Chapter 18 Granger's Words Chill the Heart
Chapter 18 Granger's Words Chill the Heart
Picking up where we left off, Harry suddenly bowed, and Snape was stunned for a moment, then his face darkened, as if he had seen a troll in a tutu or a goblin dressed as a charming lady.
He sneered, "Ha! So our famous Mr. Potter has learned what respect is."
If Harry heard such sarcastic remarks in Potions class, he would definitely fight him to the death.
But after visiting Hagrid's hut and learning about those past events, he couldn't bring himself to lash out at Snape when they met again.
It was a deep bond between father and son, yet they also understood right and wrong. One was his childhood sweetheart, the other a man who stole her away. Torn by unrequited love, he hurled vicious words at her.
Harry said to himself, "I was being reckless in class today, and I hope the professor will forgive me."
The more submissive he was, the more annoyed Snape became.
"Enough, Potter! I'm not here to hear your apologies! So stop trying to disgust me with that attitude!"
Seeing his agitated and furious state, Harry felt pity and couldn't bring himself to say anything harsh.
Dumbledore coughed. "Severus, Harry is still just a child."
Harry cupped his hands in a gesture of respect, saying, "Headmaster, there's no need for further words. My father was unworthy of the professor, and it is a case of the son inheriting the father's sins; I have nothing more to say."
"Wait, Potter! What kind of look is that?! Who are you pitying?!"
Harry ignored him and turned away on his own.
As soon as the door closed, Snape turned sharply to Dumbledore. "What did you say to him?"
"Oh, my dear Severus, I never told Harry about those things from the past. I think he probably heard about them somewhere else."
Snape gritted his teeth. "I'd better not find out who this blabbermouth is, or I'll force a hundred bottles of 'Fat Tongue Potion' down his throat!"
Enough of this digression. Harry left the Headmaster's office and headed towards the dining hall. Seeing from a distance that all the lights were off, he decided to return to the Gryffindor common room.
After giving the fat lady the password and opening the door, Harry was just about to step out when a whooshing sound like a tidal wave came as Fred and George rushed in from both sides and hoisted Harry onto their shoulders.
"Rejoice! Our Lion King has returned!"
With those two starting, the Gryffindor students all cheered. They played flutes, wore pointed hats, hung banners, and set up decorations, just like a centenarian celebrating his birthday with his children and grandchildren all gathered together in joy.
Harry sat on one leg and one shoulder, puzzled. It wasn't his birthday, so why was they putting on this show?
"Homage to you, great savior!"
"Well done, Harry! It's been years since I've seen Snape get his comeuppance."
"That's one small step for Harry, one giant leap for Gryffindor!"
"The lion cub has caught the snake's head!"
After listening to these people's words, it turned out they were celebrating Harry's humiliation of Snape in Potions class.
Back in the annual House Cup, Slytherin had won seven consecutive times. When they met Slytherin students on ordinary occasions, Gryffindors were naturally considered inferior.
How could Harry not be delighted that the Headmaster of Slytherin has suffered such a setback?
Fred and George lifted Harry up and led him to the sofa by the fireplace.
The other students, regardless of grade, all gathered around to congratulate him and ask him the secret to why he could berate Snape without losing points.
Harry thought to himself: This is an old grudge between my parents and Snape. How can I let them know about the affairs of my elders?
The students pressed for answers, when suddenly someone shouted:
"I'm telling you, everyone, let's not ask anymore. If everyone provokes Snape, it won't be good if we push him too far."
Harry looked closely and saw that the person who had shouted to help was outside the crowd, with only a tuft of red hair showing. Even though his face was not visible, Harry knew that this person must be Ron.
The students all nodded in agreement.
Hermione seized the opportunity to add, "I think we should all think about how to get points with other professors instead of messing with Professor Snape."
These words, though golden, are ill-timed. Like a bucket of cold water poured into a charcoal brazier, they only produce thick smoke, causing people to scatter.
Seeing that no one paid attention, Hermione was at a loss and just started fiddling with her robes.
It is:
The Lions House celebrated, eager to show off, and stormed into the snake pit to fight the Dean.
Hermione's advice to avoid the situation was met with a cold shower, which chilled people's hearts.
After they all left, Harry cupped his hands and said, "Thank you for helping me out, elder sister and brother."
"It's okay, we're friends, aren't we?"
Ron continued talking to himself, but his hands kept moving. He unwrapped the bag wrapped in his robe, which contained tender chicken, fatty slices of fish, hard bread, and other such foods.
"Harry, you haven't had dinner yet, have you?"
A fragrant aroma wafted into his nostrils, and Harry exclaimed happily, "Good brother! Without you, I would be starving!"
He sat cross-legged, stuffed the food into his mouth, and recounted in detail his conversation with Dumbledore, but omitted the unbreakable vow.
Hermione, puzzled, asked, "Professor Dumbledore doesn't want you to be in danger, but he's also unwilling to talk about breaking into Gringotts?"
"Isn't this somewhat contradictory?"
Ron thought for a long time, but his mind was blank. He could only reply, "There must be a huge conspiracy hidden here."
Harry, his mouth stuffed with meat, said, "We'll take it one step at a time."
"Once my weapons are ready, even if a powerful enemy comes, I will not be afraid of him."
It is:
Why is it that he ordered Harry to be protected but concealed the truth from him, which is contradictory?
Given time, weapons will be forged, and even if a powerful man attacks, we will not hide!
A week has passed since the three men's conversation, and Hogwarts remains calm and uneventful.
Although things were going smoothly, Harry wasn't a frog in lukewarm water. He urged Flitwick several times to turn up the fire in the goblin furnace and quickly forge the best weapons.
Half a month later, the school opened a flight course, which drew cheers and excitement from countless first-year students.
It should be known that flying is very popular in the magical world, and there is a flying competition called Quidditch, which is like football in the secular world. Everyone knows about it and loves it.
Harry was intrigued and thought that riding a sword and soaring through the wind could also make him look like an immortal.
It wasn't until they went to the meadow for class that they learned that what they called flying was actually teaching them to ride a broom.
"Alright, everyone stand next to your flying brooms now, quick, get moving!"
As the flight instructor, Mrs. Hooch, called out, the students each grabbed a broom, and Harry picked out a straight and sturdy one.
"Great, now all you have to do is stretch out your hands, put them on the broom, and shout."
"Do you have any other questions?"
No sooner had Mrs. Hodge finished speaking than Harry exclaimed, "I have one!"
"We are just flesh and blood, weighing only a few dozen kilograms. How can a broom bear our weight?"
"Wouldn't riding it hurt my groin?"
There's a teacher, a first-grader, arrogant and reckless. Only the scarred boy, with his chilling words, dares to challenge: can a broomstick injure a gun in the groin? To find out what happens next, please listen to the next episode.
