Chapter 251 Petrifying glare
Chapter 251 Petrifying glare
The girls remained unblinking at the revelation made by Uriel and they awkwardly laughed not knowing if he was joking or if he meant something different to what he just said. Then Medusa broke the silence with the same question they all had in their mind.
"But you're here, aren't you?"
"Yes."
"What do you mean then? Did you die for a few minutes or something?" It was Nika's turn to ask a question.@@@@
"It's complicated."
"Are you a zombie?" Luna said as she stood on the tip of her toes to lean closer to his face, but her question prompted Nika to take her distance from Uriel.
"No, no! I'm not a zombie or a cryptid. The dagger I found in Chichén Itzá had an inscription that said 'offer thy heart'."
"And of course the first thing you thought was to stab yourself in the heart like a moron!" Nika scolded.
"I did think about it, but you need to understand that I went through a lot. There were two horror level cryptids nipping at my heels, I was badly injured and burned and I was about to die anyway so I figured I should at least give it a try.
When I first found the orichalcum dagger it was ruined, but after breaking a few orbs nearby it started repairing itself, then I charged it with the batteries and it started shimmering and I was transported to the mystical realm where I met Water warlock, a member from a civilization that precedes the diluve,
In the mystical realm I saw a vision of 'El dorado' and I saw Dearest One and Father of many nations. I know this sounds crazy but I'm telling the truth. I was atop the pyramid and I saw Water warlock killing himself with the dagger, then we were both transported to a different place.
He remembered everything, stabbing himself in the heart, the cyan liquid entering his body and healing him and also what happened when Water warlock decided to bestow his blessing on him.
The gigantic man placed his hands on top of him and started pouring out immense amounts of flux energy to the point Uriel couldn't resist and passed out, but after that he kept going with an eerie smile on his face.
Then he saw himself and Water warlock on top of a pyramid during a solar eclipse just like last time, only now things were different.
"What are you doing to him!? Let him go right this instant!" Medusa commanded.
"You shouldn't be here, child." Was all he said in reply before taking a bite out of Uriel's heart.
"I said, let him go!" Medusa's eyes flared up in crimson as she rushed to kick Water warlock who didn't even bother dodging.
"If you want to help the kid, tell him to listen to the system. It's the only way I have to communicate with him." Water warlock said as Uriel's blood dripped from his mouth.
"Why would I do that?"
"If you value your life you won't come back here ever again. Now go, child." Water warlock waved his hand and Medusa came back to reality where Uriel was unconscious.
Medusa was beyond perplexed. She didn't expect to be able to enter Uriel's vision, let alone meet Water warlock who she didn't even think was real. She didn't know how something like that was possible, why would her trait allow her to do something like that and she didn't even know whether it was a good idea to tell Uriel what Water warlock said.
The only thing she knew was that within Uriel's body lurked something far more dangerous than anything she could imagine.
