Chapter 76 Too much

Chapter 76 Too much

Boom

Boom

Boom

A barrage of exploding knives rained down on the slender beast as it ran through the forest chasing Guilliman with all its might.

It wanted nothing more than to rip him to shreds, however... could it realistically achieve this? Guilliman was constantly harassing it from all corners.

"They are much more effective than I thought," Guilliman smiled; he wasn't a throwing knife expert, in fact, to be fair, he only started using these about the time it was made, which wasn't that long ago.

He was surprised how effective they were.

'Wouldn't it be great if I could manipulate these?' he thought in his mind.

The laws of inscriptions dictated that two separate inscriptions of different types or attributes could not exist on a singular surface.

It was extremely limiting, it meant that if he had a sword with a flame inscription, then it would always be a flame inscription unless he somehow changed it.

Just the thought of changing the trajectory of an exploding throwing knife mid-flight was mind-chilling... the damage.

-roar!!

The beast chasing Guilliman screamed in pain as one of the throwing knives embedded itself in one of its arm joints, then exploding. In a second, the creature lost balance and fell to the ground briefly.

It quickly rose up, though, and resumed its chase.

Guilliman hadn't gotten far, nor did he hide; instead, he was now dashing in the direction from which they came, heading right back to the spring.

"Slow down, we're almost there," Guilliman smirked, patting ghost on his back gently. Soon they came to a slow halt in front of an opening not too far away from the spring.

"He's still out cold? Well then, talk about unprofessional," Guilliman spoke as if this entire thing wasn't in fact his fault.

In front, the beast caught up to him and growled viciously.

Guilliman had finally stopped running; it could now enjoy tearing him apart limb from limb.

However, to its surprise, upon looking at Guilliman, a wide grin could be seen clearly on his face.

It had lost an arm, but this fight was far from over... he would kill this little shit for its transgressions.

About 30 minutes later,

"Shit, my head"

With his back resting on a tree's bark, a young man with black hair grabbed his head in pain as he seemingly woke up from a state of unconsciousness.

"That fucker!!" Morgan cursed as he looked ahead at where he stood previously.

Guilliman had just used him as bait to attract whatever monster that was. He could have killed him just then.

'Thank the heaven, it's activated on time'

He sighed.

His aspect was called Weaver; it allowed him to repair armor and weapons not limited to mundane items.

Yes, he could repair beast echoes with minimal effort, avoiding the wait time that was usually attached to doing so naturally.

However, this weaver aspect also had a little Kink to it.

In as much as it was a utility tool, he could in a lot of instances use it to fight... of course, in his case, dodge.

The apparition of a sowing instrument that came with it could even act anonymously with preset commands to save him from any near death situations.

This was how he had been able to survive this long in this harrowing forest.

"Hm?" After looking around for a few minutes, he suddenly felt the wind change as a massive boom resounded in the distance.

Confused, he crawled forward with his fours reaching the edge of rocky ground where he peered down just below the stream of water.

There, a young man could be seen with a sword in his hand and standing behind him was a terrifying beast corpse. It was mutilated, with several severed appendages; blood gushed from its underbelly, and to some extent, its head seemed to have been bashed in.

It wasn't the only one injured, though; the young man held onto his side, which was at this moment bleeding all over his clothes, staining it.

However, the young man didn't seem bothered; instead, there was a smile on his face.

He did it.

"That monster," Morgan frowned at this scene... it was just too unbelievable
