Chapter 735: Chapter 735 - Where Is Freya?
Reviewing all the leveled-up skills? Clear.
Checking the loot from the Demons? Clear.
Securing the Sword of Dissidia? Done-though for now, it remained locked and unusable.
And with that, the major milestones had been ticked off.
But perhaps the most significant achievement was that Alora had now officially ascended as the Queen of Dissidia Kingdom.
The next big event? Something that would undoubtedly shake the entire continent.
The announcement of Queen Alora's marriage to a player.
While many had speculated about Alora's growing closeness to a certain player, few truly believed the rumors would become reality. But soon, the official announcement would leave no room for doubt.
The wedding ceremony had been intentionally delayed until after Alora's coronation. It was a calculated move-to ensure that her position as ruler was secure, and to gather more support while managing potential opposition from certain factions within the kingdom.
The pieces were falling into place.
The capsule device hissed as it opened, releasing a soft puff of air. Leon stepped out slowly, his expression flat and unreadable, as though he hadn't quite returned from the world he'd just left behind.
The morning light filtered through the apartment window, casting a pale glow over the quiet
room.
As he made his way to the kitchen, the familiar sound of movement greeted him. Lily was already there, dressed for the day and eating breakfast.
She looked up when she saw him. "Leon... you're going to campus today, right?"
"Yes," he answered simply as he slid into the chair across from her and took a sandwich from the plate on the table.
Lily tilted her head slightly. "Tomorrow's the weekend. How about we go out somewhere? Maybe a little trip or just... have some fun outside?"
Leon glanced at her, "That sounds good," he said softly.
"We could invite Freya too. It's been... three days since I last saw her."
Leon froze for a moment, the sandwich halfway to his mouth.
Three days.
It was true. Freya hadn't logged into the game for the past three days. And more concerning than that he hadn't been able to reach her, either. She hadn't answered any of his messages, both in-game and outside.
"Yeah..." Leon murmured. "I haven't been able to contact her."
"Don't worry. I'll try to reach her today."
Leon nodded slowly.
After finishing her breakfast, Lily stood, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "I'll see you later. And don't forget-we're going out tomorrow. Don't you dare cancel!"
"Got it," Leon replied with a faint smile, watching her leave.
As the door clicked shut behind her, the apartment grew silent again. Where is Freya?
A few minutes later, Leon drove his Northstar EV out of the hotel parking lot, heading toward campus. The smooth hum of the electric engine was the only sound accompanying him as the city streets blurred by.
"What? What happened to her? Which hospital?"
Lily shook her head, tugging at his sleeve. "Get in the car. I'll explain everything on the way."
The Northstar EV sped out of the school area.
"So, what's the deal with Freya? Is she being treated at the hospital?"
Lily shook her head. "No..."
Leon frowned, glancing at her. "What do you mean no?"
"She's being treated at home."
"At home? Why not at the hospital? What's wrong with her?"
"It sounds like her body just gave out. She's completely drained and needs bed rest."
Leon fell silent for a moment, processing the information. "I don't know where she lives. She
never told me."
He shot a quick glance at Lily. "Where did you get this information?"
"From Alfred," Lily replied, her voice soft. Then she hesitated. "And..."
"And what?"
"How about we visit Freya?"
Leon sighed. "I'd like that, but... we don't even know where she lives."
Lily gave a small smile. "I do. I know where she lives."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Without waiting for his response, Lily tapped the dashboard screen in front of her, entering
their destination. The map loaded quickly, showing a route leading out of the city.
Leon's brows furrowed as he saw where the destination pointed.
"She lives there?"
Lily nodded.
"Yes."
The location was in a remote area, near a hilltop outside the city. It wasn't the kind of place
most people would choose to live.
It reminded him of the kind of place someone like Goldrich would pick to stay away from the
world.
"Why would she live there?" Leon muttered to himself.
