Chapter 261 | 261 | Returning to the Citadel
within the citadel, tiamat munched the burger before her while gazing onward, staring at her parents who had disappeared for quite some time. she already knew about the reason of their disappearance since her father asked for permission before heading out to fight her mother.
"so... who won?" looking at the two of them, the little dragon questioned and continued munching upon the burger in her grasped. abraham rubbed the back of his head as laplace stepped forward and pinched the soft cheeks of her daughter. "i lost against your father, my little tiamat."
it was beginning to be difficult to resist the urge to pinch her daughter's cheeks. it was merely her instinct as a mother to tease the little lizard before her.
"i barely won against your mother, tiamat. it took a couple of days and nights of nonstop fighting to even have a chance in defeating her." abraham followed his wife's behavior and also slightly pinched the cheeks of his daughter. she was the cutest in the world. the one that might rival her was none other than his wife.
"oh, i see... but please don't pinch my cheeks anymore. it's bothersome." tiamat pouted as she took the final bite of her burger. she had been spending her time within the citadel, studying through the intricacies of the world she stood upon. it was through the knowledge received from the support of her father did she understand the world for what it was.
'a primitive world with barbaric ideas running entire societies.' it was the description she had made of the world. although it wasn't completely correct, it also wasn't totally wrong.nôv(el)b\\jnn
"eh~, did you forget how you forcefully held my hands and knocked me up like bad girl?" laplace remarked with a seductive smile while placing her pale finger below abraham's chin. it was the first time she felt powerless when facing a man, so it was somewhat exciting for the dragoness.
abraham couldn't stop himself from being flustered and merely avoided the teasing gaze of his wife. he looked away, pretending to not hear the suggestive words that escaped the dragoness's supple lips. his reaction made laplace lightly chuckle, finding it cute. it was difficult to control herself from loving her husband.
although, perhaps she wouldn't have to worry about losing control now that her husband could handle her without dying.
hearing the words of her parents, tiamat pouted and snorted in annoyance. even after fighting to the death, her parents hadn't change that much. they were unusual yet intriguing people. to be honest, she was proud to be their daughter. though, she does wonder what her purpose should be.
"for the united world government to grow stronger, we must expand. fortunately, with the two of us around, even a sovereign would have second thoughts when planning to handle the country. however, i cannot say the same to your former allies."
abraham looked at laplace as he was talking about her former organization, the revolting tide. the organization of the frontier was ruled over by the three bestial deities, who were considered to be the strongest individuals within the frontier.
even if they couldn't be as strong as humanity's sovereigns, the fact that they were able to maintain power over the frontier and keep humanity off their sea regions meant that the revolting tide was capable of resistance the powers of europa.
how they managed to do so without the assistance of laplace remained a question. though with time, their secrets would soon be uncovered by the intelligence agencies under the grasped of the united world government.
"well, if they hadn't change since the moment i left the organization, then it shouldn't take long before they start taking official actions against the united world government. after all, they wouldn't be able to ignore us, especially with me around." laplace grinned at her husband.
her former organization was troublesome, but it did make her wonder whether each and every organization under her command bore the curse of betrayal. perhaps it was the price of her power. though, she was fortunate to have met her husband, and in extension, the united navy.
"do they really hate you that much, laplace? it sounds irrational for them to come after you just because you are alive." abraham questioned since the so-called deities of the revolting tide reminded him of petty tyrants.
hearing the words of her husband, laplace lightly chuckled and waved her hand in front of him. "the reason is fairly simple, my love. as long as i exist, the founder of the revolting tide, their authority over the organization would always be in question."
"they hate others questioning them, so you can already see why they would be planning to hunt me down to consolidate their authority over the organization." the dragoness wasn't that bothered by the three deities. she merely considered them as obstacles for the united world government.
it all depended to the path that abraham was planning to take.
