Chapter 75 Gaara
Chapter 75 Gaara
Jiraiya pulled Boruto behind a big tree.
A moment later, a deafening screech rang out, followed by a giant toad leaping from below the cliff into the air, dozens of meters high.
Boruto's eyes widened as he looked up at the toad in the sky, exclaiming in surprise, "Wow! It's much bigger than the toad I summoned before."
The moment Gamabunta landed, a powerful hurricane swept in, causing the surrounding trees and flowers to sway wildly.
Hiding behind a tree, Jiraiya cautiously peeked out, observing the surroundings, and whispered, "Looks like Gamabunta has already come up."
"This is getting more and more interesting. Although I feel very sorry for Naruto, let's leave Gamabunta to him."
Boruto noticed that Naruto's chakra was almost depleted from forcibly summoning such a large toad, and he rolled off Gamabunta's back.
"What are they doing?" Boruto asked, pointing to a frog and a person in the distance.
Boruto saw Naruto climb back onto Gamabunta's body, while Gamabunta frantically shook his body, trying to throw Naruto off.
Jiraiya said with a smile, "Naruto wants to gain Gamabunta's approval, but unfortunately it's not such a simple thing."
Boruto was somewhat worried, since Naruto's chakra was almost completely depleted, and he could only rely on willpower to stay in the game and avoid being left behind.
The battle between man and frog continued until dusk.
After a full day of fighting, Naruto's mind and body had reached their limits. After withstanding Gamabunta's final blow, Naruto passed out.
Even so, Naruto still clung tightly to Gamabunta's clothes and refused to let go.
Boruto rushed forward and pulled Naruto off Gamabunta's body.
Jiraiya looked at the giant toad in front of him and said, "You really didn't hold back. Judging from the situation, he won't recover without spending a few days in the hospital."
Gamabunta looked at Jiraiya in front of him and snorted coldly: "It's because this brat kept shouting that he wanted to be my master that I taught him a lesson."
"But this kid is not bad, he was able to hold on for so long. In that case, I will make an exception and take him as my little brother."
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Jiraiya, Gamabunta left and returned to Mt. Myoboku.
Just as Boruto was about to carry Naruto to the hospital, Jiraiya suddenly called out to him.
"Boruto, I don't think anyone else knows your true identity."
"No." Boruto shook his head after thinking for a moment. Only Jiraiya probably knew his true identity.
Jiraiya nodded and said, "I see. You must be careful with your words and actions, because every move you make now can change the course of the future."
......
A long time passed, and Naruto slowly woke up in the hospital in Konoha.
Boruto said, "You're finally awake."
"Where is this?" Naruto looked at the unfamiliar ceiling.
Boruto replied, "This is in a hospital in Konoha. You've been sleeping for three days and three nights."
"Three days...three nights? Three days and three nights!" Naruto suddenly shouted, "Then when do the Chunin Exams start?"
Boruto asked in confusion, "Start? What start? Wasn't it all over already?"
"What! It's already over? Why didn't you call me?" Naruto grabbed Boruto's shoulders and shook him violently. He had surrendered to Sasuke without a fight; how could he face him now?
Boruto was a little dizzy from being shaken: "Stop...stop shaking me, I was just joking. The Chunin Exams don't start until tomorrow."
However, Naruto didn't stop there; instead, he shook me even more vigorously: "Why didn't you wake me up sooner? I'm not at a stage where I can leisurely sleep here right now."
"Where is the lecherous immortal? I need to find him quickly so he can teach me cultivation!"
At this moment, Shikamaru said from the side, "Oh dear, you two are such a nuisance. You need to rest properly during training, otherwise your bodies will be exhausted before the exam even starts."
Boruto added, "Yeah, there's only one day left. There's no point in panicking like this."
Naruto remained motionless, and Boruto assumed he was upset because he hadn't woken him up for training. After asking him, Boruto learned that Naruto was hungry.
Fortunately, there was a fruit basket that Shikamaru had brought nearby. Naruto had just heard that Choji had been hospitalized because he ate too much barbecue, so he decided to eat in front of Choji.
On his way to Choji's ward, Boruto noticed a thin layer of sand on the ground.
When Naruto saw Boruto stop, he also noticed something was wrong. He looked behind him and found Gaara standing behind them.
Naruto yelled at Gaara, "What are you trying to do in a place like this?!"
Gaara said calmly, "I want to test the strength of my opponent. If he's not strong enough, I'll kill him. Maybe I can get a different opponent for tomorrow's exam."
Boruto said, "Don't worry, I'll show you my strength."
At this point, Shikamaru had already used the Shadow Imitation Technique to control Gaara, allowing Boruto to shake off the sand from his body.
Shikamaru remarked, "Your family must not have raised you properly, right? You're incredibly self-centered."
Gaara stared at them expressionlessly, a hint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes, and coldly said, "If you dare to stand in my way, I will kill you all as well."
Upon hearing this, Naruto immediately flew into a rage. He pointed at Gaara and shouted, "What the hell are you saying, you bastard! If you're not happy, let's fight!"
Seeing this, Shikamaru quickly grabbed Naruto and said urgently, "Why are you provoking this monster? You idiot!"
Naruto gritted his teeth and said defiantly, "There's a real monster inside me, and I won't lose to this guy."
"A monster?" Gaara's face remained expressionless upon hearing Naruto's words, but his tone carried a hint of self-mockery as he calmly said, "If that's the case, then I am too. You're right, I didn't receive a good education, I've been a monster since birth."
Gaara recounts what happened to him.
Upon hearing this, Boruto felt a sudden thought, realizing that Gaara's words seemed to be referring to the One-Tailed Shukaku within him.
Boruto frowned, thinking to himself: If there's a monster inside, will everyone's personality become this twisted after it goes out of control?
Thinking of this, Boruto secretly breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help but feel somewhat fortunate that he didn't have a monster inside him like they did.
