"A special NPC?" Maylock repeated.
"Khi khi khi, yes... the boy was sought out by a Special NPC who waited for him all morning near the central plaza-a stunning woman so beautiful that every man passing by couldn't help but gawk, their mouths hanging open," Goldrich chuckled.
Maylock, seated in the room alongside Goldrich and Elincia, rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Broken certainly has a knack for attracting the attention of Special NPCs, doesn't he?" Elincia said with a soft laugh. "First Princess Alora, and now this new woman."
"And who exactly is this woman? Someone important?"
"I'm not entirely sure," Goldrich admitted, still smiling. "Why don't we ask Broken directly?" 394 Days Earlier.
"That's certainly an extraordinary taunt skill," Maylock said as he watched a video clip circulating online.
"She definitely has an impressive set of skills, doesn't she?" Elincia replied. "They went to the desert area earlier today-looks like Broken wanted to test his new Legendary-grade spear, and... well, that happened."
"She used a taunt skill that drew in so many monsters at once? That's definitely a high-grade skill. Is this the first time she's shown it?"
"We've never been on the same battlefield as her before," Elincia admitted. "But she does seem worthy of the title Special NPC."
Maylock was quiet for a moment before speaking again. "It's strange. Just a few months ago, people in Deadbay only knew her as a chef with no combat potential. And now, she's a powerful Special NPC."
"Do you know what triggered it?" Elincia asked.
"From what I've heard, it happened after she lost her mother," Maylock replied thoughtfully.
"That's certainly a unique way to gain Special NPC status," Elincia mused.
Maylock nodded slowly. "I'm convinced that this woman-her mother, I mean-held
something important tied to Yunatea's greater lore," he said with a sigh.
"You're not speculating further?"
"Not yet, not now."
"I know you're already holding onto something you're thinking about!"

Maylock, Elincia, and Goldrich sat in the same room, the air heavy with tension after witnessing the intense battle Broken and the others had fought against a Named Demon in Hell. Fortunately, they had emerged victorious, though many factors had played a crucial role in that hard-fought battle.
"Do you understand the blessing possessed by the first Ancestral of the Greed Champion?" Maylock began, breaking the silence.
"It was the power to control Mana and Elements," Goldrich replied, his tone steady.
"Yes, but it goes beyond that," Maylock said, leaning forward slightly. "They had the ability to craft their own skills."
Goldrich tilted his head, a hint of curiosity in his expression. "Are you suggesting that she's the Greed Champion?"
"It's too early to draw conclusions," Maylock said, standing and preparing to leave the room.
Goldrich's eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke again. "Are you worried about something, Maylock?"
Maylock paused for a brief moment before responding. "No. I'm not worried about anything -or anyone."
With that, he left the room.

"That's so depressing," Maylock muttered as they made their way through the dense Wildwood Forest.
"Monsters that many, and all we could do was hide in a cave, holding out and hoping for help. That's so depressing," he continued, shaking his head.
Walking beside him, Elincia replied with a slight smile. "Luckily, we had a powerful tanker on our side."
[She survived. While the others perished.]
"According to lore from numerous sources, the last Dragon Kingdom hid their heir-a dragon
egg-in a secret location," he explained.
[She lived with those lower than her. She was saved by the humble one.]
"Yes," Maylock added, "the egg was rescued by the Dragonkin in the West Continent."
[But, another disaster struck. A calamity seemed to follow her.]
"However, the Dragonkin tribe was raided by an unknown force-most likely sent by the High
Elf Queen," he said grimly.
[Everything perished. Except her.]
"Every dragonkin in that area was wiped out, but this important figure should still have
survived," he said.
[She was so isolated. She felt forgotten and forlorn.]
[The voice told her of her destiny. To fulfill a heavy duty of her people.]
[The girl had a choice to make. To accept her fate or run away.]
[She thought of the people she used to know. But they were gone, so she chose to stay.]
[The Dragon Princess lost her wings. But she was ready to take on her destiny.] "The dragon princess survived, but she lost her wings and was hidden by someone-or
something. The only one who might know the truth is the first Ancestral Wielder of the Sloth Champion: King Elandorr, who met Broken during the Trial Domain."
Maylock turned to Freya. "The mountain depicted on her bracelet-is the location where the
Dragonkin lived. That's correct, isn't it?"
"Yes," Freya replied simply.
The space fell silent for a moment before Freya spoke again. "It would be better if Broken
never completes the quest."
Maylock nodded slowly. "I understand."
"But..." Freya continued, her tone softening slightly. "I won't make the decision for the entire
scenario. I know you all care for him too. So, if you believe the time has come, make the call. But I'll stand by my conviction."
Elincia and Goldrich remained quiet, their expressions heavy with thought after hearing her
words.
"When the time comes, let me take the blame," Maylock said at last, breaking the silence. "I'm used to being cast aside for my boldness. Thanks for the meeting." With that, his avatar disappeared, leaving the room.
Elincia, still present, turned to Freya and shook her head. "It should have been us protecting
her."
Freya nodded slowly but said nothing.
The Current Time
"The person you've been searching for is here, right by your side. The Dragon Princess... Ivana
is the one you've been looking for. The current Ancestral Wielder of the Greed Champion. The one who can craft any skill needed when it's for someone she truly cares about. She's the only
hope we have right now." Broken shook his head in disbelief as Maylock's words sank in.
