Chapter 337 Hell War Begins
"Welcome, my guests."
Velasco arrived at the gates of his palace with a smile. Looking at the creature's bizarre appearance, Peter couldn't help but complain, "I rarely say this, but I haven't seen anything this disgusting since I came out of the zombie universe."
Velasco seemed not to hear Peter's complaints. Instead, he looked at the two versions of Iliana in the team, one older and one younger, smiled, and then showed off the X-Men behind him who were frozen in time. Because their time was frozen by the Immortal Kang, even Velasco could not corrupt them.
"Welcome, Iliana. You have no idea how long I've waited for your revenge. I'm sorry, older one, your family is beyond saving. After all, decades have passed; they've long since become demons or demon food."
Velasco paused for a moment, thinking about whether he had forgotten any lines. After confirming that he hadn't forgotten anything, he smiled with satisfaction and began to deliver his next lines.
"But you can also prevent the misfortune that befalls you from happening to another version of yourself, right? I believe you have come for this reason, and naturally, I have prepared a ceremony for you."
As Velasco finished speaking, the skeletons of the Magik were unearthed from the dust on either side of the stairs leading to the entrance to the Hell's Border Palace. From fresh corpses that had just died and whose faces were not yet pale, to skeletons that were almost collapsing, almost every Iliana retained their long, flowing golden hair as a mark.
They are arranged in two rows, from the entrance of the palace to the end of the steps.
"I... I just wanted to tell you what your final fate will be. Or perhaps, I could generously take on a student or servant, if you're willing." Velasco smiled as a glass of red wine appeared in his hand, then he shook his head helplessly.
"As for now."
"Come to you, your X-Men."
As an endless stream of demonized X-Men surged forth from all directions, the Ghostbusters immediately went on high alert, preparing to fight these monsters. The deranged Doctor Strange first unleashed the Vatum Wind, blasting away a large number of demonized X-Men, then shouted "Crimson Barrier of Cyttorak," forming a huge crimson energy shield that blocked the energy barrage from the demonized Cyclops.
Then, the Blade Warrior, now fully vampire-like, charged out, transforming into a swarm of bats. He shrunk behind a demon laser-eyed figure, ripped off his glasses, cut off his eyelids, and pulled his head to face the other demon laser-eyed figures around him. His uncontrollable, immense power instantly wiped out all the enemies.
The hellish version of Phantom Cat broke through the barrier and began to attack those who might be her friends without mercy. She perfectly demonstrated just how terrifying a superpowered person with the ability to become invisible could be. After this Phantom Cat, who actually had some cat-like features, ran around, her hands were covered in blood.
All that remained were the heartless X-Men lying on the ground.
The demon angels were rushing towards them, but Storm wouldn't let them succeed so easily. With just a whirlwind, she broke all their wings.
"No matter how much of anything you have, it will become as insignificant as a stray dog."
Velasco rolled his eyes in exasperation as he watched someone rush towards him. It was Spider-Man from Earth 616, and in front of him stood the demonic Wolverines.
"Hey Logan, Logans, I'm curious about something: has Hell enhanced or weakened your healing abilities? Because you all look terrible."
The one that landed couldn't really be considered Spider-Man, because that thing was over 2.5 meters tall and covered in strong muscles. Venom sensed the enhancement this place provided to the symbiotes, so he began to attack them rapidly. The symbiotes on his body became even more active, and without much effort, he could unleash whips dozens of meters long from his symbiotes, easily piercing the skin of any enemy except Colossus.
The price was that Venom's body surface churned like boiling water; the symbiote, whether in a state of excitement or out of control, seemed to be in a state of blissful disarray, but Venom at least felt very happy. Countless Logans, brandishing their steel claws, were impaled by Venom before they could even charge, and were tossed aside. Although the adamantium skeleton was very strong, piercing the gaps between the ribs and crushing the heart was still quite easy.
"Wow! Yay!"
As Venom furiously pounded at the countless Wolverines around him, a brilliant idea popped into his head: if he took all the Wolverine corpses from here, could he extract a huge amount of adamantium and make an adamantium armor?
After all, there are so many Wolverines, isn't it a pity?
Velasco watched all this with curiosity. After ten thousand years in the Land of Hell, this place was incredibly boring. But then, he raised an eyebrow and, without turning his head, asked, "Aren't you all being a little too arrogant, using the Land of Hell as a medium to ambush me?"
Appearing behind Velasco were the elderly Magik, a younger version of Iliana, and the demon Wolverine, who had been transported through a portal. The three faced Velasco, who smiled and shook his head: "So, what are you planning to do? Stab me with your swords?"
Why not?
The demon Wolverine said viciously. The corruption of Hell had not only failed to make him lose his self-healing ability, but had actually strengthened his self-healing factor. With the defensive spell that Strange had cast on him, he suddenly stood at the forefront. After giving the old Magik a look, he charged toward Velasco.
Commendable courage, but...
Velasco didn't even raise his hand.
The runes on Demon Wolverine's body, which rushed towards Velasco, shattered instantly. His healing factor then became useless and dissipated completely. In the few seconds that Demon Wolverine should have bought, Demon Wolverine teleported behind Velasco and used the Falting Fire prepared by Strange to pierce Velasco's young and old Magiks, while Strange grabbed them by the neck and lifted them up.
"Do you really think you have a chance to defeat me? I am the master of the borders of hell. The corruption you suffer every day is a part of me, just like this."
In Iliana's eyes, she saw her aged self, who almost instantly turned into a skeleton.
"The longer you prepare, the easier it is for me to kill you, that's all. Oh... are you angry?"
Velasco was surprised, even delighted, as he watched Iliana in his hand undergo a mutation on her own initiative. It wasn't a mutation caused by the corruption of the Hell's Frontier, but rather more like an excessive mobilization of the energy belonging to the Hell's Frontier, causing the half of her soul filled with dark magic to deform.
Red horns grew from the sides of her forehead, her body was covered with a black substance that looked like dried blood scabs, her hands became claws, and crimson wings and a tail grew from her back.
"You've become one of us, Iliana!"
Finally, after tens of thousands of years of gameplay, Velasco saw a different Magik: Iliana Rasputin, who, out of anger, voluntarily accepted the power of the frontier and became a demon.
I'm stuck on this chapter; I'll make it up tomorrow.
