Chapter 101 Professor, I want to learn this!
In the morning in the auditorium, Kane drank some hot white porridge, feeling a sharp, grating pain in his mouth with every sip.
"Uh, I have to go see Madam Pomfrey later." Kane summoned a small mirror and looked at the evil little white dot inside his lips in the mirror.
"Is this a hormonal imbalance? Or a vitamin deficiency?" Hermione glanced at herself in the mirror. "Just eat more vegetables."
"Vegetables are no good for wizards. I'll just drink a potion and get it done in one go," Kane shook his head.
"Then you'd better hurry, Professor McGonagall's class is the first one today," Ron reminded him.
"Hmm..." Kane responded and then noticed a strange problem: why was Harry so quiet today? He wasn't making a sound at all.
He glanced in Harry's direction and saw him take a travel magazine during the owl swarm, looking for ferries or flights to the near-Arctic region, or even Flyronet.
He really needs a flying broom as powerful as Kane's mantis shrimp.
Unfortunately, he found none. Other cities with human inhabitants all had some gathering places for wizards, but the Arctic...
Some wizards do travel, but wizards are not Muggles after all, and their curiosity about the world is much less. They also don't build any research stations in the Arctic, so the only way to get to the Arctic is by car.
"Kane, how fast can your mantis shrimp fly?" Harry asked Kane.
"Normally, it's 166 miles per hour. If you want to go a bit faster, you can go over 200? That's the time you three got overloaded and passed out."
"So... England is 2,500 miles from the North Pole, and it will only take me a little over twelve hours..."
Harry muttered to himself, counting on his fingers.
Kane looked at Harry, who had already started making plans, and pursed his lips. What was that saying again?
It's a shame to encounter such a stunning flying broomstick when you're young; it's like being captivated by a mantis shrimp for life.
He quickly finished eating and headed towards the infirmary. Madam Pomfrey had just returned from dinner in the Great Hall and was arranging all sorts of potions that Snape had brewed during his vacation on the shelves.
He stopped what he was doing when he saw Kane arrive: "Is there something you need, Mr. Heath?"
Kane pulled at his lips, showing the small white dot to Madam Pomfrey: "Do you have any potion for treating mouth ulcers?"
Madam Pomfrey shook her head: "I'm sorry, Kane, but in wizarding medicine, mouth ulcers are considered an incurable disease, just like in Muggle medicine. You can only rely on your body to heal itself."
Kane let out a weak sigh and was about to leave when Madam Pomfrey, seeing how pitiful Kane was, pointed him in the right direction: "Perhaps you can use the petals of a Remingflower to cover your mouth ulcers. It's in that sunny spot outside the greenhouse. The petals of that flower have a strong absorption capacity, enough to allow you to eat normally until your mouth ulcers heal."
"However, you can't pick those plants yourself, because picking them will get you struck by lightning. In fact, every year in England and Europe, many Muggles get struck by lightning because of that stuff. Although the lightning isn't fatal, you don't want to be in the infirmary on the first day of school, so go find Professor Sprout or Hagrid."
Kane nodded. "Thank you, Mrs. Pomfrey. I'll go find Hagrid now."
After saying that, he left the infirmary and slid down the stairs to the first floor in a few steps, leaving Hogwarts. As for whether he should seek help from Hagrid or Professor Sprout, that was another matter.
Of course, that's unnecessary; his raincoat is insulated.
Kane headed straight for the area outside the greenhouse and found a plant with faint electric arcs on its outer surface, resembling a combination of reeds and roses. Unsurprisingly, it was a Remingflower.
Kane didn't uproot it; he only needed a single petal. So he gently pinched a petal, held the stem with his other hand, and gently pulled the petal off.
Almost instantly, a golden bolt of lightning suddenly struck down from the clear, cloudless sky. Just as Kane was staring at the lightning, intending to taste its saltiness with his raincoat, the lightning did not hit him. Instead, it veered off course and landed on the tip of Professor Sprout's wand, ultimately vanishing without a trace.
"It seems you've been suffering from mouth ulcers, Kane. You should have told me, after all, this plant is quite dangerous," Professor Sprout said with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Kane quickly stuck the petal to his lips, as if afraid that Professor Sprout would snatch it away and put it back inside.
"I don't mind if you come here to get some plants because you need them, just be more careful next time." Professor Sprout looked at Kane and wanted to laugh, but he felt that it was not a good professor to laugh at his students, so he forced himself to keep his cheekbones flat and said.
"Thank you, Professor. I'm off now. Also, how come your wand also functions as a lightning rod? Is that some kind of strange magic?" Kane wanted to ask one last question before leaving.
"Oh, of course not. It's just a simple weather spell. I only need to release a little lightning to attract the lightning from the sky. After all, I need to take care of these plants." After Professor Sprout finished speaking, he casually waved his wand, and a light rain suddenly fell on the field, targeting only that field. Then Sprout waved his wand again, and several bolts of lightning struck down from the sky towards the Thunderflower.
Kane stared at the scene with a shocked expression; in his eyes, this magic was something completely different.

At that moment, he had only one thought.
"Professor, I want to learn this!"
Professor Sprant, who possessed exceptional professional skills but was naturally peaceful and lacked combat awareness, looked at Kane with suspicion. He was the only one who would plant enemies upside down in the ground and insist that they were mandrakes.
"This is just a spell to care for plants, will you like it?"
Kane nodded vigorously, his face full of certainty, and said, "Of course, Professor. To be honest, I've only ever had two natural talents since birth: magic and farming!"
"Hmm..." Professor Sprout looked at Kane, whose eyes were full of longing for farming, and thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to let Kane stay in the greenhouse. Since the young wizard liked it, let him come. Besides, since the two key students from the seventh grade graduated and left last year, the greenhouse was indeed short-handed.
"Then come over after you finish lunch in the auditorium, as long as you don't have any classes." After Professor Sprout finished speaking, Kane gave an OK sign: "Don't worry, Professor, all my first classes in the afternoon this semester are easy classes, I guarantee I'll skip them!"
You'll see me this afternoon.
He had just finished speaking when a bell suddenly rang out from the main tower of Hogwarts.
"Wow, I have to go to class now, bye Professor Sprout." Kane said and ran quickly toward Hogwarts.
"Ah—what a wonderful little wizard!"
Professor Sprout, realizing he couldn't catch up with the little pumpkin, turned around, bent down, picked it up, pulled a flying broom from its mouth, and flew straight towards the Transfiguration classroom, sighing as he spoke.
