Chapter 116 Aetherion's Edge
Chapter 116 Aetherion's Edge
"You're the last one," Orlen said, his sharp gaze locking onto Arlon. "Well, I don't have any more students to fight against you. So, what do you say? Wanna fight me?"
Arlon blinked, momentarily caught off guard. He hadn't anticipated this. Fighting against the professor wasn't something he had prepared for, but it seemed inevitable.
He studied Orlen carefully. There was no doubt in his mind that the professor was strong—possibly stronger than most of the Trionians Arlon had encountered since his return to the past.
Still, Arlon didn't back down. Instead, he did something he usually wouldn't. He activated the Eyes of K*T**.
The faint golden sparks flickered briefly in his irises as the skill came to life.
He was fully aware of the consequences of using it, but at this moment, understanding his opponent's strength took precedence over everything else.

Even with the limited information, Arlon felt a weight settle in his chest.
Level 199.
This wasn't just a number—it was a milestone. For Trionians, level 199 was an insurmountable barrier, the most difficult threshold to surpass. The jump from level 199 to 200 was akin to climbing an endless mountain.
Level 299 was even harder, but no Trionian in recorded history had ever reached that point. Reaching level 200 alone was a feat that instantly cemented one's status as one of the strongest beings in Trion.
Orlen was on the cusp of that breakthrough. The realization sent a ripple of shock through Arlon.
"Huh?" Orlen suddenly said, tilting his head as if sensing something. A slight smirk played on his lips. "You could've just asked my level, you know. Now I feel naked."
The comment caused a ripple of murmurs among the students and players. Everyone turned to look at Arlon, confusion etched on their faces.
Arlon felt a flicker of embarrassment and quickly deactivated the Eyes of K*T**. "I didn't mean to—"
Of course, Arlon heard it. "Stop with the unnecessary jokes. We will be staying here for five days. I don't want them to cause us more problems."
Orlen turned toward Helvar. "You were confident about beating him even though you couldn't see his level. You will also be writing an essay about arrogance as part of your exam."
Helvar was too shocked to move. He didn't think one of those guest students could be this fast.
He was still thinking that in terms of strength, he could beat Arlon. Naturally, he was wrong, but there was no way for him to know that.
Arlon had two reasons behind his actions. The first one was to announce that they weren't to be messed with.
Of course, he didn't care about how others saw them. He just wanted to use this learning opportunity to the fullest.
The second one was to teach Helvar and the others, like Orlen, to assess the enemy before fighting them.
"Now, do you want to proceed?" Orlen said looking at Arlon.
"Sure," Arlon said confidently.
But when they entered the arena and when he unsheathed Aetherion's Edge, Orlen looked at the sword for a long time.
"Where did you find it? Ah, it doesn't matter. There aren't many places where you can find such a sword anyway," Orlen thought loudly.
This time, the others didn't know about this sword. Royals weren't things that everyone could openly do research on.
It was prohibited to experiment on them, like the portals, in case they were damaged.
In the meantime, the students were still talking.
"Do you think he can win against the professor?"
"Um, maybe. Didn't you see how fast he was?"
"No way, no way! The professor is said to be about to break through!"
"What? Is that correct?"
"I don't care who wins, but that Arlon guy is really cool."
Arlon, naturally, didn't get affected by the praises of the children, especially since he was around 34 years old inside.
But he knew that he had already gained the anger of some of the boys.
He didn't blame them. At their age, he would've been annoyed if someone walked in and stole all the attention.
Also, even though Arlon always said he didn't care, when he changed his face with magic, he made himself look more handsome than he normally looked.
