don't you have any psychic powers! Why are you a shiny one!"

"Gold! (Stop talking!)" The Metagross leader, who had been eavesdropping outside, burst through the door!

"(?°?д°?) There's only one answer!" Qi Hao said without pausing!

"Jin! (Stop right there!)" The chief's wife followed closely behind!

"(╬??皿??) Iron↗Dumb↘Bell↑! Your mother paid the price with her own body to give you terrifying talent! But! Your mother doesn't have much time left! After giving birth to you! Her body was damaged beyond imagination! And you! You! Are here crying and sobbing! You should use your own hands to protect! Protect your loving mother with your own hands! The one who can truly protect your mother is not your father! Nor is it me! It is yourself!"

“Ring… (Because of…me? You’re lying! This is a lie!)” Iron Dumbbell couldn’t believe that his birth had led to his mother’s impending death.

“Gold! (Why are you telling him all this! He’s just a child!)” The Metagross leader, being a father, believed that children shouldn’t be exposed to harsh realities at such a young age.

"So you plan to wait until your aunt passes away before telling him, and then make him feel ashamed for the rest of his life?" Qi Hao argued forcefully!

“Jin… (Husband, you take Qihao out first, I’ll talk to our son…)” the giant gold-plated aunt said as she walked towards the iron dumbbell.

Seeing this, Qi Hao didn't say anything more. He believed that Iron Dumbbell would bounce back from rock bottom. He believed that as a Steel-type Pokémon, Iron Dumbbell's steel-like, resolute soul would help it stand up again when it experienced a real blow.

“Gold! (You've shown this child the prospect of losing his mother! So why did you do this? He shouldn't have to endure so much!)” The Metagross leader was angry, but still asked, puzzled.

“I’m a child too! You don’t understand, but I do! Some things have to be made clear! After Auntie passes away, he’ll think the worst about everything about Iron Dumbbell! He’ll live with guilt for the rest of his life! So why not make it clear now? Do you think it won’t happen if you don’t say anything?” Qi Hao looked at the Metagross leader in front of him. In the Metagross leader’s eyes, it was better to keep it a secret for now, but Qi Hao didn’t think so at all.

"Gold! (Damn it! How old are you anyway?! Are you kidding me?!)" The dim-witted giant gold monster leader was completely unable to argue with Qi Hao for a moment.

"Oh, right, raise your hand." Qi Hao changed his tone and said to the Metagross leader.

"Gold? (Like this?)" The Megalomon leader was puzzled. What was Qi Hao up to all of a sudden?

“Yes, raise your other hand as well,” Qi Hao continued.

“Gold? (Like this?)” the Megalomon leader asked, raising his other hand.

"Yes, now cross your arms." Qi Hao's words gradually became more and more clenched, but the Megalomon leader still did as he was told. He was actually starting to get a little curious about what Qi Hao was planning to do.

"I'll fuck you!" Qi Hao punched the Megalodon leader's hand hard!

With a single punch, the Metagross leader was sent flying.

"(╬??皿??) You want to die, fine, but you can't even guide your son properly! You're a complete failure!" Qi Hao directly and harshly criticized this idiot father!

This was the most bewildered moment of his life. He was knocked down by a human, and he was only five years old! Nobody would believe it if they told them!

“(⊙) Ring! (I! I did it! I won’t back down anymore! I’m going to stay with Mom! Even if it’s just for a few days!)” Iron Dumbbell struggled to walk out of the house with its few short claws... and then saw his dad lying on the snow, while Qi Hao was still in the punching position.

“Ring… (What did I miss?)” Iron Dumbbell stared in disbelief at everything in front of him.
