Chapter 452 Final Discussions
But before anything else, the Demon King clapped his hands. A man strode in, his red cloak flowing behind him, the black garb wrapped tightly around his body. Standing at seven feet tall, his muscles stretched and bulged beneath the fabric.
"Elithira, you can hand her over. I will focus on her healing right now," the man stated, his deep voice resonating in the room.
Elithira nodded, reaching up. "Surprised to see you back from your mission as a support to the hero on planet Genesis, Topo," she said, her tone lightening with curiosity.
Topo chuckled, his muscular frame shaking slightly. "Things were going well. I was actually relaxing, enjoying the guild life. I had a party of four while the hero was on a deep training exercise. I probably have another month until I'm actually needed, so hopefully I can assist our king with his issues and get back."
The Demon King's expression softened slightly. "That's enough, Topo. Please take her away for healing. I know it won't take long, but I do not wish to see my daughter in pain anymore."
Topo snapped to attention, giving a deep bow. He gently took the injured figure into his arms, his slick black hair falling over his face. "Of course, Master." As he walked away, Sanguina noticed the number 4 on his right shoulder.
"What is the number 4 for?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Elithira spoke up, her voice carrying a note of pride. "That's his rank in Father's Destarados of 12, his elite guard. A story for another time."
The Demon King gave a light cough, drawing their attention back to him. "Now, onto the fairy. That still doesn't make sense. Cursed beings are actually people who succumbed to dark emotions. She must have come from somewhere else or transformed from an event."
Oh?" Sanguina responded. "I guess that does add a spin to that situation. Well, regardless, the fairy or whatever the creature is with the Skeleton boy now."
"That's right," the Demon King explained, his tone patient but firm. "You should know this, but then again, you don't leave much or study up a lot. They make it their goal not to physically harm others when outside of their universe. The exact reason is a bit of a mystery, but I bet he used a convoluted way to get around and try fighting."
Elithira crossed her arms, a hint of defiance in her stance. "Well, I didn't go all out either."
The Demon King placed a hand on her head, his touch both comforting and commanding. "Regardless, I am proud of you. Things are only going to get crazier from here. But hopefully, we can start getting things back in the right direction now that you've recovered Ty's finger."
He turned his gaze to Sanguina. "Please go get some rest, Elithira. We will talk in the morning."
He then addressed Sanguina. "Please let your father know I will be in touch to discuss the next steps. The Angelic Universe is still unaware their third captain has been subdued for the time being. I suspect there is some division going on."
Sanguina nodded, her expression serious. "Understood, I will inform my father. Let's hope this division works in our favor."
The Demon King's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "We will need every advantage we can get," he said, his voice filled with determination.
The Demon King watched as she brought her hands together, a red portal slowly emerging between her fingers. She gave a slight bow before stepping through and disappearing.
"Now that she's gone, let's prepare for dinner," he said, his voice echoing in the grand hall of the throne room. "I will have Kirana inspect this finger, and we can go from there. Also, any luck on the cross-link blade?"
His daughter's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of unease crossed her face. "Sorry, Father, that had gotten past me," she admitted, her tone tinged with regret. "To my understanding, they were turned into stone per Nanako. And with King Griswald gone from the world for the moment, I'm unaware if it's retrievable."
