Chapter 52 Nine Realms Overlapping - 3
Chapter 52 Nine Realms Overlapping - 3
"Yeah, this damn world." Vega put down his phone and looked down at Luna, the flower fairy standing on the coffee table. "You'll be able to go home soon."
"Chirp chirp." Luna couldn't understand what the kind man was saying, but she could sense that he was in a bad mood, so she flapped her wings and flew to Vega's shoulder, pressed her little face against Vega's face, and chirped to comfort him.
When Xiao Shengxi saw this little one competing for her affection, she immediately became dissatisfied. She struggled to stretch out her body and stretched out her hands, babbling and asking her father to hold her.
"I've recalled the Wild Combat Team and put law enforcement in New Jersey on high alert," Monica said, handing her restless daughter to her husband.
Vega took his daughter, letting her hug him and press her face against his: "Well, let's leave it at that for now. It shouldn't be a big problem. The complete blurring of the various realms will only happen when the nine realms overlap, and this won't take too long. But when the nine realms get close, many weak points will appear, and that's what we need to focus on."
Monica: "Do you need to go about your business?"
Vega shook his head: "No need, it's still early, and I don't know what to do anyway."
He couldn't interfere with the natural phenomenon of the overlapping of the nine realms; he could only go with the flow and take things one step at a time.
The sudden bad news ruined their mood for sunbathing. Monica kept making phone calls, arranging adjustments to various industries, and mobilizing official resources in New Jersey and Latvia to make arrangements.
Latveria, which has been operating for many years, doesn't require much attention, but New Jersey, which is in dire need of rebuilding, is still quite chaotic, and without strict control, it could lead to serious problems.
With nothing to do, Vega grabbed a fishing rod and took his daughter and Luna fishing.
Unfortunately, his peaceful fishing was out of the question, because Zheng Xian had reported and spread the news of the Nine Realms overlapping. Just as Vega was getting ready to go fishing, his phone started ringing incessantly.
"This is just my guess; you'll have to confirm it yourselves."
"How should I deal with this? How should I know! Don't ask me, dealing with the crisis is your responsibility."
"The Earth is so big, how could I possibly protect it all by myself? I can barely take care of New Jersey, how could I possibly manage other places!"
"Blackie, call Captain Marvel back. The more powerful someone there is, the safer we'll be."
"Want to buy potions and battle dolls? Sorry, we're out of stock. The materials and crafting tools are all in Nidavellir, and I can't make them right now."
"I'm warning you, don't take advantage of the overlap of the Nine Realms to do anything you shouldn't. If you cause big trouble because of your recklessness, I won't help you."
"Yes, I am human, but I will never become an accomplice or henchman of evil!"
"A bunch of clueless idiots." Vega coldly turned off his satellite phone and tossed it aside. Why can't these idiots learn to speak like human beings? All they know is moral blackmail.
Losing interest in fishing, Vega packed up his gear and took the two little ones to the lounge area on the main deck. He turned on the LCD TV and watched Tom and Jerry with them.
Around 5 p.m., a circular passageway appeared on the front deck of the yacht, and Bana and an excited Gwen walked out of it.
"Uncle Li, we're back. Oh, what's this?" As Gwen entered the living room, she was about to share her day's experiences with Vega, but upon seeing Luna sitting on top of little Saint Xi, she screamed and ran over.
"This is the Flower Fairy," Bana, who had followed her teacher Vega for many years, recognized Luna at a glance. But she was puzzled as to why the Flower Fairy would appear on the sea. "Teacher, did you specially go to catch her for my sister?"
"Her name is Luna. I rescued her at sea this afternoon." Vega stood up. "You two watch over them. I'll go set sail."
Bana: "Teacher, are we going back?"
"Yes, something came up that I need to go back and deal with." Vega said, walking to the main control area in front of the reception area and starting the yacht.
"Is it that important?" Gwen asked, puzzled. They had agreed to stay at sea for two days, so why had she changed her mind now?
Vega: "If my guess is correct, this could be even more troublesome than last year's Chitauri invasion."
Vega briefly explained his findings, and the two girls were dumbfounded.
How come we're facing a global crisis after just a short trip out?
Gwen: "Uncle Lee, should I go to the League of Spider-Man for help?"
She spent the entire day in that ghostly spider world. She didn't go to the League of Spider-Man headquarters, but that version of herself told her that she would definitely be accepted, and that she could go to the League headquarters for help if she encountered trouble she couldn't handle.
"No need." Vega decisively refused. What help could a bunch of little spiders be? There was a chance that some people would covet the technology to travel through space and get deliberately tricked into killing a few of them.
The overlap of the nine realms is a major event, and Odin and the Ancient One will not allow the situation to spiral out of control.
Um, probably.
Considering the personalities of these two big shots, Vega lost confidence again.
He'll go back and find out what's going on from the Ancient One. If things get out of control like they did last year and the two big shots still don't care, he'll send his wife and kids to the Zero universe and stay behind to face it alone.
He won't run away.
Firstly, it's not in his nature. Secondly, having passively acquired the Phoenix Force, if he dares to run away, then most of the things that happened to Spider-Man's friends and family might happen to the people he cares about.
We must acknowledge our own weakness, and when faced with something we cannot defeat, we must learn to obey.
Time travel isn't as exciting as ordinary people imagine. The idea of doing whatever you want only exists in novels. If you actually traveled to another world and did that, you'd be a fool!
He didn't understand this principle at first either. When he first transmigrated to the underground city, he also thought he was the protagonist and the savior. He also wanted to do whatever he wanted, to be drunk on the lap of a beauty and to wield power over the world. But later, reality slapped him awake with one blow after another.
Recalling the things he did when he first transmigrated to the Arad world, Vega smiled. Back then, he was arrogant and conceited, as ridiculous as a clown. But he also really envied his unrestrained and reckless self.
Sensing the yacht start, Monica left her office on the lower deck and came up. She greeted Gwen and Bana, then went to the wheelhouse and saw Vega smiling. Curious, she asked, "Lee, what are you laughing at?"
Vega snapped out of his reverie and shook his head, saying, "It's nothing. Are you done with your work?"
Monica: "Hmm, what do you want to eat tonight?"
Vega: "Make me a bowl of tomato and egg braised noodles."
Monica: "Okay."
