I was about to use my Void flames to burn these motherfuckers, but before I could do that...
[Beep!] [Beep!] Exactly thirty tennis ball-size metal balls fell from the sky, covering the entire area. A beeping sound came to my ears.
UV lights! What in the hell...?
The UV light balls lit up the battle area, and with that, the undying ninjas started to disintegrate and burn. Their painful screams swept over the area. Some tried to run away, but out of nowhere, a couple of silver shards rained down on them, turning them to ashes in a blink of an eye.
[Booom!] [Booom!] A familiar face emerged from the darkness. It's that bald man on the motorcycle who was following me earlier. He rushed into the blinding UV rays and started shooting those freaks with a shotgun.
However, given the size of those UV rays balls, it lasted for a few seconds, a minute max if I have to guess. Soon, the light disappeared, and darkness fell.
At this point, only four or five of those undying bastards were alive. The bald man threw his shotgun and pulled out the sword from his back. I can tell that the sword in that man's hand is stronger than the one I got earlier.
The remaining ninjas rushed at the bald man together. But it was useless. In a blink of an eye, he slashed through them as if they were nothing but a couple of watermelons. The ninjas burst out in flames and became ashes like all the others.
The bald man swings his sword in the air once. And then he puts it back into the holder on his back.
In less than two minutes, he ended the long ongoing war. Everyone, including me, was stunned. Who is he? I have never seen or heard of him. More than that, what the fuck were those things? They weren't human that much anyone who fought them could tell. If not human, then what?
The bald man is looking at me. The agents were so shocked that everyone was just standing in their places. He smiled and took out a small glass ball. It's another UV rays ball. Which means...?!
"Brother..." Jenny's yelling came to my ears.
I looked back. The agent I talked to earlier is holding a gun to Jenny's head. They were standing outside.
My eyes went toward the car. From the outside, I can see Harley lying in the back seat, unconscious. I can clearly see Harley's heart beating, and her blood flow is normal. He has knocked out Harley inside the car. But Harley plunged her sword into the steering. She did well.
"Daywalker... One wrong move and the girl dies," threatened the agent.
Daywalker! I have heard that name before. The bane of Vampires. The only vampire, other than Dracula, who can walk under the sunlight, Blade, Vampire Hunter! The half-human and half-vampire. Then those bastards must be vampires. There is more or less no infos on vampires other than they drink human blood and can not walk under sunlight. They are said to be the king of the night.
Then... Then this bastard is also a vampire. If so...
There are four holographic live images in a dark room. It's Fury, The Ancient One, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange.
"How long do we have?" Fury inquired with a grim expression.
"He will be here in the next 70 years. Earth will be destroyed within 5 months of his arrival," replied The Ancient One. Her complexion looks pale. Only bones and skin remains on her body because she hadn't slept in 2 years. Yet, she is still alive.
2 years ago, She saw a glimpse of the future where the world ended at the hand of a dark knight who laughs. The mightiest heroes fell before his mighty power and cruel tactics. He razed the world in darkness until all the life was gone, and the planet crumbled to nothingness.
After this vision, the Ancient One spent the last 2 years searching for a solution. Alas, she failed to find a solution. Dr. Strange and the other heroes were guarding the Ancient One all this time.
"Fury, what about him?" asked Captain Marvel.
"He is just a kid. You want me to throw a kid in the jaws of death?" Fury replied. Although Fury knows Alex is immortal, he doesn't know if Alex is a real immortal or if his superpower is immortal. Without confirmation, he can not let a kid fight a battle of life and death. His pride won't allow it.
"What kid?!" inquired The Ancient One.
"Alex Wilson," replied Fury with a sigh.
"Alex Wilson!!!" The Ancient One looked stunned. She heard that name eons ago in a long distant dream. The sudden mention of that name during this conversation...
It was not what she expected because she had already seen and knew where the conversation was about to go. Of all the trillions and zillions of future visions she saw, no one had ever mentioned the name Alex Wilson before.
"A hope!" The Ancient One mumbled as she tried once more to use her time stone to peek into this ongoing timeline's future.
[Crackle!] It didn't work. The time stone prevented her from peeking into the future anymore.
"An anomaly!!! There is still hope. An uncertain timeline is what we are walking on... An uncertain future awaits us... My visions and knowledge are all but meaningless now," said The Ancient One. She finally saw a ray of hope. It's uncertainty... A future no one can peek into... A future no one can predict...
