Chapter 97 Escape from Food

Chapter 97 Escape from Food

Mi'er slowly woke up and subconsciously touched her stomach. The round belly she had eaten last night was now gone, replaced by a feeling of hunger.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes as she slowly got out of bed and walked unsteadily out of the dormitory room.

Following the stairs, Mi'er slowly walked to the first floor of the dormitory.

There is a spacious and bright dining hall here, which serves Wu Heyi and his dormitory building.

This canteen is quite special; in addition to providing delicious meals, it also has a dedicated meditation room, a relaxation area, and a book section filled with various books.

When Mi'er walked into the canteen, the scene before her surprised her.

A row of people were slumped over the long dining table, each one looking as if their bones had been removed, lying limply on the table.

Mi'er looked completely bewildered, having no idea what was going on. But instinctively, she followed her vague memory and headed towards the kitchen.

The kitchen was filled with all sorts of food, emitting an enticing aroma.

However, Mi'er only glanced at the food briefly before turning around and walking to an empty table.

Almost the instant she sat down, her body seemed to lose its support, and she slumped onto the table like a lump of mud.

It's unclear how much time passed before Wu He and his party finally woke up from their sleep.

He stretched out a big yawn, feeling incredibly refreshed.

This was the most restful night's sleep he'd had in months! Recalling last night's experience, Wu Heyi couldn't help but smile wryly.

It turned out that due to a minor incident at the gate, after their meal, this group of people simply sat down by the roadside and fell fast asleep, looking incredibly disheveled.

Judging from their slightly tired expressions, they had obviously exhausted too much of their soul power.

Moreover, the extremely delicious meal they had just enjoyed had greatly satisfied and relaxed everyone's mind and body.

Perhaps realizing they couldn't enter the academy anytime soon, the group gradually sat down on the ground to rest.

However, who could have imagined that just a few minutes later, when Wu Heyi finished his meal with great satisfaction, he would be surprised to find that these guys had fallen into a deep sleep one after another.

In the end, thanks to the help of the enthusiastic junior students in the security department, they were able to lift these sleeping "giants" one by one and send them back to their respective dormitories.

It has to be said that these guys are incredibly heavy!

On the other side, Wu Heyi, dressed in light clothing, walked slowly towards the dormitory building with light steps.

As he walked, he was still immersed in the pleasant feeling brought by the delicious food last night.

A short while later, Wu Heyi arrived at the entrance of the independent canteen.

When he gently pushed open the door, the scene before him truly shocked him—seven or eight people were slumped over the dining table like drug addicts, their eyes staring straight at him.

If Wu Heyi hadn't clearly remembered that these people had eaten their fill the night before and were completely satisfied, he probably would have mistakenly thought that they had been starving for ten or fifteen days!

Wu Heyi's face turned completely red, and he didn't know where to put his hands and feet, looking extremely embarrassed.

He cautiously raised his hand, waved slightly forward, and stammered a greeting:

"Hey...hey! How come everyone's up so early?"

His slightly trembling voice had barely faded when the previously quiet crowd instantly erupted into a commotion.

At first, everyone looked at each other in disbelief, as if they couldn't believe what they were hearing, and then they burst into cheers of surprise.

"It really is him! We didn't mishear!"

Someone shouted excitedly.

In an instant, everyone sprang to their feet, as if injected with a powerful force, each one full of energy, their eyes sparkling with excitement.

To be precise, he looked like a drug addict who had suddenly seen the drug he had been dreaming of, completely losing his mind.

They rushed towards Wu Heyi without regard for their own safety, shouting as they went:

"My goodness! You're finally awake!"

"Yes, yes! We've been waiting for you!" The others echoed, their voices rising and falling, filling the entire room.

Wu Heyi looked completely bewildered, utterly confused about the situation.

The reactions of these people were so intense that he was somewhat at a loss.

He only felt shadowy figures moving in front of him, and countless hands reaching out to grab him and shake him.

At first, he could barely stand, but as time went on, he felt increasingly dizzy, as if the world was spinning.

If he keeps shaking like this, he'll probably fall apart!

"Stop! Stop! Stop right now!"

Wu Heyi could no longer endure the torment. He used all his strength to push away the people surrounding him and quickly stretched out his hands to make a stop gesture.

"What's wrong with you guys? Have you been under some kind of illusion spell?"

He asked loudly, panting heavily.

"My dearest ancestor! You are truly our ancestor!"

"Quick, quick, go to the kitchen and see what kind of pig feed is in there!"

Lin Bei roared at the top of his lungs as he angrily dragged out the meals that the academy had carefully prepared from the kitchen.

Wu Heyi looked over with a puzzled expression, picked up his chopsticks, took a small piece of food, chewed it, and after tasting it carefully, shook his head, indicating that he didn't think there was anything particularly wrong with it.

He frowned, puzzled, and asked, "Isn't this pretty much the same as before? There's nothing different, is there?"

"How could this be the same?" Lin Bei's eyes widened, veins bulging on his forehead, and he roared at Wu Heyi with all his might, as if he wanted to vent all the dissatisfaction and resentment in his heart.

"Don't you want to think about what those delicious dishes you brought us last night were like?"

As the saying goes, it's easy to go from frugality to extravagance, but difficult to go from extravagance to frugality! Asking us to go back to eating these things now is harder than climbing to heaven!

As he spoke, Lin Bei's legs went weak with excitement, and he almost knelt down before Wu Heyi.

Even Yu Tianheng, who was usually arrogant and haughty, had to put aside his airs and plead with Wu Heyi:

"He Yi, please have mercy and make us all breakfast, otherwise we'll really starve to death here!"

Wu Heyi was speechless; he never expected that food from another world would be so terrifying.

Helpless, Wu Heyi felt extremely guilty looking at his sons, so he quickly contacted the college cafeteria to send some ingredients over.

Half an hour later, these guys suddenly perked up, as if they'd been injected with adrenaline!

"You know what, if He Yi stops cultivating and just opens a shop, he'll be set for life!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Heyi casually grabbed a baguette from the bread basket next to him and threw it over with a "whoosh," which landed right in Lin Bei's mouth.

"If you can't speak properly, then shut up!"

"Xiao Yi, I've made a discovery!"

Wu Heyi was suddenly drawn to Mi'er's words.

"I discovered that after eating the midnight snack you made last night, my soul power increased by half a level!"

Hearing Mi'er say that, Wu Heyi thought it was just a coincidence.

But the others looked at each other and shouted in unison!

"Me too!"
