Chapter 913 Find
'... Interesting...'
Sylas' first thought when he saw the crown was his own. But the feel wasn't the same at all.
Then he remembered, his crown wasn't the only one he knew of, right? There were the King Beasts, of course, but those were very similar to his own. King Beasts seemed able to exert a control over the world around them that made them exceptionally powerful—far more so than their stats alone suggested. Of course, on top of having ridiculous stats as well.
Sylas' own crown was similar. It helped him influence control over the world. His Aether flowed faster, his Runes formed quicker, the Effectiveness of his stats also reached a new tier.
It was an all-arounder.
The Basilisk King's Crown, however, was different. It worked more specifically and yet it wasn't necessarily worse. The ability to raise all Skills to Gene Skills was enormous.
If Sylas had that for Berserk right now, just how much could he boost his Physical in exchange for his extraordinary Will?
Cassarae's crown was more acute as well and it fed off of bloodlust, or rather... Blood Essence.
'... So similar to Blade Aura...'
When her crown was activated, the more she killed, the more she could replenish her Will. The more she could replenish her Will, the more her blade could feed her stamina. And the more her blade could feed her stamina, the more she could kill.
This was like the last piece of the puzzle Cassarae needed. And yet, this was just the Silver tier of her Class.
Maybe it made sense that it was so difficult to clear. Or, maybe...
'Depending on the creature I killed, the Class rewards for my Chain Quest were different as well. When I killed that normal Level 21 earth affinity Serpentes before, the Class I was rewarded with was very average compared to other Bronze Classes.
'But Cassarae keeps choosing very difficult targets...'
It was as simple as that.
But... if it was the system that did this... was it trying to give others an opportunity to become Earth's Progenitor? In that case, was it just Cassarae? Or were there others?
'No, something is definitely up.'
Sylas' eyes narrowed.
"Come on, let's go. After we ransack the Coalition House, we still have to visit a certain city..."
The City of Glass was still hovering at the back of his mind. Something told him that he had no chance at claiming that city even now... but he also felt that if he didn't even try, then he would be selling himself short.
At the very least, he had to stand there and see what his Luck had to tell him about it now.
In the meantime, even if that fell through, an entire government with roots laid since the last failed Summoning should have good things, right? At the very least, with this, Casstle Main would be shored up even if they didn't gain a Silver City to satiate themselves.
But in the case they did gain that Silver City...
Sylas was confident that no challenge this World War could throw at them would be up to snuff.
...
And find things they did.
Armories of Legendary Path Weapons, entire basement floors of Aether Stones up to the Gold Grade, raw resources the likes of which would make alchemists and blacksmiths alike salivate. There was even a room of pelts from King Beasts that might make a certain Seamstress faint on sight even after Sylas had passed along so many to her.
But none of this caught Sylas' attention the most.
There, on the lowest floor, in the most protected region...
Was a floating Bronze Grade City Stele.
