Chapter 79 Saving Private Tony [Ninth Update, Please Subscribe and Vote]
Faced with the swarm of bodyguards, Chu Yang lifted up Happy, who was still in a daze.
"Fuck! You don't mean to—" Happy struggled desperately, shouting in terror, "No! Put me down!"
Chu Yang pretended not to hear, and when the bodyguards on the other side gathered together, he threw Happy out without hesitation.
Just like bowling.
The group of bodyguards opposite were all knocked over by Happy.
"Being strong is great!" Chu Yang couldn't help but exclaim.
With many people cushioning his fall, Happy wasn't seriously injured. He struggled to his feet from the crowd and then unleashed a torrent of abuse at Chu Yang.
Chu Yang kindly reminded him, "Be careful, someone's coming from behind!"
"you-."
Just as Happy was about to curse, he suddenly heard a whooshing sound in his ear. His reaction, honed by decades of boxing experience, made him instinctively bend over.
A stun gun suddenly slashed across Happy's head.
"Not again?" Happy couldn't help but complain.
There are so many bodyguards here; you take down one group, and another one comes.
Happy turned and delivered a powerful punch to the enemy's abdomen!
One punch, K.0!
"Well played."
"Stop looking and run!"
"Weren't you still trying to find out about Tony Stark?"
"They clearly don't want me to go in. Do you think they don't recognize me?"
Some people don't want Tony Stark to come back, so naturally they don't want Happy to go around asking about his whereabouts.
Chu Yang realized this.
"Today is my first day at work. If I leave now, my performance will look terrible."
Chu Yang strode towards the center of the bustling crowd.
"Today doesn't count! Tomorrow is when we officially start work!"
Happy reached out to grab Chu Yang's clothes, but Chu Yang skillfully dodged him.
"Just wait at the door."
As they spoke, Chu Yang was already surrounded by bodyguards in black.
Before long, Happy, who was standing outside, could no longer be seen at all.
"Fuck, they have guns! How can your fists possibly beat them?!"
Happy cursed and reached for his waist. He actually carried a gun, but he hadn't used it earlier for fear of escalating the conflict. However, in the current situation, he had no choice but to use it.
"Aaaaaah!!!"
Several completely different screams rang out in succession, startling Happy. He craned his neck to look and saw people flying out of the center of the dance floor.
A moment later, the black-clad bodyguard in the bar passed out.
The remaining small portion also collapsed in an instant.
Chu Yang turned his head and smiled, giving Happy an OK sign.
"Your fists are really hard—"
Happy suddenly felt a bit thirsty.
This level of skill seems to have reached a point where he doesn't need to train them anymore; they could go straight to the stage to receive an award.
boom!
A flash of light appeared on the second floor of the bar, and Chu Yang's head tilted to the side as a bullet grazed his temple and entered the floor.
"Aaaaaah!!!"
Everyone in the bar went crazy and started rushing out in a panic. Fighting and brawling are two different things.
Happy pulled out a pistol from his waist, ready to retaliate, but Chu Yang was faster. He grabbed a nearby bottle, turned around and threw it, accurately blowing the gunman on the second floor's head off.
As people fled the bar, more gunmen began to appear on the second floor.
Gunfire erupted in quick succession, and the first floor was soon covered by intense firepower. Bottles at the bar were smashed to pieces, and expensive drinks were spilled all over the floor.
Chu Yang used his Observation Haki to predict the trajectory of each bullet in advance.
As he dodged, he picked up the playing cards scattered on the table.
Then, Armament Haki is wrapped around the playing cards, turning them into sharp blades.
Chu Yang flicked the cards out with his fingers, each card accurately slicing through the gunmen's wrists, severing their tendons and flesh together!
The card traced a perfect arc in the air before finally returning to Chu Yang's hand.
There were no more gunshots in the bar, only the sounds of wailing.
"What was that just now? Chinese Kung Fu?"
A shocked Happy walked in from outside, staring at the remnants of his army on the ground, mimicking discarding cards, pouting as he said, "Chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp..."
"Stop chirping, Li Xunhuan's flying dagger never misses, understand?"
Chu Yang made a sarcastic remark in his hometown dialect, which Happy, who couldn't understand, looked at him with a blank expression.
"I thought there would be many people coming from outside, but there are only two." A fat man wearing a coat and smoking a cigar appeared on the second floor, surrounded by bodyguards. He looked around and then showed a surprised expression.
"Happy Hogan? We've known each other for a while now, there's no need for him to come all this way to give me such a huge gift, is there?"
The fat man had a long, narrow scar under his right eye, and when he squinted, his face looked unusually ferocious.
The fat man took a deep breath, and a third of the cigar in his hand disappeared instantly. He exhaled, and smoke billowed out of his mouth like a steam train.
Happy asked, "Gustav, can we talk privately?"
Gustav was silent for a moment, looked down at Chu Yang standing next to Happy, then nodded, signaling his bodyguard to leave temporarily.
The empty bar now only has three people left.
"Gustav, you've made a fortune in the black market arms over the years thanks to Stark Industries."
"Happy, I know what you mean, but I really can't help you with this," Gustav said, shaking his head.
"If Tony doesn't come back, do you think your business can continue?" Happy said.
"throat-"
Gustav sighed deeply, as if he had some unspeakable secret.
Chu Yang knew he must have been warned by Obadiah Stanislav. As participants in the underground black market, it was impossible for Gustav and Obadiah not to have some connection.
Happy stared at Gustav. "You know about Tony, don't you?"
Gustav finished the rest of his cigar in one go, then slammed the butt on the ground. "Happy, Tony Stark has been kidnapped by local terrorists. He's not coming back. You're wasting your time, understand?"
Happy coldly asked, "Where is he?"
"Oh my God!"
Gustav couldn't argue with him, so he could only curse at the air and then reveal all the information he knew.
He had a deal with the terrorists who kidnapped Tony Stark and knew their location, but he wasn't sure if they had moved.
"Don't tell anyone I told you!"
"Know!"
Happy left with Chu Yang, completely satisfied.
Then, Gustav's bodyguards reappeared on the second floor, and someone standing behind him whispered, "Boss, why did you have to tell them we could just kill them—"
"Kill my ass!" Gustav glared at him and roared, "After following me for so many years, you still have no sense of propriety! Do you think that young man standing next to Happy is an ordinary person?"
"If we hadn't talked, he could have killed us all by himself. He might be a mutant!"
Gustav only said half of what he meant, his expression remaining enigmatic.
After learning Tony Stark's exact location, Happy was very excited and immediately called Pepper Potts.
"Miss Potts, I've found out about Tony. Could you please arrange a plane for me?"
He's going to Afghanistan tonight to rescue Tony!
Pepper Potts on the other end of the phone was overjoyed, but after calming down, she said, "No, Happy, we have to notify the military and have them rescue Tony!"
"I don't trust those guys. I suspect someone is deliberately withholding information and doesn't want Tony to come back. I'm going to rescue him myself. Trust me, I met a formidable guy today, and I'm confident."
"A formidable guy? Who is he?! Happy, you can't entrust your life to someone you've only known on the street for less than 24 hours!"
Chu Yang heard Xiao La Jiao's complaints over the phone and nodded to himself. What she said made a lot of sense, but it was obvious that Happy wouldn't listen.
"Listen, Pepper, you can contact the military or anyone else, but I'm going to rescue Tony myself, damn it! If I had been with him before, he would never have been kidnapped by some terrorists!"
Chili sensed Happy's guilt; everything he had said earlier was just an excuse, and only this one sentence was true.
He deeply regretted not fulfilling his responsibilities as a bodyguard!
"Alright then, I'll arrange a plane for you, but you have to promise me you won't do anything reckless, or you'll get Tony in trouble!"
"I promise you, Pepper, I will bring Tony back."
Chu Yang's head was throbbing from listening, especially when Happy was making crazy promises. He really wanted to sew Happy's mouth shut.
After hanging up the phone, Happy hailed a taxi on the roadside. Once inside, he noticed Chu Yang was still standing outside and hurriedly called out, "Get in! We don't have time to waste!"
Chu Yang looked at him with a troubled expression, "It's time to get off work now. I know America is a capitalist country, but we should still respect labor laws—"
After saying that, Chu Yang turned and left. Happy stared wide-eyed, not expecting that this guy was really planning to leave work!
"Fuck!" Happy jumped out of the car and grabbed Chu Yang. "You don't mean to send me to Afghanistan alone, do you?"
Chu Yang rolled his eyes: "You were planning to be alone anyway."
"That was my thought before I met you, but now I have to bring you with me! If it weren't for you today, I probably would have been riddled with bullets!"
"Taking me to Afghanistan will get you riddled with bullets!"
"I believe you can protect me and Tony!"
"Bullshit! How can you lump pistols and RPGs together? One shot and all three of us would be blown to smithereens!"
"Tell me, what do you want in return for agreeing to go to Afghanistan with me?"
"You need to pay more!"
Happy:
"..—."
Chu Yang said, "I'm just a bodyguard. Don't you have any conscience going to Afghanistan to face terrorists for that little bit of pay?"
When Chu Yang said that, Happy's conscience really started to ache. He and Tony were good friends and would do anything to rescue each other, but Chu Yang had no reason to do so.
"How about doubling your salary?"
"Ah!"
"three times!"
"Cut it five times!"
"Spit it out!"
"ten times!"
Happy's eyes turned red; if Chu Yang didn't agree, he might bite someone.
"make a deal!"
Chu Yang revealed a hearty smile.
"Leave now?"
"I'm off work now, let's talk about it tomorrow."
The enraged Happy let out a roar that shocked the entire street!
"Fuck!"
1 II
Afghanistan.
This area has a subtropical arid climate, characterized by dryness and little rainfall year-round, with harsh winters and scorching summers.
And this season is the hottest time of year.
Even while sitting inside the plane, Chu Yang could feel the temperature rising rapidly.
Happy, this big fat guy, was completely soaked in sweat.
Looking around, all that could be seen was desert and rugged mountains, making it difficult for the plane to find a safe place to land.
If we continue flying forward, we risk alerting the terrorists who kidnapped Tony Stark, and they'll just bombard us.
"Get ready, we're going to parachute out."
"watt?"
"Damn it, if it flies any further, it'll fly into someone's house!"
Happy hurriedly took out the map and carefully compared it. After understanding it, he pressed the intercom button on his seat to contact the pilot in the cockpit, preparing to do as Chu Yang said.
But for some reason, the pilot did not respond to Happy and continued flying straight ahead.
Happy frantically pressed the button several more times. "Damn it, it broke down at this crucial moment!"
"Bad my ass, that's it!" Chu Yang whistled. "They're clearly sending us into a trap. We've been outsmarted, you idiots."
"A scheme?" Happy stared, his eyes revealing utter naiveté. Chu Yang reminded him, "The problem isn't with the military, it's within Stark Industries itself. There are people at the top who want Tony Stark dead in Afghanistan!"
"Last night, that lady named Pepper not only notified the military, but also a high-ranking member of the group. The news leaked out, and we naturally suffered as a result. They plan to send us to reunite with Tony Stark without arousing suspicion."
Happy slammed his fist heavily on the seat. Even if he was stupid, he could understand the implication in Chu Yang's words. The other party was almost naming him.
"What do we do now? The driver's cab is separated by bulletproof material, so we can't drive it from the outside."
Happy paced anxiously back and forth in the cabin.
Chu Yang walked to the driver's side door and punched it a few times, completely deforming the door made of special materials.
Happy froze on the spot, then slowly raised his thumb.
The pilot behind the door was terrified and frantically tried to draw his gun, but Chu Yang punched him in the temple, causing his helmet and eyeballs to explode.
The passenger was so scared he wet himself. He raised his hands, trembling, to indicate that he had no intention of resisting.
Seeing this, Chu Yang immediately yelled, "Hold the joystick tight! Fuck!"
The co-pilot quickly grabbed the control lever.
"Where's the parachute?"
"Right under our seats."
"Only two?"
"Yes, only two."
"Let me guess, you tampered with this plane, intending to stage a crash, right?"
"yes-"
Chu Yang took out the two remaining parachute backpacks and gave the co-pilot a look that said, "Good luck."
The pilot, on the verge of tears, gripped the control stick tightly.
From this moment on, the plane has become an integral part of his life.
Chu Yang tossed the backpack to Happy. After Happy got dressed, Chu Yang opened the plane's cabin door, kicked Happy out of the plane, and then jumped out himself.
"Aaaaaaah!!!"
"Saving Private Tony, let's begin!"
Caves appear at the junction of deserts, Gobi, and mountains, with the depths of the caves interconnected, much like the saying "a cunning rabbit has three burrows".
This type of terrain is often favored by terrorists, serving as a natural military base and shielding them from reconnaissance by fighter jets.
Tony Stark, America's most famous playboy, is now staying in a cave like this.
Without his well-tailored suit, without beautiful women and fine wine, and only a greasy vest, this billionaire looked quite wolfish.
Tony's chest now had a hole filled with a rudimentary electromagnetic device.
Ever since being hit by his own missile, Tony has had a lot of shrapnel fragments in his body.
The electromagnetic device attracts these fragments, preventing them from flowing into the heart through the bloodstream.
The person who created the electromagnetic device and helped Tony complete the surgery was named Ethan, and he was a key factor in Tony Stark becoming Iron Man.
The terrorists forced Tony to make weapons for them.
In order to rebel and escape, Tony asked Ethan to help him extract palladium from the many weapons and create a small reactor to replace the simple electromagnetic device on his chest. With their efforts, the reactor was successfully made and began to function normally in place of the electromagnetic device on Tony's chest.
Tony took out a stack of blueprints from the corner and slowly unfolded them under Ethan's curious gaze.
"Great art." Ethan exclaimed, looking at the steel armor on the blueprints, but then asked with a hint of doubt, "But can this thing move?"
"Excuse me, are you doubting my abilities?" Tony raised his head and said arrogantly, "Mr. Ethan, standing before you is the president of Stark Industries, the world's most knowledgeable weapons manufacturer!"
Ethan smiled but didn't reply, instead stroking the blueprint with his fingers.
A week later, on the day Chu Yang and his group arrived in the vicinity by plane, the terrorists discovered that Tony and Ethan were making Iron Man armor. In order to protect Tony and complete the final stage, Ethan took his weapon and went out alone to fight the enemy.
"Hey! Ethan! Get back here!"
No matter how Tony called out, he heard no more response from Ethan. "Damn it!"
Meanwhile, Chu Yang used his Observation Haki to locate the terrorists' base.
And he directed Happy to land nearby.
"We're so lucky."
"No, you should thank those two pilots for bringing us here directly."
Yes, I hope they are all well!
As soon as Happy finished speaking, the plane that had been carrying them crashed on the hill next to the base, with a violent explosion that was not much different from a missile landing.
The terrorists from the base immediately swarmed out, filling the open space outside to capacity.
Looking at so many enemies in front of him, Happy suddenly felt his mouth go dry. He coughed and said, "There are so many people. Why don't we wait for the military? I think Pepper is right. Professional things should be left to professionals."
Chu Yang gave him a disdainful look and said, "Now is a good time to launch an attack. If they retreat back into the cave later, it will be even more difficult for us to break in."
"Why do we have to force our way in?" Happy gestured. "Have you ever seen a spy movie? We could actually sneak in." Chu Yang retorted without hesitation, "No, your figure is too conspicuous. Spy agents aren't that fat."
Happy: "—"
Brother, at such a serious moment, do you still have to hurt me like this?
Happy was in a bad mood; he had been prepared to take a bullet for Chu Yang.
"Da da da da da!!!"
Suddenly, intense gunfire erupted from inside the cave.
Happy's expression changed and he rushed out, so fast that Chu Yang couldn't stop him.
This demonstrates his loyalty to Tony Stark.
If we just let Happy rush out like that, he'll definitely get riddled with bullets.
So Chu Yang secretly released Wood Release behind him, and a vine broke through the ground, tripping Happy to the ground.
Its round body rolled and tumbled all the way to the cover.
Happy looked up and found that the area was filled with weapons and ammunition.
At this time, the terrorists outside had not yet discovered them.
Chu Yang made a gesture towards Happy as if he were throwing something.
Happy understood and turned to pick up a grenade from the pile of ammunition.
He threw it towards a crowded area.
Rumble!
The grenade exploded in the dense crowd!
The terrorists who were still focused on the plane crash were instantly killed or wounded in large numbers. Happy didn't care about anything else and just kept throwing bombs.
The explosion sent everyone around scrambling for their lives, and those who were slow to run were instantly split open.
"So, don't go watching the excitement if you have nothing to do!"
Chu Yang pulled out a few playing cards from his waist, wrapped them in Armament Haki, and threw them, accurately hitting some enemies who were preparing to fire in Happy's direction.
The playing cards, like sharp blades, sliced their heads cleanly apart, and the way half of their brains slowly slid off, wobbling like fresh tofu, was truly remarkable.
Fortunately, Happy was too busy throwing bombs to see this horrifying scene, otherwise he would definitely have thrown up.
Because the playing cards flew without making a sound, and Chu Yang moved at supersonic speed, the terrorists couldn't detect the enemy's location at all, and could only watch helplessly as their comrades fell down around them.
Hearing the commotion outside, the terrorist leader assumed it was an army and immediately called back the men who had just entered the cave to provide support. Now only a few terrorists remained in the cave, and Ethan was temporarily locked in a stalemate with them.
"People have come from outside? Are they the military? Or terrorists from another force?"
Hearing the explosion outside, Ethan was completely bewildered.
Happy, who was lying under the cover, was too frightened by the intense gunfire to look up.
Much later, as the gunfire grew weaker, he finally remembered Chu Yang.
"Why haven't we heard his voice for so long? Could he have been beaten to death?"
Happy gritted his teeth.
Risking being grabbed and killed, leave the cover.
"I'm not afraid! I'm not afraid!"
Happy kept hypnotizing himself, then frantically fired his guns at his surroundings.
One of the bullets grazed Chu Yang's hair as it flew away.
"I'm fucking stupid."
Chu Yang was so angry that he almost threw the playing cards in his hand away.
After Happy has run a certain distance...
Suddenly, they realized that there were no more gunshots around them; the only gunshots were coming from their own side!
"Where are the terrorists?"
Happy turned around, drew his sword, and looked around, feeling lost.
"At your feet."
Upon hearing Chu Yang's reminder, Happy subconsciously glanced down, his face quickly turning from white to green.
"vomit!"
While Happy was cleaning his stomach, Chu Yang went inside the cave.
It was very quiet inside; you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Chu Yang stopped in his tracks.
Something seemed to be wriggling in the darkness.
Kata~
The sound of the trigger being pulled followed.
Chu Yang moved even faster.
The cards in my hand pierced the darkness, shooting into the depths.
"what!"
The terrorist leader, hidden in the darkness, held a bare, severed hand and hissed softly.
Pain and terror made his face look abnormal.
He couldn't understand how Chu Yang had discovered him.
Suppressing the pain from his severed hand, the leader raised his RPG high and fired a shot at Chu Yang's position.
Unfortunately, Chu Yang had anticipated his actions and disappeared the moment he fired the cannon.
"Fuck!"
The leader looked like he'd seen a ghost.
Just as he was about to fire again, the door behind him suddenly exploded open.
A steel suit of armor, gleaming with a chilling light, suddenly appeared before his eyes.
The leader was stunned.
boom!
The armored vehicle raised its mechanical arm, and a cannon shot blasted him away.
"Ethan?!"
Piloting his Iron Man suit, Tony looked around and finally spotted Ethan lying on the ground, with another person standing next to him. Tony immediately launched an attack.
To avoid accidentally injuring Ethan with the cannon, he chose to use his musket to force back the man standing next to Ethan.
A high-temperature fire snake shot straight out from the nozzle.
When Chu Yang saw Iron Man appear, he thought the situation was settled, so he came to take care of the injured Ethan.
But to his surprise, Tony actually regarded him as an enemy!
The instant the high-temperature blast from the gun—
Chu Yang threw out a card, severing the extended alloy gun barrel!
Tony: "???"
I must have seen it wrong!
Tony felt like he was hallucinating, seeing a playing card cutting through the Iron Man armor's weapons.
He even saw the face of that playing card!
Ace of Spades!
"Hey boss, I'm an employee of Stark Industries, we're on the same side!"
"You're quite the joker, and your English is pretty good too."
"I'm serious, today is my first official day at work."
"Shut up, you damned terrorist!"
Completely disbelieving Chu Yang, Tony prepared to launch an attack. His massive steel armor faced Chu Yang, and the machine guns and cannons on his shoulders spun simultaneously.
"Pshaw, rich people are all impatient."
Under Chu Yang's control, each card struck the exposed weld points of the steel armor, sparking blinding flashes of light.
After the firelight flickered more than ten times, Tony suddenly felt a lightness in his body.
Ding-ling-ding-ji~~
The Iron Man armor instantly turned into a pile of scrap metal, falling off his body one after another. Suddenly, Tony stood naked in front of Chu Yang.
He awkwardly raised his hands and waved them at Chu Yang, "Hello!"
Chu Yang smacked his lips.
This is it!
Tony's face was ashen, and he was already imagining the scene of terrorists executing him.
"Cough cough cough, I promise I'll never play cards again in my life!"
Hapi, who was about to vomit his insides, staggered in from outside the cave, his steps unsteady. At first, he didn't know how those people died, until he saw a nine of hearts stuck in someone's head.
"Happy?!"
Tony looked at his bodyguard and friend, his pale face quickly turning red, and he shouted the other's name in surprise.
"Tony!"
Happy was equally excited.
Just as the two were about to give each other a big hug, Tony suddenly stopped, turned to look at Chu Yang with a strange expression, and asked:
"Fuck! You're really my employee?!"
In the evening, the military located the group's position through intense artillery fire.
Colonel Rhodes personally led a team to rescue Tony Stark.
When he arrived at his destination, he saw the base in complete disarray, and his heart tightened immediately.
With such an intense battle, even if Tony were found, he'd probably be reduced to ashes.
Thinking of this, Colonel Rhodes was overcome with grief, and his eyes reddened as he stood up to his feet.
Drop drop ~~
His phone rang.
Ignoring his grief, Colonel Rhodes answered the phone.
"What?"
"He's already gone back!"
"A party in the hospital?!?"
"Fuck! Tony!"
hospital.
"So, the boy who cut through steel with playing cards is only 16 years old, about to start high school, and someone you just met on the street?"
"We've only known each other for less than 24 hours?!"
Lying on the hospital bed, Tony stared at Happy with wide eyes until he became a little embarrassed and turned away shyly.
"Are you sure the information you found is true? That kid looks like he escaped from some secret base—"
Tony still couldn't believe it. The thought of his meticulously crafted armor being as fragile as tofu in front of that kid made his pride feel like it was crawling with a million ants.
"I'm sure!" Happy said seriously.
"Pepper used all of the group's resources to investigate him."
"Yang grew up in a small town in the countryside. His parents and family were Chinese immigrants who had lived there for generations. They passed away when he was very young, and he grew up relying on his neighbors and the town's welfare institutions."
"He got accepted into a public high school in Brooklyn, but for some reason, he didn't attend. Instead, he chose to wander the streets and that's when he met me."
Upon hearing Brooklyn, Tony instinctively frowned and said with disdain, "If it were me, I wouldn't study there either. Pshaw, Brooklyn? It only produces thugs and drug addicts!"
"Watch your words, Mr. Stark," Pepper said angrily as she entered the ward after hearing Tony's appalling remarks. "What you're saying will be seen as discriminatory in the public eye, and it's very bad for Stark Industries' image!"
"I apologize!" Tony raised his hands. "Although I was being objective, you're right, Miss Potts."
Pepper was already used to Tony's persistent pestering. She said helplessly, "I've found all the information you needed. Now let's talk about how to deal with that boy."
"My God! He's only 16! And he's being forced to go to the Afghan battlefield to save people!"
"Happy, do you know how many laws we've broken just because he's a minor?"
"You said you met a cool guy on the street, but you didn't say he was a minor!"
By the end, Pepper was practically roaring.
The loud voice made Happy feel like he was standing in the eye of a storm. "Hey, you know, I've never been able to tell Asian faces apart." Happy wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and complained, "Normally, minors couldn't possibly drive away so many black people."
Tony nodded in empathy, saying, "Under normal circumstances, it's impossible for a minor to destroy my armor with playing cards."
"Maybe he has some special skills? Don't forget, he's of Chinese descent!" Pepper, too lazy to listen to these two bastards' excuses, snapped, "So, what are we going to do with him?!"
Tony and Happy exchanged a glance and answered in unison.
"Of course we should keep him!!!"
"I'll say it again, he's a minor, we can't hire him! That's illegal!"
Pepper yelled angrily!
She felt that Tony and Happy hadn't listened to a word she had just said!
"Oh! Calm down, Miss Potts!"
Tony jumped in fright and quickly explained, "I know he's a minor, and I know he has no family left. According to regulations, the Stark Charitable Foundation can sponsor his schooling. Do you understand what I mean?"
Pepper understood now: to obtain the power of Chu Yang's guardianship in the name of Stark Industries.
Tony chuckled, "I'll find him a good school, and in exchange, I need him to help me with some tests."
Pepper suddenly thought of something and asked, "Shall I test the strength of those metal toys for you?"
"Hey! You can't insult the culmination of my genius like that!" Tony said angrily. "The previous one was only a half-finished product, which is why it was so fragile!"
"A half-finished product ruined by playing cards is just a toy, isn't it?" Pepper said sarcastically, then left the ward without looking back.
She wasn't worried about Tony's health; after all, how bad could someone's health be if they could throw a party in a hospital?
Happy stood quietly to the side, trying his best not to look like a third wheel during their bickering.
As Tony's friend and bodyguard, he was fully aware of the inexplicable feelings between Pepper and Tony.
"She doesn't know anything!" Tony's face flushed with anger as he continued to argue, "I'm sure there's something wrong with those playing cards. Damn it, I should have taken some with me when I left!"
Happy thoughtfully reminded him, "Gustav has plenty; I can get you a few boxes if you need them."
Tony: "...
With the help of Stark Industries, Chu Yang's school was transformed from a neighborhood in Brooklyn into one of the best high schools in New York City.
But Chu Yang still has no intention of going to school.
Therefore, the kind-hearted Miss Pepper even went out of her way to find the small hotel where Chu Yang was staying, and sat on the shabby sofa worth $50 to have a heart-to-heart talk with Chu Yang.
She had never seen Chu Yang wreak havoc in the terrorist base; in her eyes, Chu Yang was just a 16-year-old boy who had been tricked into going to the battlefield by Happy.
Even though this boy is very skilled, he is still a child who needs to go to school and receive an education.
"Miss Potts, the main reason I don't go to school, besides the fact that the school is really bad, is that at this stage I find it difficult to learn the knowledge I need from a regular high school."
Chu Yang explained politely, his tone calm and composed, not at all like a teenage boy planning to drop out of school.
Pepper looked at him in surprise and asked, "Yang, do you mean you've already completed the high school curriculum on your own?"
Chu Yang nodded and said, "Yes, Miss Potts."
With the added advantage of his numerous clones, high school level knowledge was naturally no challenge for Chu Yang.
Pepper advised, "Even so, for your future, I still recommend that you study systematically and then pursue further studies at an excellent university."
"Working at Stark Industries, sitting in an office, is much safer than being Happy's bodyguard."
Chu Yang shrugged and said, "You may not believe it, but I can get into any university if I want to."
Pepper was a little angry. In Chu Yang, she saw some of the same kind of obsession that Tony had.
This is not a good thing, especially for boys of this age.
"Okay, if you pass my test, I won't give you any more feedback on your studies, okay?"
"Yes, Miss Potts."
Pepper then tested Chu Yang on some high school knowledge, and then began to ask some questions that were beyond the scope of the curriculum.
Half an hour later.
Pepper fell silent.
She began to realize the seriousness of the problem.
The next day.
Despite his busy schedule, Pepper visited the hospital again. "You've been coming quite often lately, which makes me very happy," Tony said, beaming and winking at Happy, who was watching the scene unfold.
Happy's lips curled up slightly.
Pepper, oblivious to the unspoken understanding between the two men, walked straight to Tony, placed a report in front of him, and said seriously, "I think you should reconsider your understanding of that boy."
"Which one?" Tony paused for a moment, then, under Pepper's burning gaze, suddenly realized, "The Card Boy?"
Happy coughed lightly and reminded him, "Yang."
"Oh, okay." Tony awkwardly picked up the report from the hospital bed, looked at it for a while, and then his expression became as serious as Pepper's.
"I'd like to ask, what are the chances that if I randomly meet someone on the street, their IQ is similar to mine?"
"Haha, what nonsense are you talking about? The odds are about the same as winning the lottery, around 0.000001%."
As soon as Happy finished speaking, Tony and Pepper both stared at him.
A few seconds later, Happy suddenly shuddered.
Congratulations on winning the prize!
Stark Industries.
"Can anyone tell me how that idiot bodyguard managed to destroy the terrorist base and bring Tony back from Afghanistan?"
"I spent millions of dollars, and all I got was a crashed plane and two charred corpses?"
Obadiah Stanislav was yelling into his phone, his meticulously planned kidnapping ruined by a two-hundred-pound idiot.
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then someone cautiously said, "Besides Happy Hogan, there was another person on the plane that day."
Obadiah Stanislav sneered, "Ha, a Chinese boy who just turned 16? You want to tell me he did all this?"
"This joke isn't funny at all. I'd rather believe that Happy, that idiot, mutated into Captain America."
Unable to find any more excuses, the person on the other end of the phone could only keep apologizing until Obadiah, looking embarrassed, hung up.
But he quickly recovered and continued to practice keeping smiling.
Tony Stark is being discharged from the hospital tomorrow and will be holding a press conference, so Obadiah can't afford to show the slightest sign of resentment.
"But why did Happy bring a 16-year-old boy to rescue Tony?"
"After investigating, that kid turned out to be just an ordinary Chinese American, and even an orphan."
What secret is he hiding?
Meanwhile, in another high-rise building, a black-clad man wearing an eye patch was asking the same question.
However, he seems to have more information than Obadiah.
"To wreak havoc in Gustav's bar with just playing cards and walk away unscathed, and even go to the Afghan battlefield to rescue people. Tony Stark's new friend doesn't seem like an ordinary person at all—"
