Chapter 135: The Astral Leap Locomotive
Chapter 135: The Astral Leap Locomotive
.......
"There's nothing but fog... and a... blood-red moon...?"
Azmodeus turned his head in every direction, but no matter where he looked, there was no plot of land that didn't have a fog-like mist covering it.
And above this blackened, misty surface, there was a moon as dark as the darkest of blood, looming over the pitch-black skies like a menacing jewel meant to light up the world.
If he were being honest, the aura pervading the air around this place was eerie, leaving behind a creepy ambiance.
However, he feared no monsters in the dark, so he took his first step since being transported to this ominous space, and that was when he noticed something unusual...
"My speed... I can't even achieve a running pace of travel..."
He felt the power coursing through his veins, and all of it was in order with no direct restrictions on his strength, so what exactly prevented him from surpassing 5 km/hr was something that eluded him.
At least, that was the case until he had a sudden flash of realization and muttered, "The Laws... The Laws that make up the materials of the train station and even the very space itself are so high in level that my body is nowhere near strong enough to affect much of anything..."
After understanding this fact, he proceeded to take slow steps in the direction of a flight of six cobblestone steps—steps that led up to where a dimly lit corridor of the train was left open.
*Step Step*
Azmodeus eventually found himself in front of the wide, black glass doors of the train as he moved his legs a couple more times before making it inside the train's interior.
And it was at the moment he put one foot inside the train that its barely visible, foggy interior had an entirely different world open up for the confused man.
A wave of light surged from beneath his feet, streaking toward the front of the train. In an instant, too quick for even his extraordinary perception to register, the train was illuminated in a dazzling display of colors!
The fog dispersed, lanterns were lit up in quick succession, and various figures materialized from thin air.
All of these figures sat opon red cushion chairs while sipping mysterious green tea substances.
And then this was where the really unusual part came in, as these figures were wearing top hats and black or gray striped suits, with their appearances being analogous to those of older English men.
However, it wasn't even the various anachronisms that left Azmodeus in a state of bewilderment, as it was instead the fact that floating skulls with faint green glows inside their heads were floating around, serving all the English people whatever they wanted.
"A few billion years, and yet someone has already achieved something that should've been impossible..."
Everyone muttered among themselves with expressions of disbelief, as what they were hearing was something incomprehensible!
And following the chater, all of them backed away from the one with bad omens surrounding him, as they all headed back to their seats and resumed what they were doing before the newcomer entered the Astral Leap Locomotive.
"..."
Azmodeus watched everyone leave him in an instant, as nobody would even so much as look in his direction anymore.
At least, everybody besides one...
"Excuse me, Mister."
A young, soft girl's voice sounded out as a kid with long silky black hair and white misty eyes around knee-high stared up at the otherworldly handsome man in front of her.
Azmodeus turned his neutral expression down toward the innocent-looking girl with a hint of mystique to her appearance as he asked, "What is it that you want...?"
He didn't know why the other English people fled the scene as soon as he mentioned the world he originated from, but having this lone girl stay behind was more than a little unusual.
However, the girl in question thought nothing of it as she responded, "I-I am sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could allow me to tag along with you when the Astral Leap begins...?"
"Why would I do that? And why is a kid like yourself taking the Astral Leap?? Furthermore, what do you mean by taking the Astral Leap? Wasn't breaking the World Barrier part of the Astral Leap...?"
Azmodeus was perplexed by a number of things right now; however, the fact that a young girl no older than 9 or 10 met the requirements for the Astral Leap was by far the most far-fetched notion!
To reach the Lunar Ascendancy Realm in combat power by the age of 10 in a Mortal World... That shouldn't be possible...
And for this particular situation, he was correct, as this girl did in fact not reach the Lunar Ascendancy Realm by the age of 10 in a Low-Mortal World.
She had instead achieved the state in a higher level world!
However, that was a topic for another time...
