Raphael realized that he hadn't noticed and had covered his face with a woman's bra, but it was too late to change now.
He stood by the window, raised his index finger, and gestured for the stunned homeowners to be quiet.
Then he raised his hand again, signaling them to continue eating.
The family of four gradually recovered from their shock. Regardless of whether the other party was a pervert or not, he was someone they couldn't afford to mess with.
So they continued eating as instructed, though their hands were trembling slightly.
Raphael gazed out the window, knowing full well that he would have a hard time getting rid of the "living corpse," and that buying time was now his top priority.
In Backlund, a battle between demigods would quickly attract the attention of the official extraordinary beings. The fight between the two demigods, the "Indulgence Faction" and the "Temperance Faction," certainly wouldn't last long.
Taking advantage of the opportunity he had just temporarily escaped the "zombies," he returned to the vicinity of the previous battlefield.
Hopefully, after the battle with the demigods ends, Miss Sharon or Mr. Maritch can help him escape the pursuit of the "zombies".
After waiting by the window for about ten seconds, Raphael saw a figure rushing past outside; it was the "living corpse" that had caught up.
Higher-order "zombies" have the same keen sense of smell as "werewolfs," so they naturally follow the scent.
After seeing the "zombie" run past, Raphael immediately climbed out of the back window of the room, which led to a small alleyway and another street.
By the time the "zombie" discovered all this, he believed he had already run some distance.
wow~
In the dark alleyway where only the sound of Raphael running could be heard, suddenly came the sound of a wall being smashed open.
Raphael's eyes widened; the one who had crashed through the wall was none other than that "living corpse"!
Under normal circumstances, Raphael's plan would have been fine, but he had only recently advanced in his cultivation, and his spirituality was very unstable. He was quickly detected by the "living corpse" Ackerman.
The two were very close, and Raphael quickly realized that if he continued to run, he would die even faster!
He immediately picked up the gun and released the safety.
Da Da Da~
Intense gunfire filled the alley, the dark alley flashing with the light of gunfire due to the continuous bullets.
Ackerman dodged the bullets and quickly lunged at Raphael.
Although this burst of bullets did not cause much damage to the "zombie," it bought Raphael time to transform.
He only has the strength to fight when he is in "werewolf" form.
Just as the gunfire ended and the two were about to engage in combat, they suddenly heard a sharp male voice say in a surprised tone, "It's the 'Trickster'..."
Ackerman recognized the voice as that of "The Witch King" Howard!
They were already very close to the battlefield between the two demigods, but "Witch King" Howard was not using the "Full Moon" ability, so Ackerman was unaware of this.
However, Ackerman couldn't think about that now, because the "werewolf" in front of him was coming on strong!
Raphael knew perfectly well that in close combat, momentum was very important!
So he slammed into the "zombie" with a fierce look on his face. Ackerman, who was much shorter than in his werewolf form, was incredibly strong and actually knocked Raphael back a step.
Their fight was simple and unadorned; Ackerman reached out to stab Raphael's chest with nails harder than wolf claws.
Raphael opened his hand and mouth, about to tear at the "zombie's" head.
Ackerman didn't dodge; instead, he stepped forward, grabbed Raphael's neck with even greater speed, and slammed him against the wall.
With a muffled thud, Raphael was momentarily blinded by the impact. He shook his head, and just as he was about to retaliate, Ackerman swung his fist and smashed it into Raphael's shoulder.
wow~
Raphael crashed through the wall and collapsed in the room from the heavy blow.
An elderly man living alone was drinking soup in the room. Seeing the werewolf lying on the floor, the old man, whose eyesight was failing, trembled as he held the spoon and said, "Goddess above, whose dog is this...?"
Just as Raphael was about to get up, Ackerman rushed over, stretched out his arms, and intended to plunge his hard fingers into Raphael's chest again.
Raphael quickly grabbed the "zombie's" wrists and immediately felt a tremendous force strike him. He grimaced and pulled the force aside, causing the zombie's ten fingers to dig into the floor.
Raphael rolled over, jumped up from the ground, and was about to smash open the wooden door to escape when he suddenly realized that he couldn't pull the "zombie's" hands out.
The "living corpse" was also somewhat helpless, as this was the first time he had encountered such a situation.
Raphael was slightly taken aback, but immediately realized that this was a rare opportunity.
He whirled around, extended his right hand, making the wolf claw on it grow a few centimeters longer, and stabbed it toward the eyes of the "living corpse" that was bending over.
Ackerman sneered. Although he couldn't pull his hands out, he still had a lot of room to maneuver.
Ackerman dodged to the side, but another accident occurred. As he moved his upper body, the brick under his feet suddenly slipped. Instead of dodging, he fell forward and crashed into Raphael's wolf claws.
puff~
The wolf's claws pierced into the relatively soft eyeballs of the "living corpse" and penetrated deep into its brain.
"Ah~"
Then came Ackerman's scream.
Raphael was stunned again. He felt as if his battle with the "zombie" was being controlled by something.
Fortunately, this manipulation was advantageous to him, so he didn't think much of it and immediately injected "wolf poison" into the brain of the "zombie".
Unfortunately, the wolf claws were too short to allow the toxins to penetrate deep into Ackerman's brain.
Despite his severe injuries, Ackerman was still alive. He suddenly tilted his head back, pulled his head up, then forcefully broke off his fingernails and stumbled out onto the street.
Raphael did not rush to chase after him, because the "wolf poison" would take effect gradually, and Ackerman could not run very far.
He followed slowly behind, picked up the gun that had fallen to the ground, and then took out the last magazine from his pocket.
After the two men left, the old man with failing eyesight finally put the spoon in his mouth and drank the soup. Only then did he look at the hole in the wall where Raphael and Ackerman had left: "I remember there was no door there."
At that moment, Raphael outside had already released the safety of his submachine gun and pulled the trigger at the back of the "zombie's" head.
Da Da Da~
Bullets rained down. Ackerman's head had already taken a burst of bullets, and under the second burst, his skull finally gave way and was blown away by the bullets. His brain was also shattered by the bullets, and he finally collapsed to the ground convulsing.
Just then, a figure emerged from a dimly lit corner of the alley, clapping his hands and saying, "Fate's gifts are only given to those who are prepared. And you are that prepared person."
This is Klein's secret partner, "Winner" Enzo.
Raphael was taken aback, realizing that the other party was most likely a Sequence 5, and probably a member of the organization behind Audrey.
