Kai returned briefly after enjoying the warm, pillowy hug of Tsunade's mind-boggling breasts. His cheeks were still a little toasty and warm.
Inside his bedroom, Kai came to find a rather wholesome sight of Konan being hugged by Kushina and spooned by Nono as the bluenette had nothing to worry about tonight and she slept happily. The trio drooled over the mattress somewhat but... oh, well. It's not like he had any chance to sleep tonight either way.
He returned to the living room and slumped down. This day was quite eventful.
Meeting with Mikoto's family to finally have some serious talks about the future then Uprooting Danzo's Fierce Angels... Making the bandaged cur openly attack the Hokage and strangely disappear under Yata's pursuit... Not to mention the fact that Orochimaru had managed to master Senjutsu Chakra... what Tsunade was on about regarding Orochimaru, Kai didn't know. But it must surely have something to do with the man's somewhat weird lips. Not to mention... Orochimaru already hinted that he knew Kai was behind this whole chaos and the Sannin himself was behind the dead children in the hospital.

Man, Kai almost felt sorry for Hiruzen. His best pal sucker elbowed his throat and his favorite student was in cahoots with quite the research subject... not to mention, his other two disciples were not communicating with the man, too.
Tsunade was thoroughly disappointed in her Sensei today. She only did it because it really happened to be the Hokage's job to stop all this from happening in the first place but his advisors were balls deep in him. Meanwhile, Jiraiya... was surely researching his own subject material but Tsunade claimed that she was sure Jiraiya would have heard the news but avoided coming in now because of all this nonsense itself.
But, Kai didn't let his thoughts linger around Hiruzen. After all, Kai just did this whole village a favor and was already repaid... with something a little too soft, warm, and extra. Instead, he focused on the memories he got from the clone that was left with Minato.
Needless to say, the blonde genius used his clone in every manner... intellectually. Rasengun was a cool technique only if it landed on the opponent so this jutsu most definitely needed a supporting jutsu that works with the Shinobi's strengths. Still, a single Jutsu was nowhere near enough for Minato and now the youth intended to go down the Fuinjutsu route alongside a few supporting elemental jutsu.
On the other hand, Kai unsealed a scroll from his body and then began to sort the loot from the Root.
Aside from the fresh stock of chakra ores just waiting to be pounded by one of his clones to grind the [Study of Chakra Weapons (1/100)], Kai looked at one of the more interesting jutsu: Super Beast Imitating Drawing. This was... good. REALLY good. Kai could almost see janky drawings running around while waving another art piece. For instance, a giant orc using a pig as a club... freaky but cool!
Jokes aside, this is the kind of 'supporting' technique that can bring out the effects of other techniques, and even if Kai felt that clones worked better, if possible, he didn't wish to use Shadow Clones in battles because of the transfer of pain that might just make him flinch in a real pinch of a situation.
To him, Shadow Clones worked best with the Grind!
Aside from the chakra ores and this jutsu, Kai also had a field trip with other Anbu techniques that he couldn't gain since he wasn't really an Anbu. Most of it was Kenjutsu... but even if he learned it, he may not get a skill. After all... Anbu was first trained by Tobirama Senju and most of their Kenjutsu came from the Senju. After mastering [The Uchiha Intercepting Art (30/30)], he had most of what Konoha had to offer in the matters of Kenjutsu.

Setting a lab was easier said than done so Kai had to keep a pin on THAT stack of notes at the moment. Sure, his clones were studying it thoroughly alongside practicing some simple forging technique and painting but... Kai had to be here in his real self. One of the conditions by his 'master.'
Arms crossed under her budding breasts, Kushina had her tomato red hair tied into a ponytail with two thick locks framing her round face as she seriously walked around him and examined him from top to bottom. Mikoto wasn't far away as they'd just completed another D-rank mission this morning.
The world can be set on fire for all he cared but Team 'Kai' would complete a mission every day! This needed to remain constant! Thus, even if the talks between Kai's side and Mikoto's side were ambiguous, they continued to be the efficient team they desired to be.
"Want me to slip out of my clothes? You can check all you want," Kai smirked and teased as Kushina pouted, "He looks real... what about you, Mikoto?"
With her Sharingan activated, Mikoto seriously observed Kai and nodded, "Looks real enough."
Kai snorted, "Of course, I'm real. You two must be drunk to think I'd let a clone get it on with you!" He crossed his arms as he pained a very vivid image, "Sure, it may be hot if it was 'me' at all times but clones are quite individual! And if I managed to make the clones I REALLY want... hehe... I'll shower my team with LOTS of attention~!"
Mikoto rolled her eyes, "We'll see if you can manage to come to an accord with the clan, Youngest Jonin-kun."
The ruckus Kai had caused was suppressed on a surface level. For the next week, before making any reforms, all the clans affiliated with the three Elders went through cleansing.
But this was only a front of the highest quality.
Hiruzen showed how ruthless he really can be as he used this failure from his side to NOT stop with just the elders. As things are, weakening the elders DID mean making the clan stronger. Even emerging from one of the clans himself, Hiruzen couldn't have that.
The first to be targeted was the Inuzuka Clan. A few influential Jonins of the clan, to be precise, two female jonins and a male jonin were running a small illegal prostitution chain for the nobles of the Fire Capital. Again, Hiruzen only targeted special individuals. By having these three Jonins stripped of their duties and publicly imprisoned to further be tortured, Hiruzen made the Matriarch of the Inuzuka greatly relieved. As scummy as it was, the trio was a great challenge to the authority of Tsume's mother, and even if this manner of removing competition was... dishonorable, Inuzuka Clan never was about honor but only winning.
This also helped Hiruzen regain the trust of the Inuzuka clan somewhat who only responded to strength and right now, Hiruzen was a picture of fierce strength political and personal.
After this, Hiruzen rooted out a few bad apples from each clan that had the backings of civilian nobles and had become troublesome for the clan heads including the Sarutobi Clan.
Only three large clans had no such situation The Senju, The Uchiha, and The Hyuga.
Of the Senju, Hiruzen was troubled by Tsunade but that was only due to personal reasons. The Senju Clan was the backbone of the village and had given others not a single reason to be afraid of them.
Uchiha and Hyuga... on the other hand, were different.
The Hyuga Clan practiced strict... 'monarchy'. But, this was one thing Hiruzen couldn't touch even if he wanted. Rooting out a few bad apples meant cleansing which was appreciated by the clans. Directly involved in the policies of the clan and their traditions meant 'manipulating' the clan which wasn't appreciated.
As such, only Uchiha got the worse end of the stick. It was a known fact that many Uchiha members had gotten well in over their heads and the situation was not getting better. Hiruzen admitted, that he would have wanted things to settle themselves. After all, things like this always settle down in time... but this was a Hiruzen whose neck wasn't broken by the person he trusted the most.
If the Uchiha elders and members had any frustration about why the indisciplined members of the Uchiha Police were 'disciplined' then Hiruzen let most of them know why he was STILL the Hokage and they weren't.
The coming week simply extended into an even more troubling month for the higher-ups in the village as they all demanded reforms... and reforms they got...
