Chapter 401 - 52: Forest Race, Elemental Crystal Core (Part 3)
’Or perhaps they possess some kind of Power that allows them to create these Elemental Crystal Cores?’
’The world is vast and full of wonders; anything is possible.’
Sean pondered.
Finally, he said:
"This is a generous gift, and I have no reason to refuse it."
"Since you’ve been so generous, it’s only right that I return the favor. Allow me to clear up some of your confusion."
"As for the trade you proposed, I am not authorized to approve it myself, but I can relay your offer."
"Besides, I believe that with the wisdom and intelligence you’ve displayed, you will soon discover that meeting me may very well be a stroke of luck for your Race!"
Sean’s expression turned serious as he began to provide a general overview of the Star Empire.
After all, this world had long been in the sights of both the Star Empire and the Giant Demon Empire!
No matter how powerful this world was, a war of civilizations was inevitable.
The two Empires had already assembled their grand armies.
The existence of advance teams and scouts was simply a means for the two Empires to gather intelligence and decide how to fight this war.
Therefore, even if Sean revealed everything, it would have little impact on the grand scheme of things.
Besides, a war of civilizations didn’t have to be a zero-sum game.
For instance, if this Forest Race truly possessed the Ability to create Elemental Crystal Cores, their value would be immeasurable.
If Sean could successfully persuade them to cease resistance and join the Empire...
Then, one could only imagine the immense rewards.
So, Sean began his performance.
He started by explaining the details of his rank as a Major, then moved on to the structure of the Empire Army Department.
Finally, he described the immense scale of the Star Empire and the existence of the Dragon Race and Deities within it.
In short, while sticking to the facts as much as possible, Sean exaggerated the Star Empire’s might to an incredible degree.
For example, he mentioned how many worlds the Empire had conquered, and so on.
Or how the powerful Pure Blood Cloud Court Dragon Clan members at the Saint Tier could rival Deities.
And finally, the Dragon God, who was comparable to a great sun and could annihilate a world with a single hand, among other such claims.
In short, even if he exaggerated, it wasn’t by much.
And so, as Sean continued his explanation, the Elf Elder’s expression, initially calm, gradually shifted to confusion, and finally to utter bewilderment.
Sean’s boasts were grand and well-delivered.
But unfortunately, it was as if they were speaking different languages.
After all, this was still a primitive world.
Concepts like the Star Sea or planets were as difficult for the natives of this world to understand as fairy tales.
Furthermore, while the Elf Elder had known from the beginning that Sean was not a being from this world, in his eyes, Sean was likely just a member of a Clan belonging to an ancient, powerful Deity.
’An Empire?’
’A Star Sea?’
’He didn’t understand any of it!’
To say nothing of concepts like "Intelligent Mechanism" technology.
However, the Elf Elder was, after all, a being who had lived for an untold number of years.
He possessed a sliver of knowledge about the Star Sea—that is, the realm beyond his own world. Thus, when Sean finally concluded, the Elf Elder spoke slowly, his expression strange:
"Forgive my ignorance, but there is much in what you’ve said that I find difficult to comprehend, let alone imagine."
"However, I did clearly understand one thing you said: that your Empire intends to conquer our world."
"Any Race capable of conquering an entire world must be powerful indeed, and I believe in your strength. Therefore, our trade can certainly proceed."
"But this situation is beyond what I had anticipated."
"So, if you would permit me, I must first inform our Queen of this matter. Shall we resume our talks after that?"
"Furthermore, I suspect the Queen will need to pray to our Father God..."
In short, the Elf Elder realized the situation was far beyond what he had imagined, and it also exceeded his authority.
Therefore, he planned to ask Sean to remain as a guest for a time. While awaiting word from the Royal Court, he also wished to engage in in-depth discussions with Sean, hoping to fully comprehend everything he had said.
What could Sean say to that?
’The Elemental Crystal Cores... and the fact that this Elf Elder seems to be seriously considering the Star Empire... No matter how you look at it, if I get the chance to persuade this entire Race to join the Empire, it’ll be a massive win.’
So, Sean felt a small risk was acceptable, and thus he agreed.
