Chapter 19 The Diverse Types of Zerg Warriors
Chapter 19 The Diverse Types of Zerg Warriors
The three little warriors were awakened by Purple Pearl the next morning.
The three insects woke up groggily, and were initially stunned by the unfamiliar surroundings, thinking they were still in their original nest.
"Purple Locust, Purple Artemisia, Purple Fir, didn't you want to come and see the other Zerg warriors? Do you still want to see them? I'm going to buy Force food."
"Want, want, want!" Hearing Zizhu's words, they realized where they were and immediately flew to Zizhu's head, hanging there and refusing to come down.
"Alright, alright," Zizhu said indulgently, "Don't rush, eat something first."
It took out various fruits and pieces of wood, and the three little soldiers flew down from the horns again and happily ate the fruits.
Many insects in nature feed on trees or tree byproducts such as leaves, fruits, and sap.
After evolving into Zerg warriors, their habits remain unchanged. They still feed on tree produce, but unlike their juvenile stage where they can't finish a single fruit in their entire lives, as Zerg warriors, they can eat a pound or two of fruit, pit and all, in one meal.
This is just the yew trees; if it were a king-level Zerg warrior like the Green Bamboo Armor King, it could devour a tree tens of meters tall in one meal.
After eating their fill, the three little ones climbed back onto Purple Pearl's horns, ready to follow it to visit the trading square.
At this moment, Lord Purple Plum said to Purple Pearl, "Purple Pearl, you alone may not be able to keep an eye on those three little warriors."
"Zi Ai, go play with Zi Tong."
"Zishan, come with me."
The three little ones were slightly taken aback, but upon hearing Lord Zi Li's words, they didn't say anything more and followed Lord Zi Li's instructions, flying to the heads of the various elders and lying down.
Zishan, perched on Lord Zili's head, asked, "Lord Zili, didn't you bring a lot of Force-based food to sell?"
Lord Zili calmly said, "As long as Zitang and Zimai are here to sell Force food, it's fine. Anyway, it's such a small place. Even if they can't handle it, they can just call me."
"Oh, okay." Zishan said no more.
Lord Purple Plum and Purple Pearl each led a small warrior away from their stall and strolled around the square.
The entire circular trading plaza has a diameter of over one kilometer, and there are many stalls built along its edges.
As you can see, many stalls now have Zerg warriors setting up their businesses after paying rent.
The entire Xiangjiao Island group comprises 17 major tribes, who jointly established five trading squares.
There are more than 2 Zerg warriors on the island. Even on average, each trading square can have more than 4000 Zerg warriors visiting the business.
In reality, the numbers are far more than that. Some Zerg warriors live between two or three trading squares. They like to visit one trading square and then another, continuously selecting their favorite Force food and gadgets.
Therefore, during this season, the total number of visitors to the entire island can reach 40,000 to 50,000.
With so many Zerg warriors as potential customers, doing business in the trading square is definitely worthwhile.
A stall fee of 100 Ore Stones a day isn't much, considering that Purple Pearl's annual Life Seed production can reach nearly 2 Ore Stones, making it very easy to rent a stall, let alone for the Zerg warriors who have already formed tribes.
Moreover, they don't rent a stall for a whole month; they only rent it for about ten days at most, sell what they have on their paws, and then go home.
Therefore, in the current trading square, most of the stalls are occupied by Zerg warriors and Flame Spider merchants.
Yew perched on the head of Lord Purple Plum, watching it wander from stall to stall.
These stalls were filled with many strangely shaped Zerg warriors that it had never seen before.
But as soon as it sees them, and after a little thought in its inherited memories, it can know the race and talent of these insectoid warriors, which is a very peculiar feeling.
For example, when it saw several moths with brown and black bodies, it immediately recognized them as Morning Blossom Ripple Moths. After being promoted to Mountain Lord, there is a chance that they will awaken earth or wind-type talents.
There's also a large, yellow silkworm moth with several eye-like black patterns on its membranous wings; that's a half-eyed silkworm moth, possessing wood-type talents.
It also saw the dragon beetle warriors and the mantis warriors maintaining order in the square alongside the twin-forked rhinoceros beetle warriors. These were two other members of the large tribes that operated the trading square together with the twin-forked rhinoceros beetle tribe.
These Zerg warriors not only have bizarre appearances, but they also sell a wide variety of things; they don't just sell Force food produced in their own territory.
In addition to Force food, Zerg warriors with metal-type talents also collect metal minerals to create iron buckets that are more suitable for drawing water to irrigate the land.
Or small gadgets such as rakes made from the horns of the Twin-Tipped Rhinoceros Beetle Warrior and hooks made from the forelegs of the Zerg Warrior.
Insect warriors with wood-type talents, while selling Force food, will also put up signs indicating which wood-type ability they possess that can help plants or ordinary plants in their territory grow, in order to attract business and increase the territory's revenue.
Zerg warriors with water-based talents will take on jobs such as scouting water sources at the trading square, while Zerg warriors with earth-based talents will seek out tasks such as digging irrigation canals and transforming mountains and forests.
Zerg warriors with fire-type talents can also help clear out wastelands, and so on.
In short, the Zerg warriors in the square were all highly skilled and wanted to take this opportunity to find more work to do.
Aside from the Zerg warriors of the smaller tribes, the largest group in the plaza consisted of the colorful, eight-legged, eight-eyed, and strangely shaped Flame Spider Wanderers.
These flame spider merchants were nothing like the stingy people in legends; they rented four adjacent stalls in one go.
Their stalls were filled with all sorts of Force foods, as well as all sorts of strange items that the insectoid warriors on the island had never seen before.
Lord Purple Plum wasn't in a hurry to buy Force food, but instead strolled leisurely to the Flame Spider Merchant's stall.
There are many Zerg warriors staying here, their ranks stretching from the edge of the square to the center, occupying most of the square's foot traffic.
Seeing this, the yew tree perched atop Lord Purple Plum's head exclaimed in amazement, "The Flame Spider Merchant has so many insects here! Business is booming!"
Lord Purple Plum was not surprised by this. He explained to Purple Fir, "The Flame Spider Merchants have many Force foods in their claws that are not found on the island, and they also have many God-given Force foods in their claws."
They can tailor the Force food meals best suited to the Zerg warriors' wealth, and these Zerg are all gathered here in queue, fearing that the Flame Spider Merchants' best goods will sell out.
Upon hearing Lord Zili's words, Zishan was taken aback: "Lord Zili, does that mean we also have to queue up? Otherwise, once the Flame Spider Merchant has sold out of his items, we won't be able to buy anything."
Hearing these innocent and adorable words, Lord Purple Plum couldn't help but smile: "Don't worry, our tribe will pre-order and purchase Force food from the Flame Spider Merchants, so our portion was prepared well in advance, unlike the wild Zerg warriors who have to scramble for food."
