in the main control room of the golden age company, the atmosphere was buzzing with activity. monitors displayed multiple in-game feeds, and staff moved briskly.

marco, the ceo, sat with his legs crossed, observing with a calm demeanor.

"tell me," he said. "are we ready to take action yet?"

his assistant, standing close by, responded promptly. "according to the ai's predictions, the monumental event is likely to occur within the next one or two weeks."

marco nodded. "alright, then i want you to roll out an experience point boost event near the capital. make it happen across multiple zones simultaneously, so it doesn't raise too much suspicion."

"understood, sir."

marco rose from his seat, his expression contemplative.

"the battle of dissidia..." he murmured softly.

"this is the major event predicted by the ai. a monumental moment that will reshape the south continent forever."

he turned his gaze back to the screens.

"i want to see just how much influence the players can exert to change the ultimate outcome of such a critical event."

the internet quickly lit up with reactions as news spread about the experience boost near several capitals across different continents.

[cj__savage]: "i'm sure this has something to do with the potential war brewing in dissidia."

[alex_dorrough]: "i think it's still too early to say that."

[daoistt3lqby]: "i believe it. the shadow wolves, horder of hell, and even vensalor are already near the capital of the dissidia kingdom."

[adwinhuey]: "horder of hell? seriously? is this going to be another big war like the one we had in deadbay?"

[atayotoya]: "damn, that was a nightmare. i don't want to get dragged into a war like that again. i died and lost so much that time."

[rawrimllama]: "if you're scared of war, why are you even playing this game, idiot?"

as broken toiled in his workshop, he carefully shaped a commissioned piece for one of his guild members. the sound of his hammering was suddenly interrupted by a frantic knock on the door.

yara burst into the room.

"my lord, forgive the intrusion. but, our town is about to come under attack," she said. what?

broken moved closer to the elven woman.

"welcome to our city," he greeted her.

iveth's lips twisted into a sly smirk. "well, well. it seems you've managed to slip out of our grasp and make your way here after all."

"we may have neglected to say a proper goodbye when we left your village, but that doesn't make us fugitives or prisoners running from you."

iveth chuckled softly. "oh, broken. do you really think you can leave our village so easily, without facing the consequences?"

broken squared his shoulders. "then i suppose we have some misunderstandings to clear

up."

"you took lady aerin away," iveth said. "that is your greatest crime."

"crime?" broken replied. "i don't see it that way. aerin wanted to return to her home. how is

that wrong?"

iveth's eyes narrowed. "her home is in our village," she declared. "she's a forest elf, one of

us.

s."

broken tilted his head slightly. "perhaps you should reconsider how you phrase things, because it seems aerin doesn't share your perspective."

iveth's expression darkened "once i've torn this town to the ground, i think you'll finally understand what i mean."

broken gave a faint smile at the threat.

while the slumdon town currently only had a handful of members from the vensalor guild

present, he still had enough forces to mount a solid defense. fang, pawpaw, blackthorn, and

ivana were all here, ready to act if needed.

however, if this situation were to escalate into something much larger, it was clear the

outcome might not be favorable.

these forest elves seemed to hold humans in such contempt, arriving with only three individuals yet carrying arrogance as vast as the skies.

a threat? so be it.
