Elincia finally decided to stay on the ground, standing close to Ivana, who kept a magic shield up to protect her. Their opponent, Akiko, floated above them, her bat-like wings flapping steadily as she looked down on them.
"Didn't I tell you?" Akiko sneered. "I just wanted to chat, but you two insisted on fighting me. And for what? It's all a waste of effort."
Elincia had thrown everything she had at Akiko earlier, casting magic attack after magic attack, but all of them had been neutralized by Akiko's wings. The constant futility had left her frustrated and emotionally drained.
Now, she'd retreated to the ground, recovering under Ivana's protective skills, while her mind raced with possibilities.
Elincia had a few theories about how Akiko's Gluttony Champion powers worked, but putting them to the test was proving to be nearly impossible. Akiko's agility and mobility were off the charts-she darted and flew effortlessly across the battlefield, evading every attempt to pin her down.

"Elincia, do you have another idea?" Ivana asked.
"Yes," Elincia replied. "Let's try again, but this time, you attack her directly."
"How?"
"Go at her while holding your shield."
Ivana hesitated for only a moment before nodding. "Okay."
As they prepared their next move, Elincia received an update through the guild channel about Broken and Frostedge's battle with Galactron. She sighed heavily, the weight of the enemy's coordinated efforts pressing on her.
"They're really serious about this plan," she muttered to herself.
Elincia floated into the air again, then darted far back across the battlefield.
Akiko's eyes locked onto her immediately. "Oh, trying to run?" she sneered, flapping her wings to chase after Elincia.
Meanwhile, Ivana acted. She hurled her shield with incredible speed, the weapon spinning through the air with a loud whoosh that cut through the battlefield's tension.
The shield raced past Akiko in a blur.
Suddenly, Ivana appeared right behind it, gripping the shield firmly in midair. Using her perfect momentum, she swung the shield with all her strength, aiming directly at Akiko.
Akiko raised both her swords, crossing them in defense, but the impact was devastating. The clash sent a deafening shockwave through the air, and Akiko's body was hurled backward, crashing into the sky.
[Freya]: "She won't let Elincia get away. I think we're right about her strategy."
Ivana managed a strong counterattack, swinging her shield downward with crushing force.
The blow sent Akiko crashing to the ground with a resounding impact.
A streak of lightning followed swiftly, Elincia's attack aimed directly at Akiko. But before it could hit, Akiko darted away with terrifying speed, avoiding the strike entirely.
[Freya]: "She dodged Elincia's attack!"
In the next moment, Akiko closed the gap once more, her speed overwhelming. Ivana was a second too late to intercept.
"Damn it, am I really dying here?! Hell no way!" Elincia growled, frustration and panic rising
in her voice.
Akiko's attack was lethal-a decisive skill that would be fatal if it landed. Elincia had no way to defend herself. Her shields were useless, and she couldn't possibly outspeed Akiko's
terrifying flight. A direct hit from this woman would mean instant death.
Oh, come on! I haven't even joined the real battle yet!
Elincia's thoughts raced as the swords closed in.
But just as Akiko raised her blades to strike, something whirled through the air with incredible speed. The sound was deafening, like a storm tearing through the battlefield.
Before Akiko could react, the object slammed into her with brutal force, sending her hurtling
backward.
She hit the ground hard, her wings folding as her body went completely still.
A moment later, her form began to shatter into pixels, dissipating into the air as she was
defeated-instantaneously and without warning.
The object that had struck her became clear as it continued spinning wildly: a massive hammer glowing faintly with energy. It spiraled through the air before twisting and spinning
away.
"Who was that?!" Freya shouted from inside the carriage.
"I'm pretty sure he came for Ivana," Broken said.
